Bought this in Sept. 2022 to have my own computer set up for when I WFH which was rare around this time. Between when I purchased this docking station and a little over a year later in Oct. 2023 my docking station started having issues. My screens would go out and I had to have my IT people from work help me figure out the problem. Turns out it was possible that I had hardware issues or maybe a bad wire (though not likely due to the following) bc my docking station would transmit to my mouse, keyboard and charged my laptop but it was not transmitting to my monitors. Contacted the sellers and because it was no longer under warranty they were unwilling to help. I spent over $400 on this item (outrageous I know but that was the price for these things back then) only to have it start messing up a little over a year later AND on top of this I maybe WFH a handful of times from when I purchased it to when I began to have issues so it was barely used. I’m so disappointed that I have a faulty docking station with no kind of reprieve other than to have to buy another one especially after spending so much money on it in the first place. I would strongly suggest getting a different brand of docking station if you’re in the market or spend the extra on warranty bc the seller won’t bother to help unless you have one no matter how much money you spend with them.

I love this. I am able to use two monitors, wireless mouse, keyboard, and charge my Bluetooth all at the same time.

I ordered this USB-C docking station to try to bring down my laptop setup from connecting 5 wires to 1 and it did not succeed in the task. I specifically picked this model as I have an HP Elitebook and figured using an HP dock would be the best for the job, but there were numerous issues preventing it from working.
1. The dock advertised 2x 4k connections on DisplayPort, but even when working, it would not support above 1080p on both of my Dell 4k monitors.
2. After the laptop went to sleep, neither monitor would be detected or display until you hard rebooted it (power + F6 reboot – a known issue with this model on many support forums).
3. When I tried to up the resolution on one of the monitors to it’s true resolution (which works when connected via DP -> USB-c directly to the laptop), it disabled the monitor entirely and there was no way to reset it without uninstalling my display drivers.
4. USB connections would not function through a KVM
This dock may work for other users with other types of laptops, but for me I had to return it after 2 days of fighting with it and many wasted hours diagnosing the issues.

I have tried a few hubs (Caldigit mini, Caldigit active adapter, OKX hub, etc.) to run 2 additional monitors with display link for an M1 2020 from ONE thunderbolt jack unsuccessfully. This HP hub does that easily highly recommend.

This thing works perfectly and I love the new way of HP to ”docked” a laptop…only through a USB-C cable…brilliant…

I have a four monitor setup and I can run all four with my Mac Mini. Mac Mini supports up to 3 monitors this dock gave me the freedom to add a 4th.
I also work on a windows laptop and technically, I have a 5th screen when connected to the laptop with the laptop screen. I can keep zoom & email open and still be able to multi-task.
I was working with the Dell D6000 dock and it worked well with windows but I couldn’t get more than 3 screens to work on the mac.
With all the ports, this product earns 5 stars easily.

This works on an HP ProBook250, which does not have thunderbolt, but does have USB-C. The laptop will not charge with this connected though. You have to plug in the charger AND the dock. Dual monitors works fine and the laptop lid can be closed.
