I haven’t put these new tools through the paces that broke my last pair, but I have been using them and they seem very sturdy, easy to hold and best of all, they guarantee them for life!

Not many thing you buy today are good like 30 years ago, but these little garden tools are. They are very well build and I think they will last for years and years

I like the garden tools, except for one thing. On the back of the larger trowel there is a warning that says it might contain harmful chemicals or lead and to make sure you wash your hands after using. However, if I had known that before I purchased them, I may not have done so. I don’t know why the maker would even sell them knowing this. I mainly bought them for the small trowel that has measurements on it for planting bulbs, which I like.

Very good price for 3 seemingly quality tools. I go through small trowels like crazy, constantly breaking the handles. Our dirt is incredibly hard and clay-ey, so leveraging against the handles to lift out dirt causes cheaper ones to break. So far, these have been pretty tough. I like the two different sized ones, the larger one is good for scooping soil, the smaller one is good for cutting out our hard dirt. The “cultivator” rake tool is ok, but it’s almost too thick. Again, for our hard dirt, I use another one I have that has sharper points on the tips, that seems to cut through the dirt and break it up better. The one in this set is almost too “dull” at the points. We don’t really use it. However, overall this is a very nice quality set for a great price.

I am an avid gardener. I only needed a new spade but bought this set that comes with a spade (trowel), transplanter and cultivator because it was a better price than buying a spade individually. This was a smart move because these tools have lasted for 6 years of heavy use and are just as sturdy as the day they were delivered. I’ve used tools in the past that the handle bent to a 90 degree at the base when using for the first time in light soil. This set can tackle my clay soil when it is rock hard dry with no problem. The engraved measurements on the transplanter is handy when planting because it is hard for me to estimate distances and depths and I like the pointy end of the blade for digging around plants without disturbing surrounding plants. I have used the cultivator the least, not because it is bad but because I haven’t need it as much as the other tools in the set. Would definitely buy again if my set ever wears out (which doesn’t seem likely to happen anytime soon).

This is a surprisingly good set of tools for the price. They feel sturdy and have held up over one season of hard use. I always make sure to rinse them off fully and store them in a dry place so they won’t rust. I’m not sure if I would call them ergonomic, but they didn’t particularly hurt my hands/wrists and felt comfortable enough to hold.

These tools are wonderful for gardening. Large enough to make an impact but small enough to carry around. Mine travel in “Angela’s Garden 7301-909 Multi-Purpose Garden Tote, Victorian Rose” and fit perfectly in the pockets. The labels are convenient for planting more precisely when needed, but even if that isn’t needed these are still very easy to use and wonderfully comfortable. This is especially nice when dealing with tough soil. My old tools would actually hurt my hands to use on the tougher soil.

I am impressed with how comfortable but sturdy this set is. I have not regretted this purchase in the least.

Thais set is a lot better than I thought it would be. Good strong tools with a great handgrip. So far so good.

I bought these at $10. For 3 high-quality Fiskars tools, that is a fantastic value. The build quality is excellent. Rubber is thick and feels great in the hand. The aluminum is shiny, rust-proof, and extremely sturdy. The tools are very thick, but also very light-weight. I wasn’t expecting the material to be so thick given the low price. I can’t imagine these breaking during normal use (I have a small urban backyard garden plot of flowers and vegetables), but if they do, they are covered by a lifetime warranty.

Do not hesitate. If you do any sort of gardening, order these tools. I am really happy I discovered this tool set. “Fiskars” is embossed in tiny letters along the orange part of the handle, but other than that, it’s hard to tell these are Fiskars.

They come in a plastic blister-pak that you’ll have to cut open with scissors and discard. These really are great tools for the money.

I like that you can lock the shovel tools to the rake; this keeps them always together & easy to find. Very durable even after 3-4 years in this very hard Las Vegas “soil.”

I’m a professional landscaper. So I use tools like these more than the average home owner. I’ve used a lot of these things over the years and honestly I can say that these have been my favorite. The sturdiness, comfort of grip, flat ends which allow for a two handed use etc. The thing is I see these tools in different price ranges. You have the cheap ones which typically run $5-$15 a set. Which are not something people like me can realistically use on the job. Then you have the roughly $20 sets which these Fiskars use to fit in. At that price point, I feel they are great. Now though I checked back thinking of getting another set to see the price has risen up to over $30 a set. Knowing the various ways in which these Fiskars break and fail, I don’t think they are worth it.

So how have they broken for me? The claw had a tine break off when I was attempting to loosen up some soil for planting some flowers. Essentially I was striking with it rapidly and hit a rock in the dirt, which caused the break. Now things may have been different had I placed it in a spot and pressed it into the packed dirt, then leveraged it to break up the soil.

Had one of my guys break the tip of the trowel off trying to pry a brick out of the ground. And a few guys break the tool where it meets the handle. Not real sure what the guys were doing any of those times. Then one guy broke off a corner of a trowel near the tip banging it to knock stuff off of it.

In short, They are much sturdier than the cheap tools and for normal light use, they work and hold up great. They are not good for prying or striking. Which I would imagine most people would just use these in their home garden/flower beds. Thus wouldn’t have some of the issues some of us others have had. Still, with what you are getting you could do better for the same price and get a much better bang for your buck.
