I wanted an micro sd and got this thing so I am not happy about it. That being said, why is this company making this regular sd still? If somebody needs a big sd you can take a micro and put it into a converter. That is what ALL camera companies do.

I used this to set up NOOBS (an operating system installer containing Raspbian) for Raspberry Pi. I was able to set it up easily from my desktop PC. To plug it in, I had an internal SD card reader that I had bought a while back. This worked great with that, but I had to reboot at one point to get it to detect the card. Running an operating system from it on the Raspberry Pi was simple, and there was plenty of space for installing other programs on it.
I’m definitely a fan of the price for this memory card. It’s really small, as to be expected, so be careful not to lose it. For being so small, it really doesn’t seem flimsy. Haven’t tried it with one of my cameras yet, but I would definitely expect it to work, based on my experience with it on the PC and Raspberry pi. It’s also worked with my portable scanner without problems. The read speed is decent as well.

I have a Canon A560 that shoots video in addition to photos. My adopted grandson was about to graduate Kindergarten and I wanted to make a video of the event. Called school and they said ceremony would be 1 hour or less (this was important since the A560 will not take video longer than 1 hour). I had been using 1 GB SD cards for photos in this camera, but it was clear from some testing I would need a bigger memory card to take video. So I bought this 8 GB SDHC card. The card was shipped fast and the 42 minute video I took of the graduation came out very good. I had to buy an SDHC card reader to transfer the video from camera to computer, but this 8 GB SDHC card worked perfect and comfortably held 42 minutes of HQ video with room to spare. Happy with purchase and would buy again. Also, the card has a lock/unlock feature to prevent accidental deletions.

A different brand card. Then the one that’s on display. But still productive in camera use. You save any type from video’s or pictures.

Avoid this brand. I bought this card because it was the cheapest available (new and unopened; not used) and figured the technology was universal and basically standard across manufacturers. The card I got was a total dud, as was the replacement Amazon sent me free of charge. Didn’t work at all. I’m retunring it for a refund and buying a different brand.

Used this card with my Nikon D80. I had a couple of 2gig cards also for my trip abroad. I ONLY used this card, never needed the other cards. At the highest setting on my Nikon (10.1 megapixal) can take 1000 pictures. More than enough for my needs. I snapped almost 800 pics. And never felt I had to “save” space for another day.
Had no issues with the card with my camera or my Mac. iPhoto read it great. I did plug the card into a friends card reader, which did not read it. So make sure your card reader can read HC (high capacity) cards. Although the newer card readers can, or just plug directly from your camera. Also more important, make sure camera (if you are using for this purpose) can read HC, because not all cameras can.
Otherwise great purchase, good price. Highly recommended

Memory worked so well, and transaction was so smooth, I turned round immediately and purchased a second one as a “back up’. 8gb is as large as this little camera will take, buy my son-in-law is constantly overloading his phone’s memory with pictures, so I thought this would prevent that. So far, it’s doing all I hoped plus some. Seller got it to me more quickly than I imagined possible. All together, GREAT TRANSACTION, GREAT SELLER, GREAT PRODUCT. Thanks.

This is item is bit faster than the old cards, and hold quite a bit more for longer recordings. Works well in cameras and other products that it was designed for.
