I’ve been wearing Blundstones for over 20 years. The company has shifted production of the boots from Australia to Korea and other Asian manufacturers. While the stitching is better on the boots, the leather is not as thick and the last has appeared to have changed. That being said, these boots are a high volume boot that work well for folks who have wide feet. The boots are meant to fit loose and non-wide footed people can wear them comfortably. The 550 series has a softer, glove-like leather that I personally do not prefer because it doesn’t seem as durable as the leather used in the 500 or 200 series. Nevertheless, I continue to be a die hard Blundstones fan and wear a pair almost every single day.

Habe auch ein paar 500er und im Vergleich ist der 550er hochwertiger. Vor allem das Innenfutter aus Leder erleichtert das An- und Ausziehen sehr. Ich habe Schuhgröße 42, hier hab ich wieder wie beim 500er die 41.5 genommen, die passen mir perfekt. Die Schuhe sind leicht, robust, dicht, rutschfest, und lassen sich auch bei Städtetrips problemlos den ganzen Tag tragen. Die Sohle beim 550er noch abriebfester sein als beim 500er, aber auch beim 500er habe ich nach einem Jahr kaum einen Verschleiß bemerkt. Es sind vermutlich die besten nicht genähten Schuhe, die ich habe, und die bequemsten Boots.

My daughter got a pair of these boots while traveling in Israel a year ago, wore them more days than not over the past year, and couldn’t recommend them enough. She wanted another pair in a different color, so I bought her one when I was buying myself a pair. They are very comfortable boots. They are true to size and easy to slip on and off with the tags. I found them to be comfortable as is, but they have spacers that you can put under the removable sole should you find that they are too roomy. I have sensitive feet that blister easily, and these only took a few days of wearing them to have them feeling like they were forming to my feet with no blisters at any point. They’re cute with pants tucked in, rolled up, or over them. I think they look nice for women, and a friend just purchased a pair that that look great on a guy. I’d recommend these to anyone considering this style of boot.

I have been a loyal customer of these for many years, even though I had heard about the issue with soles that deteriorate. I just experienced it with my most recent pair and I will never buy them again. They did not just deteriorate, they fell apart into pieces. If you look online, there are countless threads and posts about this problem. I found another brand and will happily use those. I wrote to Blundstone, But have not received word back yet. For this kind of money, it’s unacceptable.
EDIT: they wrote me back fairly quickly, but the process for them to just examine the problem was onerous. ON TOP OF THAT, they wanted proof that it came from an official retailer. I got them from a reputable seller on Amazon, but they were apparently not sanctioned. Either way, I’m done with this company.

I love these boots! They appeal to my comfortable, practical, naturesque style and sensibilities, and they look really cute paired with leggings. The rustic brown color is beautiful and versatile, and the back of the boot is kind to my achilles tendon which has been giving me some trouble lately. A little roomy in terms of fit but I do not mind that. I would rather have the ability and freedom to wear thicker socks over being stuck with a pair of boots that fit like a second skin. So glad that after months of mulling over whether or not to take the plunge, I finally decided to go for it and make the purchase. Definitely a Blundstones fan!

My first pair of blundstones and I can say they are SO COMFY. Right out of the box I noticed they fit like a glove! Highly recommend these and would 100% buy again. These are a great price for what you usually pay for quality blundstones. Usually they are $200+ I paid $165 for these and so worth it! They feel great, look great, and came with insoles. Seems to fit my foot perfectly, with no break in time.

I stand on concrete for a good portion of my workday. These shoes have great support, the toe box is wide, so my feet can actually spread and I can wear a thicker sock I ordered a size half smaller than what I normally wear and the boots fit perfectly. Get these Chelsea boots!
