They are really expensive but very useful. I love my set but just a little too much for them.

Like other missing tools, no screwdriver set like shown. Reached out to Amazon and they sent me to manufacturer, I haven’t heard anything back after numerous emails.

The Gearwrench 686 tool set is a very nice set, I am very pleased with the quality of the tools I recieved and it was packaged well. I do not leave many reviews on my purchases because I read far to many reviews complaining about issues with items that clearly state what it is, and what it does or doesn’t come with or do. I just want to point out that this master set DOES NOT come with any screwdriver set as the picture on the listing shows and what the box contents state in the listing for the 686 set. the box contents say….” ‎Assortment of 686 GEARWRENCH Chrome Socket, Impact Socket, Ratchet, Wrench, Ratcheting Wrench, Screwdriver Set”, so this listing is very deceiving, someone said the 700+ kit is the one that has the screwdrivers, I don’t know if that is accurate, I just want to help others not be disappointed when they don’t receive what they think they are in this set!

Missing tools from listed set – False advertising and Amazon didn’t stand behind it – they sent us to the manufacturer for complaint.
Missing sockets – screwdriver set – long list of missing tools etc… Very aggravating! Amazon referred us to GEARWRENCH who told us this happens all the time… Buyer BEWARE!
GEARWRENCH sent a little piece of crap set of tools – to say they were sorry…

From other reviews I was hesitant to order. Folks keep saying parts were missing, but thats because there isn’t actually any product picture for this package. The product picture shown on amazon is kinda just generic. If you call gear wrench, they will give you an itemized sheet of everything it includes.
Basic run down, almost no skips… Metric and SAE, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 drive sizes.
6 point standard and deep sockets
12 point standard and deep socket
6 point standard and deep impacts
84 tooth ratchet and flex head ratchet with extensions and swivels
Impact extensions and swivels
Combination wrenches
Racheting combinations wrenches (the one way ones)
Stubby combination wrenches
3/8 dr and 1/2 dr speeders
All drive size standard length breaker bars
A 1/4dr screw drive grip socket driver
A set of 1/4″ nut drivers
It does NOT contain any crows feet, flare nut wrenches, pliers, adustable wrenches, hammers, allen/torx, screw drivers, picks, punches, bit drivers, or bits. These are NOT listed on the itemized sheet and NOT provided from gear wrench with this package. That being said it doesn’t have any cheap filler garbage, and I have yet to be able to find any way to beat the price of this combined package by ordering other brands mix matching, I’m always around $400 over.
I bought it and I’m sure happy with it. Its literally too many tool to fill a tech cart. Your gonna need a full bank service cart at minimum. I’d recommend a larger than 42″ double bank in all honesty if you wanna use organizers.
I would recommend this package and buy it again, and I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. I honestly think folks just didn’t take the time to get a list of what comes in it before hand and know what they were getting.

If your looking for a less expensive alternative to great tools this it. The tool kit doesn’t come with a ton of the little driver bit. There are a few but they do not make up the majority of the kit. Some reviews complain about the screwdriver set. I contacted Gearwrench up front to ask what all was in the specific kit and they sent me an excel sheet with everything. Photos are deceiving and feel like this might just be a stock photo that has not been updated. I received all but one tool and the company contacted Gearwrench and had that tool shipped to me ASAP. This is a very well put together kit and would recommend it to someone just starting out. The company shipped my original order very fast and was very responsive to all messages I sent. Would definitely recommend using them.
