This is my 6th pair since 2005, as I keep wearing them every summer, daily, and misplaced a couple of them in my many travels.
The best sandals. Period. I tried wearing Teva but did not like it as much as these.

The Chaco Women’s Zcloud 2 Sandal has proven to be an absolute game-changer for my backpacking trips and river adventures. The comfort level of these sandals is unparalleled, making them an essential companion for long hikes and water activities. The design is not only stylish but also incredibly functional, providing excellent support and stability.

What sets these sandals apart is their versatility. Whether I’m trekking through challenging terrains or wading through a river, the Chaco Zcloud 2 Sandals offer the perfect balance of comfort and durability. The adjustable straps ensure a secure fit, and the LUVSEAT footbed provides exceptional arch support, making them ideal for extended wear.

The durability of these sandals is impressive; they withstand the elements and rough terrain without sacrificing comfort. The non-slip outsole gives me confidence in various conditions. Overall, I highly recommend the Chaco Women’s Zcloud 2 Sandal for anyone seeking a reliable, comfortable, and versatile footwear option for outdoor adventures. They have become a staple on my backpacking trips, and I wouldn’t embark on an outdoor journey without them.

My old chaos (double strap) were a size 7W, I normally wear a size 7.5. This color didn’t come in 7W so I ordered a 7 and 8 hoping one would work. With some adjusting to the straps, the 7 fits perfect!

I have had my last pair of Chacos for about ten years and wore the bottom out. These are my favorite go-to shoes because you can adjust the straps to fit your feet, they offer great foot support and you can wear them rain or shine!

The new ones seem to run the same size as my old ones, but I think they have since made the straps a little longer for people with larger feet. Therefore the ends were super long, but I just tacked them up and seems to work fine. All in all they fit and feel like my old ones, and I am pleased.

First time buying Chacos and I’m very happy with how they fit and perform. Already been rafting and lightly hiking. Love the internal strap adjustments so you can get them to fit nicely without over tightening. The material design is really great too! Happy with them all around.

I thought I’d post this for those who are in between sizes, since a lot of reviews tell people to size up. My regular shoe size is a 7.5 wide and I have wide feet with a normal width in the heel (think duck feet). I generally size up when half sizes are not available, so I ordered an 8 wide (sandal on the right). There was too much toe room and they felt generally ill-fitting and awkward. The back strap was too loose and couldn’t be tightened without pulling the top strap too tight. I then ordered a 7 wide (sandal on the left) and they fit perfectly. They feel comfortable and not at all clunky on my feet like the 8 wide did. I’m still getting used to the footbed, as I’ve never worn Chaco’s before (the footbed is much more substantial than the Teva’s I’d been wearing). I’ll come back and update once I’ve worn them more. I was able to first try on different styles of Chaco’s in an outdoor store, but had to go online to find them in a wide width. The model without the toe strap was more comfortable to me, but the toe strap makes them feel secure on my feet. I also like the single strap vs the double strap model. It’s way too difficult to get the double strap adjusted properly. Anyway, I’m keeping the 7 wide, so my advice is to try to size down if you’re in between sizes, depending on how you like your shoes to fit.

Update: I’ve had these sandals now for about a year and after the adjustment period, I love them. I just went to a convention that had a ton of walking, and these were more comfortable to walk in than my expensive running shoes. My only issue lately is that the straps keep loosening on their own, and I have to keep tightening them.

I did a lot of research before buying these Chacos. I keep hearing how awesome they are, and how they support your feet and last forever, etc. I settled on the Zcloud model because they supposedly fit true to size and the sole is cushioned. Here are my thoughts after having worn them daily for two weeks:

    * The straps are fairly easy to adjust. If the directions on the box don’t make sense, there are plenty of youtube videos to help you.
*I wish I could have tried a wide option. For some reason, they don’t make wide in women’s 11 (Why, I have no idea. Chaco, can you help me out here? Doesn’t seem fair), and I didn’t like the strap options in the men’s version so I stuck with a regular width. I do not normally wear a wide, but right at the beginning of my heel where the rear strap comes out of the shoe is somewhat tight.
*The length is right on – no problem there.
*I found that it took me almost a week to be able to comfortably wear the shoes all day. The Zcloud soles are apparently softer than the regular Chaco soles, but don’t expect super cushiony. That being said, once I did get used to them, they are now the sandals I automatically reach for in the morning.
*Now that I have the straps adjusted to my feet, they mostly stay put and I don’t have to spend a lot of time adjusting them. I was a little worried about this, as I have a pair of Zongs from a few years ago that I stopped wearing because they continually tightened around my big toe and I was always having to stop and readjust them. These are great in that aspect – no frequent adjustments required.

Overall, I’m happy with these shoes. They are not exactly what I expected and they do take some getting used to, but they are comfortable and offer good support. I’d be thrilled if Chaco would recognize the need for an 11 wide in women for those of us who do not wish to order men’s shoes.

UPDATE: Three years and three more pairs of Chacos later, I am in love with this brand. I sent the original pair back to the company to have them restrung and they look like new shoes. The only thing that bothers me is that, except for the pair I had restrung and specially requested longer straps, the buckle sits right on my instep, which I don’t find particularly attractive. It doesn’t affect the comfort of the shoe either way.

Bought these to replace my original Chacos from 2014. These are super cute and comfortable. I recommend going with the cloud…a lot better step if you wear these a lot.
