I’ve become so much better at my suturing skills after purchasing this practice pad. I would highly recommend this to any researchers who need to perform surgery for your job who didn’t learn how to suture in school. My job requires me to perform surgery but without a medical school or nursing background, I felt like I would need to take it upon myself to work on my skills and this has really gotten the job done. HIGHLY REC!

Very bad matrial. It easily cut by the suture.
    Not useful at all

Great product overall. Instruments on the basic/cheap side but still usable. Plenty of suture. The suturing block itself is pretty decent unless your practicing subcuticular closure, the material tears easily and makes it hard to do a decent closure.

Well designed/made, I’ve used the kit twice now and it simulates human skin well. Great practice kit for medical students.

A little on the pricey side but its great for practice—better than using fruits in my opinion

for the price, no complaints from this guy, plenty of sutures provided with the box to get good reps in and build up confidence and muscle memory. i will mention the sutures can break pretty easily when pulling to bring the skin together, but for training purposes it’s good enough. i get batches of expired suture from my clinic so it’s not a huge issue for me but something to note. skin material seems high quality and durable. it does tend to pick up all sorts of hairs somehow (even on a clean glass table) but it cleans very easily, you can just rinse with water and dry. the instruments are standard quality and workable but i did swap them out for my slightly fancier and personal preferred ones (i hate the curved hemostats). overall, great to practice and would recommend.

The suture kit itself has all of the tools that you need to learn how to throw basic ties and learn how to instrument tie. It has a needle driver, scissors, pick-ups, as well as a scalpel and blades to learn how to cut. The tools themselves are good quality and are durable. The needle driver locks and unlocks well which is good so the needle does not slip out. Also, they give you many different styles of practice sutures to try from which makes this product a good deal. This kit is ideal for learning how to tie surface/top stitches.

Some of the downsides are the suture pad itself. The silicone is a bit tough and had to suture. Also it is difficult to practice deep suturing since it is hard to take the deep bites needed for a proper deep suture. Also the needles are big and hard to use on a smaller suture pad like this. But overall, it is a good choice for a beginner learning how to suture.
