I have tried all the expensive toothbrushes out there and normally I stick with Phillips, but I decided on a whim to purchase this one. Best decision ever! The price point is great and the quality of the product amazing. It’s not so fancy that you don’t know what to do with it but just enough to tell you what you’re doing wrong or right. Great life battery and low charging time, it has excellent power and no noise at all.

Review for: Oral-B iO Series 3 Limited Rechargeable Electric Powered Toothbrush, Blue
This is an edited review. Wow! This toothbrush is professional grade in its performance! Much quieter than a less expensive one, which my new one replaced. I’m only getting 1 speed on it so I don’t know if it’s defective or I’m just not using it right. I will need to look into this further. But all in all, it’s a plus! But be warned, the brush heads are a whole lot more expensive. I don’t know why oral B had to change the shape of the head connection to the body.

Toothbrush turned out faulty as it doesn’t charge. Tested it on another working charger but not working. Not sure what I can do now as return wi dow closed in Jan 2024. Next time i will buy it from in store to have better protection.

After years of using a Philips Sonicare unit, it finally died (internal switch failure not under warranty). So I went the cheaper route and bought an Oral B simple unit for less than $50. It’s been fine but I have to say the force is aggressive and sometimes my gums are not so happy after using this. Jumped on the “io3” and the level of vibration is much faster yet so much gentler. Cleanser faster too. Heads of course are more expensive and proprietary to the IO series of tooth brushes but that’s OK. Nice head case and travel case included.

Someone has already said this and, yes, it does get a bit too slippery unlike my previous one that seemed to be rubber coated. It’s a bit big for me but it does the job. I like the different lights when using different pressures. This is helpful.

The toothbrush cleans very well and is easy to operate, comes with a carrying case and a spare brush head. But be aware if you have an older Oral-B, and have extra brush heads, they will not fit on this brush.

I thought this was a little gimmicky with all the lights/flashy things when you’re just trying to quietly brush your teeth either in the morning when you just woke up or at night when you’re about to go to bed and neither times really want lights in your face. I bought it anyway because the colour is cute and it was on sale. The flashy lights aren’t all that bright or in your face as I thought it might be, so thumbs up to that.

I think kids would really enjoy/benefit from this toothbrush because it turned the chore of brushing your teeth into a game. It goes green when you have the right pressure on, white when the pressure’s too light and red when you’ve pressed too hard. And the timer tells you when to switch to a new quadrant of your teeth. Once you’ve reached the time you’re supposed to be brushing your teeth and stop, you’re rewarded with rainbow lights! …okay fine, still gimmicky, but I’m good with it.

I know this has different settings for sensitivity, deep cleaning, tongue cleaning and daily cleaning but I’ve yet to venture outside of daily cleaning – for those who want to change up the game, option is there.

SIDE NOTE: I read one review that said this leaked and a toothpaste-y mess would run down the whole thing while you brushed your teeth. Mine doesn’t do that at all.

LAST SIDE NOTE: This takes a different brush head than the regular oral-B which kind of sucks because I was buying bulk from costco.

This toothbrush seems to be of great quality 2 months in. It works well, the battery lasts longer than a week, and I love that it lights up green when I’m pressing too hard on my teeth. I’m happy with the purchase.

It has pressure sensors if you are an agrresive brusher and the light turns red to alert you to ease up. Different speeds and timer that turns off after 2 minutes. Great purchase and easy to travel with and holds a charge. I took it with me for 5 days without the charging base and no problem! My teeth feel so much cleaner than a regular brush and gets in the hard to reach places. I like how it spins and not just vibrates to clean!

The round brush action is great, and the item looks and feels fine (clean lines, elegant). But the bright green pressure light is the worst thing for night brushing because bright light interferes with sleep signals (melatonin), and the light is close to your eyes! I try to cover it up w my hand and a Kleenex, but would much prefer no light.

Also re the app, i don’t want to check my phone at night to brush my teeth either. This model
does not require that, but I mention because it’s another bell and whistle that makes people look at their phones at night. Think about it: It’s late, people want to get it done – brush, floss and do the mineral mouthwash. I also try to do the WaterPik at night, but all these oral hygiene steps do take time.

Oral-B – please make a simple electric toothbrush with no lights or app syncing, and please offer value multi-packs of the Gentle Care and Specialised Tip replacement brushes. These particular brush heads are very good (softer bristles are as important as pressure). Users should replace the brushes regularly but they are not cheap. So make profit from the brush heads (like printers and toner) by encouraging frequent changing of brush heads. Volume packs (not just 2 heads per Pack) would be good because less shipping and packaging waste would be better for the environment.
