Unfortunately, the motherboard I received was defective, with the error “USB over current detected” being report by BIOS, with no USB device connected to the motherboard.

I suspect this may have been used before I received it.

    Not a happy customer.

I have now purchased and returned 2 of these motherboards trying to save a buck. The first one had power but would not boot to BIOS. The second one would not power on at all. I firmly believe that these used MBs are not tested before being resold. Pretty frustrating having to go through the whole setup process to get to the point of testing (installing CPU, Heat Sing & Fan, Memory, Video Card, and then setting up on test station). This would be even worse if I didn’t have a test station set up and had to install in a case in order to test the MB.

Just over a year into running an MSI Pro X299 as a video editing station… it died. Send the motherboard away and after 16 days in the hands of their Repair Center, I don’t even have an ETA as to when it’ll be repaired or replaced and sent back to me. Sort of KNOWING that this was likely to happen, AND my flawless track-record with Asus motherboards, I ordered the X299-A II, connected everything to it and I was up and running with only a few MSI startup items to delete and some Asus specific items to install. Back to editing as easy as that. Stress test benchmark even produced a better score than the same processor in the MSI MoBo. Excellent Asus X299 board.

Had only one issue with this MOBO. Tried to install a SADA SSD M.2 stick in the wrong socket. SADA SSD M.2 needs to be installed in the upright M.2 socket. Ended up installing an NVMe SSD M.2 stick as well. Very fast I/O. Installed the latest BIOS. My RAM was apparently to slow to overclock. I’ll update that later. The MOBO does everything I need it to do and them some. Highly recommended.

I had to return this mobo and get a new one, or so i thought. I was able to return at A Kohls and get a new one sent out from Amazon directly. Shipping and the return process was lightning fast and easy. The mobo would get hung on boot up while my Nvidia 1660 super GPU was installed, even with the replacement. Turns out I just needed to boot with no GPU installed once, then power down and restart with GPU installed. Booted up, and allowed me to update bios via internet. It is a powerful mobo for the money, and the AI overclock is great. I love it. highly recomended.

Motherboard has exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this was a high-quality component. The build quality is exceptional, with a sleek design that fit perfectly into my case.

Features: The array of features is fantastic. The dual M.2 slots provide incredibly-fast storage options, and the support for multiple GPUs/nvidia sli is rather handy for some people. The BIOS is user-friendly and makes tweaking settings easy. Additionally, the built-in RGB lighting adds a nice touch to my build, making it that little bit nicer
I never find myself short of connections due to the array of ports and a very modern io

For all the features and performance it offers, this motherboard is worth every penny. It’s an investment in quality and reliability that has significantly improved my pcs looks and performance!
If you’re looking for a top-tier motherboard that combines power, features, and style, look no further than the ASUS Prime X299-A II. It’s been a game-changer for my setup, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Highly recommended!

Using on a 10900x i9 with 20 thread cores – works great, tested overclocking, with Crosair 2×32 gb rams on one slot on each side (still 6 free). Thermaltake 3-fan liquid cooler,TT 850 rgb fan on demand power supply, Asus 3 fan super 6gb graphics card with fan on demand(fan only runs when there is heat on both the graphic and the power supply) – RGB synced with TT’s controller and i have to buy both the 3 pin and 4 pin rgb connectors for asus software to sync between all the devices (except ram from 32*2 crosair – which i am crazy about not to buy anything else)

so far one thing i cannot figure out is to enable even the m.2. disks as standard, as it says bios does not support 1 TB WD black drives. i wanted to setup a raid 1 with 2 WD 1TB drives. both does not come down as Hard raids / even the disks are not readable.

It’s a solid motherboard, I had to replace my crappy gigabyte one that gave out in only two years. This was my pick and was not disappointed. It was pretty easy to install overall. My only gripe is there is no screw slot to hold m.2s in place, it is just some double sided tape on the covers for hiding the m.2s.
