Sounds amazing and offers 2 headphone jacks so i can switch between using earphones and a headset easily. The light up sound dial is really convenient when using in the dark.
Just wished that there was an indication on which equaliser setting that is used.

Finally got the microphone analog input jack to function, almost frustrated to the point of returning the product mainly because analog mic input was one of the features i liked most about this tech, so with one last effort went to get simple low voltage lapel mic with some adapters, and just by chance saw another mic hanging next to lapel mic, the (The Bower HD Microphone Kit), it wasn’t that expensive either so, decided to buy it to test the port with also, not knowing it came with a small (CR2, 3V Battery).
The lapel mic ( which was also Bower) did not seem to function or respond, the end of the lapel mic is TRRS. If you notice, in the picture, the PHOINIKAS analog mic input is supposed to be TRS, So I assumed that was why it didn’t work and I did not have TRRS to TRS adapter at the time to check. So i moved on to the Bower HD Microphone, It also has a TRRS connection. When the selector switch was on phone the power indicator light was off and i got no function or response, but lone behold when i moved the selector switch to camera(REFER TO PICTURE) the power indicator light came on and analog mic function/ response was FINALLY !!! visable on the sound meter in Sound/ Sound Control Panel/ Recording Tab and was also coming through speakers and headphones out of my computer and the PHOINIKAS and sounded pretty good too! (Conclusion: microphone needs to be powered for the analog mic input on the PHOINIKAS T10 External Sound Card to function. (ALSO IMPORTANT – The Bower HD Mic has a TRRS Connection, The PHOINIKAS analog mic input calls for TRS, changing the selector switch on The Bower HD Mic from phone to camera my also change output type/connection. – For Example: phone=(TTRS) Camera=(TRS). Because i haven’t been able to find data sheet yet on The Bower HD Mic, I can not say whether this functionality is occuring.) Most likely PHOINIKAS analog mic input needs a powered TRS connection. Once again the battery that came with Bower HD Mic was a CR2, 3V.
—— Next Test is portable smartrig w/ 48v phantom power with RTS connection, will post results.

I had a soundcard mounted on my motherboard using Realtek drivers; something becoming more common on newer computer systems. Failed after sixteen months and my system had no sound. Dell said only way to get sound back was ship system back, they would put in a refurbished motherboard and send desktop back to me at my own expense to the tune of a couple thousand. The motherboard would have 90 day warranty. Right!!!
I bought this external sound card at a cost of one percent of what Dell wanted me to pay and restored my sound problems using this component. Good quality and simple fix by anyone who has little tech savy.

I bought this device to replace the microphone input on my laptop (which was horrible and had a lot of background noise).
The PHOINIKAS External Sound Card worked for a while, and during this time it worked well — it had good audio quality and the volume control knob (with illuminated level indicator) was excellent.
However, the headline reads “Product seems to be cheaply made”.
After using the sound card for around a few hours (maybe 1 or 2) it started to crackle and distort — all that I was doing at the time was playing sound through the headphones and using a microphone input
Like I said, it sounded good and worked well up until this point.
After rebooting the system to ensure it was not the operating system / sound service — the device generated a lot of usb-related errors and was no longer recognized by the system.
Other reports/reviews list audio crackle as an issue — so I suspect that my issue was not a one-off error.
Since the problem was related to the failure of the device’s usb circuit/component — my recommendation to the seller (and manufacturer ZhongTian DingSheng) is that they need to include the proper component-level protections to ensure that normal usage will not cause damage to the unit (e.g. protect against transients, voltage spikes, etc).

My old motherboard sound card was terrible, biggest problem was getting Miked headset to work during gaming. Tried a dongle first, that didnโt work either. This solved all the gaming mic problems instantly. Iโve upgraded my motherboard since but I still use this because I love the easy volume control and the headset plugs right in so Iโm not restricted by being tethered directly to the pc case. Great item for anyone having problems with mic/audio when gaming or if you want longer headset mobility with easy volume controls and extra input/outputs
