Bought to use for my Switch as I quickly ran out of GBs. After spending over $500 dollars on the console itself and some games you can bet I was looking for an affordable choice and this is it! High Speed and 256GBs of storage, you cannot go wrong!

Recomendado.

I had previously used the 128GB micro sdcard from SP, actually from the same line (the purple one). It worked perfectly fine in my Nintendo Switch but I thought to myself after downloading a couple digital copy of games that a bump up would be better.
So after a couple months I bought this 256GB card after my great experience with the 128 card. SP has simply continued to prove to me they make quality storage mediums. Not only did my Nintendo Switch of course gladly accept the card and show the larger amount of space but the read/write speeds have even improved which is always a plus.
If you have a Switch then I highly recommend this brand as not only are they quality cards but also they are very affordable. These of course would be perfect to use in a multitude of devices that require extra storage.
As for space on these, I always would mention in detail as a learning tip to other customers about how to never expect full space to be available. This card being stated at 256GB will never have 256GB available to the user and that goes for all manufacturers and memory mediums such as USB sticks and HDD/SSD. I usually go into deeper explanation but simply its due to a difference in measurement scale used (manufactures use 1:1 measurements so 256GB to them is 25,600MB of data or 1,000MB = 1GB. When the scale that techs know is 1,024MB = 1GB). And you also always have a chunk of data locked away for its allocated boot sector and internal tools needed to keep its memory working the longest for you.
That’s the gist of it so keep that in mind and know you’re still getting a very decent upgrade on space.

I bought it for my Nintendo Switch Lite, it works perfectly. Would recommend! Good value for money.

I recently purchased the Silicon Power 256GB Micro SD Card, and it has been a reliable and high-speed storage solution for my various devices. This memory card is specifically designed to meet the needs of devices such as Nintendo Switch, cameras, Steam Deck, and drones.
The storage capacity of 256GB is ample for storing a large amount of data, whether itโs games, photos, videos, or other files. It provides sufficient space to accommodate my growing collection of digital content without having to worry about running out of storage.
The high-speed performance of this micro SD card is impressive. With a U3 rating and speeds of up to 100MB/s, it delivers quick data transfer rates, allowing for smooth and seamless operations. Whether Iโm transferring files to or from the card or accessing data directly from it, the read and write speeds ensure minimal waiting time.
The inclusion of an adapter is a convenient addition. It allows me to use the micro SD card with devices that have a standard SD card slot, providing compatibility and versatility. This is particularly useful when transferring files to a computer or other devices that support SD cards.
In terms of durability, the Silicon Power micro SD card has proven to be robust and reliable. It is resistant to water, temperature fluctuations, shocks, and X-rays, ensuring that my data remains safe and protected even in challenging environments. This durability adds to the overall value and longevity of the card.
One aspect to consider is that depending on the device youโre using, the actual usable capacity of the card may be slightly lower than the advertised 256GB due to formatting and system requirements. Itโs always good to account for this when managing your storage needs.
Overall, the Silicon Power 256GB Micro SD Card is an excellent choice for those looking for high-speed and reliable storage for their Nintendo Switch, cameras, Steam Deck, drones, and other compatible devices. With its ample storage capacity, fast data transfer speeds, included adapter, and durability, it offers great value for the price. I highly recommend it for anyone in need of expanded storage capabilities for their digital devices.

These particular SD cards were bought for my daughter’s Nintendo Switch, and my son’s Nintendo Switch OLED. We are really excited about the SD card readers that came with them for a couple dollars more.

The Silicon Power (SP) Superior Pro 256GB microSDXC card is an affordable with great read and write performance. The SP card is on the lower end of the price range for 256GB microSDXC cards but since I’ve used storage products from them, including the 128GB microSDXC, I was expecting solid performance. The SP card is a UHS-I card, with a UHS speed class rating of U3 and video speed class rating of V30, so it is fully capable of recording 4K video. SP claims read speeds up to 100 MB/s and write speeds up to 80 MB/s.
I tested the card on my Surface Laptop 3 and MacBook Pro with my Kingston UHS-I card reader and AJA System Test and got similar results: 70 MB/s Write, 95 MB/s Read. This is excellent performance for a microSDXC card in this price range. I compared against some of my other U3, V30 microSDXC cards (128 and 256 GB capacities):
– SanDisk Extreme 128GB microSDXC: 70 MB/s Write, 90 MB/s Read
– Silicon Power 128GB microSDXC: 68 MB/s Write, 85 MB/s Read
– SEKC 256GB microSDXC: 75 MB/s Write, 85 MB/s Read
The price to performance ratio is very good for this SP card, especially for under $30. I also tested the car using H2testw and it completed without errors, so no faked storage here. Great value and very pleased with purchase.

Iโve been a loyal user of Silicon Power microSD cards for years, having purchased many 128GB versions that have lasted a very long time without any issues. When I needed more storage, upgrading to the 256GB option was an easy decision.
Just like the 128GB cards, the 256GB version has proven to be incredibly reliable. Iโve been using it in multiple devices, from cameras to drones, and itโs never let me down. The speed and performance are consistent, and the price is unbeatable for the quality you get.
Silicon Power has earned my trust, and Iโll keep coming back to them for all my storage needs. Highly recommend!

Works like a charm. This memory card seems to compare to more expensive ones. Best bang for your buck in my opinion

Works well with our Nintendo Switch.
