This is the best utility coat. Works great for the barn horse chores. The bottom zipper can unzip up which allows for movement with riding. Very warm and durable. Size is true so if you like to layer by wearing hoodies underneath, I would size up.

I really like this coat! I got an XS and it fits perfect. Cuffs not too long or short and I like the elastic to keep snow and wind out.
Nice touches like snaps in the back by the waist to take it in a bit and lots of pockets. Very flattery and you can tell they thought of a woman’s body when making the coat.Not bulky, boxy men Carhart looking.
I like all the pockets and the hood is not too huge or floppy. It seems versatile enough to wear shoveling snow or going to a party.
My only complaint would be that I didn’t get two pockets in the chest area as pictured and I’ve contacted the seller about that. I want the two pockets! My coat only has one pocket at the chest.
The material seems a bit more rugged than your average rain coat and I’m hoping I can wear it in the colder winter months but it does seem more like a spring and Fall weather coat.
It’s light but cozy, easy to zip and although form fitting doesn’t feel restrictive.
I hope I can get one with two pockets!
Update. I contacted Carhart and to ask why the coat pictured has two pockets but what you receive is one. Response was shoddy, sometimes they add something to make it look more attractive. Huh? Ok, the coat is great but they shouldn’t have deceitful picture of two chest pockets when there is only one. If you carefully read the product description you will see it has one zipper pocket on the upper left side with an interior pocket beneath it with a snap. How they managed a picture with two snap pockets by the chest is still a mystery but you’re not going to get that.
I do recommend this coat!

Thank you Carhartt designers for making a coat that really packs a punch in terms of quality and durability. Highly recommend for anybody looking to stay warm without so much weight.

I’ve always hated winter coats to the point that I just don’t wear them. I hate how bulky they are and would rather be cold. I decided to try this Carhartt and boy am I excited for a winter coat for the first time in my life. It’s extremely warm for how thin it is. The sleeves have elastic on them so cold air doesn’t enter. Theres a double zipper so if I’m outside working I bring the bottom zipper up a little for flexibility. It’s also great in rain. I wouldn’t say it’s appropriate for a heavy downpour but it’ll keep you dry in anything else. Great coat and great value.

I read many reviews to help me figure what size would work best (I usually wear a medium in tops, sweatshirts and jackets) and I’m glad I stuck with purchasing a medium, it fits great! I like that it goes a little bit longer in the back to cover my butt. Lots of pockets which is super convenient. This jacket is ideal for spring and fall weather.
