to be honest is so baaaad. I don’t know for something not clear and didn’t work very well.
Paul Fan –
Only side thing is I have to pull and push in again when I start the car – otherwise, it is less static than the other ones I have tried
Kristian Ovcharov –
This product is well done and with a little manipulation, can find the perfect channel with little or no static. Although, the Clear Scan does not offer much clarity

I’ve been returning to this same product for over 6 years now because even after trying and returning several other brands’ devices, this one is the ONLY one that functions reliably with the best quality sound you can get from this method of audio-playback in your car! Although super hot and cold due to living it’s life in the car makes for about a 3 year lifespan, as wires become brittle, worn out, and eventually break. This has happened to me several times over the years and I just keep getting new ones, until I get a better car, I hope they don’t stop making these as its my only hope for listening to my music on the road!

I love my FM Transmitter, what a cool way to listen to your music and charge your phone all at once. I have read other reviews about it not coming in clear, I have learned that if you use the auto scan to search for a good station, it never picks a good station, lol. instead I used a website to find out the best radio station in my city, in the Dallas area I use 95.7.
I do wish the aux cord that plugs into the headphone jack was longer.
But for best sound, put transmitter higher on the dash, I used 3M double sided tape to stick it near my A/C vents.

I generally like Belkin products, but this one was disappointing. I think it’s probably not as much Belikin’s build quality as much as it the limitations of a FM transmission. We tried this with two different car radios and in both cases the audio quality of the signal transmitted by this unit was unacceptable. We tried multiple locations and positions to see if couldn’t achieve a decent output, but to no avail. If you decide to get this unit, be aware that the audio will be a lot less than optimal and not even close to that of a wired connection. Now we are trying to find a way to direct connect the MP3 player to the car radio via RCA or USB.

A friend of mine bought this fm transmitter years ago and she told me how great it was. So I decided to buy one. BUT I am very dissapointed. I bought it and didn’t even open it for at least a month. I started using it and it worked perfectly but after a few weeks later it just stopped working. I hoped it was just my car so I tested it in 2 other cars and it still doesnt work. VERY dissapointed it didn’t continue working. Especially since I drive a lot.

As FM transmitters go, this one is pretty good and I’m happy that I purchased it. I’ve used this approximately a month.
Let us get the negative out of the way: The ClearScan button is a joke, It does not find the best station to transmit on. Do not buy this thinking it will work, but don’t let this drawback prevent you from purchasing this FM transmitter. The failure of the ClearScan feature is what is keeping this from a 5 star rating. If it worked as advertised, I’d definitely reconsider.
Now on to the good. This does have a good transmission strength, comparable to the iRiver and Monster transmitters. Obviously the signal will get washed out by a stronger local station but it will often run great when channeled on a distant station. (The channel I favor is an NPR station in a city about 45 miles out.)
You have a full selection of channels to choose from, from the bottom all the way to the top of the FM dial. This is done by using a tuner marked + and -. Now if you have your favorite channels, the TuneCast also has two preset option buttons.
The TuneCast has the option of a PRO setting. It offers the PRO setting on off, PRO 1, PRO 2, and then PRO Speaker. I just use PRO Speaker as the go-to, as the other options are pretty quiet. As with all FM tuners, I find that I have to boost my audio to the max in order to get a good sound.
This connects to your device using a normal audio jack. (I think it is a 3.5mm audio jack.) It fits my iPod and iPhone.
The TuneCast has a USB port. This is a nice addition as you can also charge a USB device instead of blocking the entire charger. Also it has a circuit breaker in the side, easily replaceable.
The cord is plenty long. Unfortunately due to the design where the transmitter is in the middle of the cord, it often gets hooked into things in my car. (Under the coffee mug, stepped or sat upon, et al.) But, apparently the length is due to the antenna being incorporated into the cord. Some transmitters have their functionality built into the part that plugs into the cigarette adapter.
All in all, I’m happy that I purchased this item. I had read in the reviews that the ClearScan feature was not all that it was cracked up to be, and I purchased it knowing that this would be the issue. I will be very honest, if they sold this product without the ClearScan it would probably have received five stars from me. Unfortunately it is a useless feature.
If you are looking for a Transmitter, stick with a name brand such as Belkin, Griffin, iRiver, or Monster. A lot of the smaller brands may be inexpensive, but they are also poorly made.

To start off; please don’t assume that an FM transmitter is going to sound anywhere as good as if you plugged in with an auxiliary cord! It does not! Now, with that being said, I think this is the best one I’ve had so far, and I’ve had many! I love the fact that it has a USB port, so I don’t have to choose between listening to music and charging my phone (or my Gps!) I have an iPhone, but instead of buying the one with the lightening port I got this one with the headphone jack, so I’m not limited in case I get another phone or want to use someone else’s music. I also love the scan feature, as I don’t have to look for a station on my own. Sure, you may have to change stations if you’re on a long trip, or have a hard time in a big city, but that’s what you sign up for when you’re using one of these. It’s not perfect, but this is as close as its going to get with one of these things!

I drive a 1999 Ford escort, so this is a must buy for me. Over time I have spilt things on them and have to buy another. I really cannot recommend them enough. The setup is easy and the sound quality is about as good as I would expect from something like this. It is a wonderful alternative to trying to instal a new stereo with an aux cord.
