It works great and it cuts up credit cards with no problem

Strip cut vs cross cut comes down to speed vs security. Strip cut is faster, cross cut is more secure.

This shredder can be used set on another basket, there is an extending side arm to help it fit over a larger bin. Some shredders are fit to only work with the basket they are sold with. A small basket is nice for saving space but if you do occasionally have a large job having the option of using a much larger bin will save you the frustration of very frequent stops to empty the bin.

Strip cut paper can make great free packing material, stuffing crafts and for crafters/ gift shops using colorful paper to make crinkle strips for decoration or gift bag filler. Bunches of strips can be easily scooped up to fill boxes and they are not so tiny that they scatter like…confetti, which is what micro cut paper is. I read the strips can be used as pet litter or bedding, garden mulch….etc… perhaps cross cut would work for some of those things as well,.

This strip cutter for its small size is good. I think the 8 sheet label is accurate, smaller batches of 4 pass with ease.

Size is great if you want a shredder more capable then a tiny desktop but as small as a bathroom wastebasket. This easily fits under a desk but small/ short enough to sit on a desk/ work station.

If shredding medical records, sensitive material, it is a judgment call, the cross cut at this time Amzn brand is $4 more.

This is Not for cardboard shredding. I tested 2 pieces from a delivery box and though it did shred, the card board first needed to be cut down to fit the shredder, the shredder did cut through without jamming but it seems a lot of work to cut up a big box and the shredder did warm up so I think doing this often would burnout the machine.

I also tried a heavy stock report cover, if done one at a time, it easily shredded this cardstock.
2 pages of the same card stock and the shredder was slowed down considerably.

Delivery was a disaster. The Amazon box was dumped at my door completely torn open, ripped apart, contents looked like they been through some trauma. Prime delivery is consistently bad.

THE SHREDDER. IT IS PERFECTLY ADEQUATE FOR HOME USE. I HAVE NOT HAD IT FOR LONG SO CANNOT REALLY JUDGE ITS DURABILITY. IT SEEMS TO BE GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY. IT WAS VERY EASY TO SET UP.

I was pleasantly surprised by ability of this small machine. It has only one flaw so far which is it jams when basket is full. Not an issue as much as warning. It has small shredder that sits nicely on supplied bucket but has extender arm to use with larger bucket. Fast and even shredded papers that skewed. Thah used to jam last machine.

Does what it says very well and great value!

It only slices the paper in a vertical direction, no cross cut, but good enough for me. And nice price, light weight and small.
