I recieved said item went to upload it on the computer and the disk wouldn’t come out of the sleeve. I looked at it and saw that it had been glued to the sleeve!!!! The second disk was glued too and was in worse condition!!!! I love buying from Amazon I doubt this is their fault. I had been waiting for this item excited to learn a new language and what I got was the one someones child package on take your kid to work day. Instead of paper sleeves it should go in plastic cases to avoid glue. We’ll see if the replacement is in better condition.

Received product and proceeded through chapter 1. It would not go to chapter 2 because it said I needed the password. I entered the password and it still would not let me into chapter 2.
Called customer support and they are useless. They could not make my password work to proceed and they were not concerned that their product did not work. They did not offer to send me a new CD to load or wanted to make it write. They just said send it back.

You’ll definitely learn Spanish! Rosetta Stone is great & they deliver on their promise. However, they don’t get into any grammar, pronunciation, difference between Mexico & Spain, or why you say a word as you do- they just ask you to repeat it. I used this to prep for a Spanish placement exam & it did the trick, but I had to get to level 3 to do so. They definitely teach you traveling Spanish. If you want to use this for conversation, you may have a hard time.

My wife was disappointed at the difficulty of using the program. It needs better instructions up front and a more intuitive interface. A more computer-sophisticated user would not find it as difficult.

I got this a long time ago. To be honest, it’s pretty tedious. I still plan to finish the program but you need to be disciplined about putting in some time each day with it.

I’m enjoying the Spanish lessons very much. I never thought that learning a language could be so easy. There is a level of repetition re-inforcement (to me) like; the same situations presented in various contexts so the learning never gets boring and one becomes familiar with the actual sounds through the headset-microphone. Similar things repeated in different ways is a great way to become familiar, both visually and through audio to a different set of circumstanses.

I’m surprised at the poor reviews. Apparently, the packaging issue has been resolved, as my discs were not glued to the box. That aside, I LOVE this program! I took Spanish in high-school, over 20 years ago. I didn’t do well then, and have forgotten all but “hola,” and “gracias,” since then. The first few lessons were pretty easy, very basic, but I was amazed at how quickly my vocabulary grew. I put the audio companion in my car, and can actually picture what they’re saying without any translation. I’m stunned! I’m close to the end of level one, and it’s gotten a bit more difficult. But at the end of each little section, I am joyfully surprised at what I’m actually retaining. This program is great!

I was really disappointed, after all the rave reviews this software will not install on my Vista laptop. I keep getting different error messages. Their support is no help either they just blame my computer and tell me to contact the computers manufacturer. I know my way around software, it is definitely not my computer, its called crummy programming. Instead of fiddling around trying to make my computer accept this software I am sending it back, I will try another company. I haven’t had this kind of trouble with software since Windows 95.
