I was a little leery of getting a mouse without a wrist pad; but I sure don’t miss it. The best part is the 100% difference in the performance of my mouse: more precise, and definitely faster! I guess that I didn’t realize how much my old Belkin mousepad had deteriorated. And…the non-slip property is much better as well. I wish that I had bought this much earlier, and saved myself a lot of aggravation.

Sottilissimo e il mouse ottico effettivamente si muove in maniera molto più veloce e precisa. Consigliato

I got this because my desk was not allowing my Apple Magic Mouse to function properly, and it works so well. It is very thin and sleek. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, and it is effective.

I was using an old cloth bound thick mouse pad designed for the mechanical ball mice of yore. It was literally old enough to vote and then some and was all frayed and mushed down about the edges, and, truth be told, somewhat filthy. A real man’s mouse pad. Never the less I was not really in the market for a new mouse pad. When you have used something for 23 years, you get attached to it. I just happened to see this 3M pad on Amazon with the claim of better tracking and 50% longer battery life for optical mice. So I decided to give it a go.
The 3M mouse pad works fine, but then again so did the old crummy one. I will have to admit though that the mouse moves around far more freely. Tracking is excellent. As far as battery life goes, I will never know. I bought a new Bluetooth mouse a just a week before getting the pad, so I will have no basis of comparison…not that I would anyhow. Who keeps track of how often they change a mouse battery? I have NiMH rechargeable batteries stacked up like cord wood for all the junk that uses batteries, so changing a battery is no big deal but if I can get a blue moon and a half out of a battery rather than just a blue moon, why not.
Positives:
–It stays put. The foam rubber back does not slide around on my desk, but not having the adhesive backing means that I can easily move it if I want.
–Nice free movement. My mouse feels like it is on ice skates compared to the old mouse pad.
–Excellent tracking.
–Easy to clean surface.
Negatives:
–The pad is very thin compared to the old pad and the edge of the pad is hard and sharp. If my mouse slips off the pad, one of the sliding feet on the bottom of the mouse invariably catches on the hard edge of the pad and stops dead. This is more of an issue of sloppy mouse handling on my part than a fault in the mouse pad, but it is somewhat irritating. So far I have been unable to discipline myself to keep the mouse on the pad. That’s what happens when you use a thick cloth bound pad with mushed down edges for two decades, you get sloppy.
–This thing isn’t much to look at. It is sort of a minimalist M. C. Escher that never changes. If you like an interesting looking mouse pad, find something else. Not a big deal to me, but it is rather drab.
As far as complaints that other reviews have mentioned, I can’t say that the chemical smell is over bearing. If I hold the foam side up to my nose, yes, I can smell a chemical smell, but I don’t notice it when it is sitting on the desk.
I read a review that stated the surface was not durable and subject to excessive wear. I haven’t had the pad long enough to observe that. It appears to be durable but time will tell.
Other than the hard edge, I am quite pleased with this pad and would recommend it to others with the caveat of the surface durability.

I’ve had this pad in daily use for five years, still solid. It’s survived numerous washings, a couple of cat-related bleachings, worn out multiple mice on it, and now it’s outlasted the rest of the computer I bought it for. The surface texture has smoothed out over the years, but the pattern is still pristine. 10/10 will buy again if this one ever wears out.

I have been using “3M Precise Mouse Pad with Repositionable Adhesive aka Peel and Place mouse pad” for about 2 years. This one also has the same surface. The plastic surface is very durable. This one has a latex base making it non slip. I have been using gaming mouse pads from Razer and Steelseries , even though they are good mouse pads the accumulated dirt and grime and are good only for a few washes. This one can be wiped clean using a wet cloth.
The travel of the mouse pointer is much faster and further on this. This is a good mouse pad for home and office use. If you are looking for mouse pad for carrying around I would suggest buying 3m peel and carry mouse pad which has a reusable adhesive on its back which can me stuck on the back of laptop when not it use.

This mouse pad serves adequately and is inexpensive. This will suffice until a better mouse pad comes. I will retain it as a backup.
Patrik –
The best mouse pad I have ever had. Ok, it is a bit expensive but as the header says, you get what you pay for and in this case, you will get a superb mouse pad of great quality.
I recommend this product to everyone who cares about the details and can spend approx $23 on a mouse pad.
One more thing and that is almost the most important aspect, it looks good. It matches my laptop with magnesium alloy 🙂

Experience unparalleled precision and comfort with the 3M Precise Mouse Pad, an essential accessory for any computer user. Designed to optimize mouse performance, this mouse pad features a micro-groove surface that enhances tracking accuracy and ensures smooth and precise cursor movements. Whether you’re working on detailed design projects, navigating complex spreadsheets, or gaming with friends, this mouse pad provides the precision and control you need to excel in your tasks.
What makes this stand out is its innovative design and superior performance. The thin profile reduces wrist strain and fatigue, promoting a more comfortable and ergonomic computing experience. The non-skid backing keeps the mouse pad firmly in place, preventing unwanted movement and ensuring stability during intense use. Additionally, the washable surface allows for easy maintenance and long-lasting durability, making this mouse pad a practical and reliable addition to any workspace. With its combination of precision, comfort, and durability, this pad is a must-have accessory for anyone seeking to optimize their mouse control and productivity.

Let me preface that the overall design of these is nearly flawless. The pad material and surface are incredibly durable and the thin profile makes it a dream to use every day.
However there is a flaw. Over time when the mouse pad wears from normal use the pad surface gets extremely smooth; losing the texture. When this happens less expensive mice (I swear by the incredibly durable Logitech B100’s for office use) have accuracy problems with small movements, which gets extremely frustrating. I believe it’s a combination the surface pattern being slightly too big and the pad surface itself getting glossy from use.
Swapping it out for an older fabric style causes the problem to disappear instantly, so it’s definitely a small design flaw.

Let’s be real, who thinks about mouse pads? I didn’t, until I stumbled upon this gem from 3M. It’s like finding out there’s a secret ingredient in your grandma’s recipe that makes all the difference. This mouse pad, with its sleek design and surprisingly robust build, has become my desk’s unsung hero. I didn’t expect to write an ode to a mouse pad, yet here we are.
Its surface, smoother than a jazz saxophonist on a Saturday night, has made my mouse movements more fluid than I thought possible. I’m no gamer, but I imagine this is what they feel like with their high-tech setups. The non-skid base? A game changer! It sticks to my desk like it’s been sworn to protect my productivity. No more mouse pad slip-and-slide during those intense spreadsheet marathons.
Then there’s the wrist rest. I never paid much mind to ergonomics, but this little cushion has been a revelation. It’s like a tiny, supportive pillow for my wrist, reminding me to take care of myself even during a deadline frenzy. It’s the kind of comfort you didn’t know you needed until you have it, like discovering the joy of heated car seats in winter.
And durability? I’ve spilled more coffee on it than I care to admit, and it still looks new. It’s like it has a force field against my clumsiness.
So, yes, it’s ‘just’ a mouse pad, but sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference. This isn’t just a pad; it’s a silent, steadfast companion in my daily digital quests. Who knew a mouse pad could spark joy? Marie Kondo, eat your heart out!
