I’ve never had a washer that has held up as long as this one. Some rust pots on the inside. But that’s it.

I will never buy Samsung appliances again. I spent more money trying to fix it then it is worth. Ub error.

About a year ago, we bought a used, not-far-from-new (2020) Samsung washer and dryer set from a nice young single man who was moving for a job transfer. We were impressed with the look of the machines and the information he gave us. As we were about to drive away, he said, “Oh, by the way, the washing maching sometimes has a balancing problem with heavier items like blankets.” OK, good to know!! However, NOW we know EXACTLY what he meant and why a nice guy would move everything he owns EXCEPT his new washer and dryer.
I have just made my 5th trip to the washer to try and readjust the load as the machine can’t seem to do it. This is supposed to be a water-saving maching, BUT the catch is that everytime it tries to re-balance, it pours more water into the load which it then swishes around, empties the water, tries to balance, can’t do it, pours in more water, tries again, ad nauseum. We can NEVER put a load in and leave the house because it might still be trying to balance itself hours later. We probably use more water trying to do one load than we do using the sprinkler system for our entire lawn.
If I haven’t mentioned that we HATE this machine, I’ll say it now – WE NOT ONLY HATE, BUT DETEST THIS MACHINE. We have told MANY friends and relatives to NEVER BUY a Samsung washing machine. We have a friend who has a Whirlpool like ours and absolutely LOVES it. I’m so jealous. I sometimes dream of having my old machine back with a real agitator and an ability to wash one or two towels without having to reshift them on the spin cycle every couple minutes.

We don’t buy major appliances without doing some research. Three years ago, Samsung was supposedly a good brand. What a joke.
This washer claims to be high efficiency and is supposed to conserve water. Yes, when the top section of a load of laundry remains completely dry, I suppose that would conserve water. It won’t clean clothes, but in theory it saves water. To ensure that clothes have a chance of getting clean, they have to be soaking wet before the washer is started. Failing to manually add water to the machine results in clothes that are dirtier coming out when they went in. Forget throwing a quick load in before heading to work unless you wake up early enough to walk between the nearest sink and the washer at least three times with a very large container of water. I’m confident that I use far more water to wash clothes with this “high efficiency” machine than I ever did with a standard washer.
This washer has to be continually babysat. It cannot complete a single cycle without stopping, emitting an incredibly annoying beeping sound, and issuing an “unbalanced” message. It will not start again until the clothing is rearranged. Some loads have to be rearranged multiple times. It’s useless to try to start a load of laundry at bedtime or before running an errand because you will have to get up and turn the machine off to get it to shut up till the next day or come home from your errand, rearrange the clothes, and start it again.
This is the most labor intensive “labor saving” device I have ever owned. Even with adding water and monitoring every load, it does a TERRIBLE job of cleaning clothes. Clothes some out covered in lint and bits of human hair. A person who does any sort of manual labor outside will not get those clothes clean in this washer. It’s just not going to happen.

Do not buy. Do not waste your money! We are a small family of 3. 2 adults and a teenager…. I cannot imagine owning this machine if I had small children.
You will have cleaner clothes leaving them outside during a mud storm. Unless you run a deep water wash the top clothes do not get wet much less washed. The machine has been recalibrated, tension rods replaced. It’s a nightmare finding someone that is willing to work on this machine. For the amount of money that you pay + the money you pay for repairs and parts you can buy a commercial grade machine!
I have had this washer less than 3 years. The warranty is/was a joke. I had problems with the machine soon after getting it. I mentioned it to my husband so he could look at it since he is handy but he did not want to void the warranty. At first he thought that the machine was not level so he checked it but it was…. he did the recalibration and was fine for a bit. It started giving me the UB code again and so he thought I was putting too many clothes in there he reset the recalibration but it only helped for a few washes. The machine goes into a violent spin cycle regardless of how many items are in there or their weight.
Customer service at SAMSUNG told me to make sure that the weight was evenly distributed. Which it is when they go in but once the machine starts i don’t know how I can keep the weight properly distributed. I can wash 3-4 towels and it goes off balance. It doesn’t matter what cycle i use. I can put 2-3 shirts and it goes off balance. Customer service said I am not putting enough items in the wash (really??) well when I do a 1/2 load it becomes unbalanced. When I wash a comforter it becomes unbalanced. I really don’t know what else to do other then share my story to keep people from wasting their money!
I did not buy this machine from Amazon –
