I really like the look of this set of bakeware. The gray and white combo is great. The only downside is that that one of the baking sheets came with chipped enamel, not sure if it happened in transit or what, but the enamel on the handle had chipped off. It doesn’t affect the cooking area of the baking sheet, so it’s not a deal breaker. There’s also some cosmetic issues, like dents and indents. And finally the areas under the rims can feel a bit sharp, so take care to not cut yourself.

The set looks as advertised, I like that it comes with so many different sizes. A few of the pans that I received had chipped enamel, I guess they will not last long. Another thing I didn’t like as soon as I tried to hold one of the baking pans I noticed that the edges are so sharp, not comfortable to hold at all. Overall I was disappointed with this set.

My first order can with a chip on the edge of one of the small ramekin. As this will cause rust over time, I sent the set back. The replacement order had a large chip on the largest pan and a small chip on the pie tin. In addition, some of the curled under edges are rough and may cause injuries if you aren’t careful.
I really wanted to love these as they are solid and have a similar feel and heft to an old fashioned broiler pan. Great idea but needs to improve the manufacturing, quality control, and packaging to reduce the chips and eliminate the rough edges.

I love granite ware items, prior to ordering this I already had several of their pans for baking. They are free of the weird ptfe & pofas that seem to be in all cookware these days, and for that alone, this is some of the best cookware around. This specific set contains a lot of items, but the QC may have been lacking somewhat with the enamel coating. The set I ordered didn’t have any large chips or chips on the cooking surface, but it did have some thin enameling on the rims, as well as bubbling on the underside of the pans. This really isn’t going to affect their use. For the price, even with the QC issues, this set is a steal and will last decades longer than any ptfe non-stick set. The colors are super pretty as well.
TLDR; Not the top quality from Graniteware, but the price is good for what you get – a full, durable baking set that doesn’t have all the toxic stuff on it.

Update 8/11/24: Today I used a pan for making cinnamon roles and before I started, I noticed that there were 2 half inch long chunks of the coating that had fallen off sitting on the counter. As such I changed my rating. I’ve used these sporadically and there is no reason something at this price point should be breaking after a few uses.
I’ve used several different pans in this set but I cant say I’ve used them all. But for the pans I have used, they’ve worked great. The item description say these can handle 932 degrees Fahrenheit, I haven’t tested that. 425 is the highest I’ve gone. The main thing, from a functionality standpoint these have been great. Foods are cooking evenly, haven’t had an issue with things sticking or getting burnt in. Again, from a performance standpoint, they work very well.
My concern is the inconsistent paint job compared to the cost. Most all of the pans have paint runs and in areas where white and grey paint meet, the lines are far from being straight or consistent. Considering the price point I would expect the paint to be much cleaner.

There are so many different sizes! These wash well in the dishwasher and the food doesn’t stick. They are made from a good material and I love the deep dish one! I would buy these again and they would make a perfect gift.

Are these nice baking pans? Yes. Do they look good? Yes. Does the enamel cove all of the metal? No, no it does not. And that is where the issue is. This is an $80 set (as of 3-22-24) I can buy the same poorly coated pans for about half that and they work just as good as these. I wouldn’t even mind that so much if these are made from stainless steel, but I can not find anywhere that states that in the listing and typically this type of pan is not stainless. This means that eventually these will start to let rust leak out from around the rim where it’s not coated in enamel. I hope I’m wrong but only time will tell. Either way, these are too expensive.

I had a mixed reaction after my first look at this Granite Ware. The construction was heavy enough that I could buy into the high temperature rating even though I would never cook anything at that temperature not that I even have the capability. I did settle on adding this to my camping kit where it can handle it is heavy duty, reusable, and where I would be comfortable using it on a campfire grill for making breakfast biscuits and keeping things warm. I am sure I will find more use for them, but they have worked well enough during a test run on the outdoor BBQ grill.
