Very nice. very light and comfortable. yes a small magnification but hardly noticeable. Do help with eye strain. Amber tint helps as a night light setting program but these lenses are probably better at blocking harmful light. They do hold good to the head, however I’ll probably get a rope to hold them on.

First I never write reviews or answer questions but I will for these glasses that is how much I love them.

I have been looking at Gunnar’s since they first appeared at an electronic store by me. I have a problem that I forget to blink when I’m concentrating. I have 20/10 vision so I have never had to wear glasses but I protect my eyes the best I can by wearing sunglasses when needed. So I finally did my research on these glasses that claimed they could help protect my eyes while on the computer I desided it was worth the pretty high price.

So the review really starts here.
When I first got these glasses I will say I wish they came with a hard case but I was happy that they came with a nice cloth sack that also works as a glasses cleaning cloth. Be ready with some good sissors and some band aids to get into the packaging but honestly these glasses are worth that little inconvenience.

So ok we have the glasses open and out of their pouch so now what. They are heavy duty glasses with a comfortable nose piece. The lenses are kinda thick and offer some magnification. Now these are like neon yellow lenses so when you put them in everything looks yellow. If you play TF2 then imagin having jarate on you at all times. I thought I was going to hate the frames if these glasses since they have don’t have typical ear pieces but I don’t they are wonderful honestly I don’t even notice the metal on my ears.

Ok so really those are just the basic physical details of the glasses now how do I like to use them?

I play tons of video games, at work I’m always in front of my computer, and my favorite thing to do when I’m not on my computer is to watch tv. At the end of the day my eyes are normally tired sore and itchy. I also normally go to bed with a pretty big headache. Since getting these glasses my eyes feel the same as when I start my day. I still get headaches but not as frequently or as severe. I ended up loving the yellow in almost all of my games. I say almost all because some games for me color is important like the sims. When I’m designing a pattern on the wall it want to know what color it is, but when I’m looking out for traps in a cave in skyrim or in a dark area shooting zombies in a fps these glasses improve the contrast so now I can see them better. I even wear these watching TV and at work, so I don’t just use these for gaming. They really do remove the glare from the screen. When I take these glasses off while looking at my computer screen, the screen feel so bright and harsh to me now.

What are a few things I don’t really like about these glasses? I mean they can’t be perfect right. Well they are pretty darn close. I personally would rather have the regular curved ear pieces that gunnar offers on some of their other glasses that aren’t specifically for gaming. I know these are designed for use with a headset but I would really just like to see some of the gaming glasses have curved ear pieces. Now why do I feel so strongly about this? I am a very clumsy person and sometimes if I’m playing an online game with other people I can only take very quick breaks. Well the 2nd day I had these glasses I ran to the kitchen and pulled a glass out of the dishwasher and when I bent over these glasses slipped right off my face Onto the tile floor. One of the arm thingies flew off and I chipped and scratched the lenses. These can’t really even be used with a glasses holder because there isn’t much to hold onto. But still why do I love my broken scratched glasses? Well the arm just pops right back in! There are no pesky screws to break or have to find I couldn’t fix the lens but honestly it didn’t scratch as bad as I would have thought and I don’t even see the scratch while I’m wearing them. The only other thing that I can really say I don’t like about these glasses would be the magnification, but really I can’t say that I hate it. It makes me dizzy to walk around in these glasses, but these aren’t the outdoor glasses these are gaming glasses for use in front of your computer. I don’t really notice the magnification while I am in front of the computer but as soon as I look away I really do. I’m not sure if this is one of the features that reduces eye strain but if it is then its worth it.3

I am very glad I bought these glasses, so glad in fact I have already bought another pair. I just yesterday ordered a pair of the haus glasses that have the ear pieces I want! although those are just the computer glasses and not specifically gaming glasses I think they will suit my needs. Why did I need two pairs? Well I like these glasses so much that I have one pair at my desk at all times and the haus glasses will be for me to take to work and my boyfriends house so I can play games in my gunnars everywhere! I hope this review helps someone else to make up their mind on these glasses because I wish I wouldn’t have waited several years before finally just going for it.

I have been using these daily for a few weeks now, as I like to give a product a fair review after the “novelty” of a new toy has worn off, and give them a fair chance. They have helped with eye fatigue from staring at P.C. monitors all day long as my job and as a student. I didn’t think the magnification would help me much, as I use a very high quality and high res 27 inch monitor most of the time, but it surprisingly helped with text on the screen as well. I am not sure if this is attributed to the magnification, or to the enhanced contrast of the slightly amber lens. I also used them a little bit for gaming, on Call of Duty, Diablo 3, and StarCraft 2, and they did help with the first two, but I don’t really see any need for them on games like StarCraft where the contrasts and colors are already well defined and nothing really “hides in the shadows” or blends together. The lenses themselves seem like they are high quality lenses, and they do what they claim to do. The frames however seem a little flimsier than I prefer. I am going to assume that they are designed this way to keep them very lightweight, and to not interfere with a headset or headphones, and they have accomplished both of these goals as well by doing so. They are comfortable, and you tend to forget you have them on after awhile. When you take them off, be ready for things to seem a little blinding at first, as its going to be a bit of a shock to your eyes. Do I recommend? Yes, if you are staring at a computer monitor for long periods of time, and you have a problem with eye fatigue or headaches, these did help me quite a bit. For gamers, the small amount that I tested them in games, they worked well and helped the contrast of camo in dark situations and color schemes, and in Diablo 3, I didn’t lose the cursor as much in the hordes while fighting. If you are using a “fast” monitor (with a TN panel), I’m sure they will help even more than they did on my IPS monitor. I dropped a star for the flimsiness, as they seem very delicate, and because there is no sense in a product coming in triple packaging.

I bought two of these glasses. One pair in April ’19 and another in July ’19. I hadn’t used since prior to the pandemic and when I did they were fine. After pulling both pairs out today I noticed both of them the lenses are starting to crumble from the edges where the lenses meet the frame towards the nose piece. One pair was in hard case and one was in the microfiber slip that came with them. I like the style and they were fine before but don’t expect them to last longer than a couple years before just literally falling apart.

To be fair, I did get them as a lightening deal for $60, but having used them now for about a month, I can honestly say they have made a huge difference. I don’t use them for gaming, so I cannot comment on some of the claims–targeting better and such–but I CAN say that they have significantly reduced eye strain and fatigue from long hours looking at screens for my work. I am also getting fewer headaches, but there are too many variables affecting my headaches to say that is much more than a correlation.

I do wish they fit slightly closer to my face, and I have tried adjusting the nose pads to accomplish this; however, this resulted in the glasses wanting to slide down more often, which I found more annoying than the distraction from looking down with my eyes rather than with my head. Keep them clean, and use the protective pouch when not wearing. They do attract smudges from who knows where like a magnet.

This model is so light that I almost do not feel it at all. I do not wear glasses or contacts, but you can also get prescription lenses through their website.

If your job has you looking at a screen 8+ hours a day, these are definitely worth your consideration. You can also check their website–they have MANY other models with a variety of styles.

No more eye fatigue. I’m a software developer and looks at computer screen for about 8-9 hours. I got these glasses for prevention and I’m glad that I did. After using it for about a month I can say that it actually helps.
