I purchased this to replace a heater of the same brand that I had for at least 6 years. It was well worth the purchase. I love that it has a remote control, even though I rarely use it (the option is nice to have). The timer is by far the best part about this heater, I love being able to set it and have it shut off automatically. Being able to set the temperature is a nice feature too.

We’ve had two previous DeLonghi heaters that have worked well each winter since 2008 so we decided to get another. The TCH7690ER seems to be working out well. Couple of modest changes. The previous models would turn themselves off as soon as they lost contact with the floor. The present really has to be tipped over before it shuts itself off. That’s an advantage if you want to adjust its position without having to turn it off and on again. The newer model has a nice illuminated display that’s always on by default but it only shows the temperature limit. I liked the older models would show the current temperature of the input air, so you knew how cold the room was, but the LCD display would go out after a short time, making it hard to read. Once the unit is turned on and set, it remembers its settings and turns on again to the same ones. But if you unplug it, you have to go through the fan-only, then the freeze protection mode before you reach the first heat mode. I guess that’s supposed to be protection against your kid turning it on when the device is sitting right next to the drapes. The handle is a little shallow, too, so you have to be careful when carrying the device not to thoughtlessly lose your grip. But all-in-all, a very attractive, relatively quiet heater that, if it proves to be as reliable as its predecessors, will be a great bargain, too (they’re still running strong after the 7 years). Did think as another reviewer remarked that DeLonghi could have provided more detailed instructions for the minor assembly involved in putting on the base. There is no heads-up about making sure to put the cord under the cord hook in the base and I just happened to notice the advisability of doing so during assembly. Makes sense, though, to ship unit with base off for compactness and avoiding breakage. Minor quibble about a product I’m otherwise thoroughly satisfied with.

I own 3 of these DeLonghi heaters. They are great room heaters. Sleek, modern, quiet, and very effective. Easy to set and self regulating, oscillating if desired, they will turn off once the desired temperature is reached, and start up again when the temperature drops to whatever you set it on. Mine are on 70″ and they keep my rooms wonderfully warm at all times. Energy efficient, nice looking and no assembly required, except for attaching the base, piece of cake even for a totally clumsy person. Good product worth the price.

This heater looks nice and do not take up a lot of room. I like that it can oscillate to even the heat flow. This tower also can be a fan in the summer so it has a year round use. I would recommend this heater. In fact I will be ordering another one

good heater, had it a few weeks now. Had the oscillating mode on all night last night and that just broke but the rest of the heater still works like new. im not broken up about the lack of oscillation i never really used that feature anyways. time will tell and I will come back and post a review if anything else does break. i do have a few complaints, that is, it does not work entirely as you might expect it to. basically the thermometer doesn’t do much of anything, my previous heater turns off when it reached it’s temperature goal, this one continues to heat well past the temperature goal. so if the thermostat is set to 70 it might over heat heat the area to 80. another little bug is that you cant have it in both timer mode and antifreeze mode at the same time, my scenario: i want the heater to turn on in case the propane heat runs out while im sleeping (antifreeze mode) but id also like to have it turn on automatically an hour or so before i get out of bed, (timer mode) this heater, while having both of those options does not have the option to do both. the timer-either turns the turned off heater on or it turns the turned on heater off-after a certain amount of time.
Edit* works ok. Heats the rv to 70+ if it’s 30+ outside anything under 30 and it doesn’t really heat the space over 60 so much as if I point it at me it’ll heat one side of me.

working well so far.

These types of heaters are very prone to failure and breakage, I’ve been through many of them. This one has so far been great, after about 3 months it has worked perfectly every day. I use the ECO setting and it keeps my small bedroom (6′ x 10′) exactly at that temp. (72) Of all the free standing heaters I have had, this one is the best – so far.

Heats up nicely and will turn off if knocked over

I’ve had this heater for one year now, and it does a great job at keeping my bedroom and hallway warm in the winter. I use it on low power mode which is plenty of power to heat the 14′ x 10′ bedroom. When I want it to heat more of my condo, I put it in high power mode and I can feel the heat streaming out of the bedroom and into the rest of the place.
Since this uses an infrared remote, I was able to connect it to my Logitech Harmony Hub which let’s me control the heater with my cell phone, or my voice via Google Assistant. Turning on the heater via my phone when I’m 15 minutes away from home and coming home to a toasty bedroom is very nice.

My husband is a paraplegic and needed a space heater, with a remote, for his bedroom. We heat the house with a wood stove and at times his room is cooler than he would like. I bought this space heater and it is working beautifully to heat his 12×12 room. The noise it makes when working is audible but not disturbing. The remote works fine. We have had it for about 3 months now and have had no problems with it.
