I bought these because I look at screens for 3 or 4 hrs. a day, plus watch TV in the evening. Prior to purchasing these, I used a pair of clip-on lenses from another company for a couple of years and they did make my eyes feel a bit better when looking at screens but did nothing for my interrupted sleep at night. These lenses make a difference in my sleep! They are a deeper amber than the last pair. I believe they do actually block the correct wavelengths that can improve sleep. All eye strain is gone as well. I would buy these again!

I”ve been using blu-blocking clip-ons for evening computer work and reading, for several years now. This particular brand is higher quality (sturdier & doesn’t fall apart (yet). I’m on my second pair, because I lost the first ones, not because anything was wrong with them.
This particular brand does a better job of blocking blu lite, as when I have them on….any indicator lights in my house on the fridge, the air purifier, etc etc. I have to pull the glasses up for a moment to see what color the indicator is…..because when it’s indicating blue….(cleanest air)……I CANNOT see the blue color at all with these clip ons.
If I lose these ones too…..I’ll seek out this particular brand for another pair.
I’m a chronic insomniac…..do they help with sleep? Yes. Most definitely.
But I appreciate them the most because these clip ons work great to reduce that harsh lighting eye strain discomfort in my eyes, that only happens when I’ve been reading or on screens in the evening hours. If I remember these clip ons as evening is just setting in……no more burning, aching eyes & fighting blurry vision from the harsh lighting.

I purchased the two pairs (day and night) of these glasses. They come in a small cloth bag and include a nice plastic case for each pair to hold them when not in use. They are very light and it’s easy to forget you’re wearing them. They clip on glasses fit my prescription glasses (Oakley’s) well. They cover about 90% of my prescription lenses with just a small gap at the bottom which doesn’t seem to negatively affect anything. The clips are easy to use and easily attach to my glasses. I don’t know how long the ciip-on mechanism will hold up under daily use but they seem to be well built. Very happy with them so far.

So I’ve been doing a lot of research on this stuff and trying to figure out what would be the best option…
– I knew that I needed something that would just clip over my prescription glasses, because I didn’t want to have to put on my contacts to use a product.
– A friend recommended blue light glasses for general sleep hygiene, which may in turn help with my ADHD symptoms. While I can’t speak on that just yet, I will set a reminder to update this review in a week so that I can assess sleep quality/motivation stuff. If it improves sleep quality, I will update my review.
-I also would like to add that this is NOT a paid review, which I’ve been super wary of when it comes to Amazon reviews. I am hesitant to trust rave/ “BUY THIS NOW!!!” type reviews. I decided to write a review so that people like me might have an easier decision process when it comes to newer products that might be considered snake oil.
PROS:
-Definitely block out blue light. I am wearing the amber lenses. While outside, I accidentally put regular garbage into my blue recycling bin instead of the black one.
-Easy spring mechanism to clip on. I don’t need a flip-up, and I read that they didn’t add it to minimize weight. I don’t know how much it would add to the weight, but the clip-ons are definitely light enough for my needs.
-Noticeably ease eye strain. I didn’t realize how much direct sunlight caused eyestrain, but it definitely made a difference outside (no squinting, less need for my eyes to adjust).
-Satisfactory build quality. I haven’t compared them other glasses, but these definitely do not feel like I was scammed/cheap-ed out on.
-Comes with a microfiber(?) carrying case.
CONS:
-The glasses are very slightly asymmetrical in assembly on the spring mechanism, which doesn’t affect the functionality of the glasses. If the company is not a huge manufacturer (which I’ve read they are not), I can forgive this.
-I did notice there was a slight bit of glare reflected when faced away from the sun.
-There’s not much pizzazz with the box it comes in, nor any special offers/marketing material, but I guess it’s a pretty utilitarian purchase.
CONCLUSION:
While these are higher in price than other products, I think the overall blue-blocking is very effective. The build quality is good, but not 100% perfect. The design is simple, and it covers my larger-frame high bridge lenses quite well– probably about 1/4 of an inch is not covered on my lenses. I also like the retro look, but this is just personal preference. Won’t make any recommendations for anyone else, but I’ll say I don’t regret the purchase.
EDIT 7/29/21: So I’ve been using them for a little bit now, and I can say that I like them a lot. They seemed to have a pretty good effect on making me able to sleep faster — I could be on my phone in bed and still feel the need to sleep. It’s difficult to say on whether the overall quality of my sleep is better, but I think the ability to fall asleep easier is worth it to me. They are well made and worth the cost, IMO.

I use blue-light blocking glasses in the evening to help quiet my mind for sleep. I alternate between glasses and contact lenses, and I’ve got an excellent pair for when I’m wearing my contacts. However, I’m wearing my glasses a lot more so I needed something that would have the same effect and fit over my glasses.
These are perfect. LOVE them. I measured beforehand using product description/photo and compared to my own glasses, and they fit great. They are lightweight and gently clip on. They block just as much blue light as my other pair. Great, simple solution. Very happy with these.
