After getting everything working in both cameras, I mounted them, one in a spot where I previously had a wireless NetVue model that worked fine for years. The mini subsequently went offline and never came back. The Outdoor 4, after mounting, would constantly return “Live video failed”. I then unmounted both of them and moved them closer to the router, much closer to the router, so much closer that the outdoor cameras were now indoors.
I can get a WI-FI signal anywhere outside on my property so I’m sure the connection issue isn’t with my router. I believe the problem is that they are unable to transmit as far as they can receive.
The Blink cameras only seem to work well enough if they can be used within about 20-25 feet of the router. Any further, they are unusable, and thus they have been returned.

Works as well as the regular Blink. Love them!

The range seems to be slightly expanded on these. I just received this last night, and was able to push these out to 62’ from the nearest mesh hub. (Using a TPLink mesh system). That’s through a cinder block garage wall. The old Gen 3 cameras got to about 50’.
