I have been wanting a 2k magnification compound microscope, but they’re out of budget.
I recently ordered AmScope M150C-I 40X-1000X All-Metal Optical Glass Lenses Cordless LED Student Biological Compound Microscope, and right after I bought it, I received a notification that this one went on sale and it included the camera holder so why not?
I put this one and an AmScope side by side and compared them. You can see the photos. The one I called “CheapScope” is from this listing.
The AmScope was brighter in general and more detailed at 1000x. I went ahead and put the same prepared slide onto the one from this listing and it was pretty dim, but I could make things out. I believe it was slightly less clear than the AmScope.
When I switched it to 2000x using the 2x eyepiece, it was so dark I could not make out any details. This is after using the knob to set the light bulbs correctly and also using the dial to increase the illumination to max. I was only able to view the details by putting my samsung phone over the lense since it takes great night shots. I had to hold the phone though because the included phone holder is not adjustable right to left. The phone holder will only work if your phone has a camera right in the middle. The phone holders also a cheap plastic and would not likely last long.

I’ve always wanted a microscope. I absolutely love this. I have a young child who follows me every. It’s imperative that your child sees you doing good things. I try to do many different things that lead to good examples. Using this microscope and sharing the experience will open up creativity. Besides that I will say that the construction is pretty good with solid parts. I have made some slides of my blood and cheek cells. I was able to see pretty clear and share the images with my family. The kit came with some prepared slides as well as some blank slides with glass accessories. Overall the kit is a fantastic starter microscope. The good thing is that you can easily disassemble the optics for cleaning as well as to upgrade the magnification. Make sure to check the thread millimeter before purchasing higher magnification. If you plan to create slides buy more slide glass.

The value here is incredible. I did not expect to get the results I’ve achieved with such a low cost microscope, but the visibility and function are just perfect. I do wish it had come with more blank slides and cover slips, as they are very fragile, but overall extremely pleased with the quality and how much comes with the set up. Pick this one!

I have 68 animals on the farm and check stool samples monthly. I don’t deworm livestock unless we have worms. It’s super easy to use. Everything fits in the bag. Works great!

It is easy to use with clear instructions. Love all the accessories. The only downside is it should have a hard storage case and not a flimsy bag which is useless for protection.
