Fast heating (seriously fast), nice appearance. Much safer than putting a kettle on the stove, walking away because it takes so long boil and…ugh forgetting it is on the stove. Also, every kettle for the stove is either metal from somewhere that I can’t be certain of the true metal content or some glazed metal, either way, I prefer boiling water in high quality glass from a brand that i trust (yeah the burner element is metal but this is quality).

The impression you get from the ads is that water will only touch the glass. But that is not so! This is yet another kettle (albeit a much nicer looking one) with glass exterior *mated* to a stainless heating element by a .. rubber/plastic seal.. Hm! (((
I don’t have any faith in kettles made from glass “cylinder” glued to heating bottoms, they always fail.
The last kettle we bought was fully stainless. Made in China though, so in a year it started to give off a very unpleasant smell, and after boiling the water was dirty. Our water is not hard, of good quality, and still we only use filtered water for cooking. We cleaned the kettle regularly with vinegar and it always shined after the procedure, but when the issue started to return now in 2-3 boils, it had to be discarded.
Enter this “glass” kettle. From the description and pictures it looks like the water will only touch the glass. Promise of a new day, right? Well, sure – if you like boiled rubber/plastic in your tea! And you don’t know how long that “stainless steel” will last, ’cause the kettle is still “made in China”..
And the last 2 photos: 3 connector mating (great!) with only 2 prong plug (what?!) – so the kettle is never grounded! You have an appliance that pulls almost 15A current at 110V, boiling water, yet no safety protocols whatsoever!! For some reason it becomes increasingly hard to find grounded electric kettles..

I had an older one that finally bit the dust after 10+ years of almost daily use. This new model has some improvements and/or changes like a better on/off switch and tighter fitting lid which I had trouble opening at first, being afraid I’d break it as its plastic (as is the handle). Very high quality and I like that I had a choice of either black or white. Water boils very quickly and I like that I can see the water level in the glass pot.

This kettle is so well made, beautiful , with silver accents. Its a perfect size, with sleek handle. Best feature – it brings water to boil in no time. I had this brand 2x before. It is good to see the improvements. Absolutely love it.

I was so excited for this to arrive. I like all things glass/stainless steel when it comes to food and beverages. When I pulled it out of the box it had the most toxic smell. I followed the instructions to do a round of boiling water. I was hopeful that would help the smell. It did not and to make matters worse the “stainless steel” is already showing signs of rust after one use. I have a water softener so that should not be happening especially after just one use. I will also note that when it got to boiling (which it did quickly) water condensation was coming out the sides where the handle is. I am not sure if that is normal- I had it filled to the 4 cup mark. I say this to say spend your money on a different one as this has been a waste of money for me. Unsure if I can return as it has been used once.

We’ve bought several of these over the years. Unfortunately, they only last a few years, and we’ve tried other kettles, but we always come back to this one. We like that its glass, not metal, and we can see the water level. It works great. Just wish it lasted longer. Hence the four stars instead of five.

It’s a hot water kettle, it’s not gonna win any pageant awards. But as far as kettles go, this one is as good-looking as it gets. Also happens to heat up water quickly, and gets the job done. Feels higher quality than most.
