I just happen to have an old school mercury thermometer in my greenhouse, but it’s challenging to read it at a glance. However, I believe that this technology from last century is probably quite accurate as there’s no components (circuit boards, batteries) that will degrade. From what I’ve been told, mercury forever has the same characteristics, particularly if it’s sealed in a glass tube.
The greenhouse can get pretty hot, I don’t doubt that, but I know what 120 degrees vs 105 feels like and so I am certain that this thermometer is way off at higher temps. Maybe at lower temps too, I don’t think I go into the greenhouse much when it’s freezing outside. So now I don’t know if I can trust it’s relative humidity settings either? At any rate, it’s going to have to suffice for now, but I would say that overall my Doquas is bogus.

It does exactly what thermometers have been doing for centuries, so that part’s all cool. But don’t be deceived by the pictures, this thing is stupid small. Yeah, I know (now) that it has the dimensions in one of them, but c’mon. This thing is 2 thumbnails x 3 thumbnails big. haha. It works, but if you were expecting a desk thermometer, or wall thermometer, bust out the magnifying glass… 🙂 I literally laughed when it fell out of the 8″x6″x6″ Amazon shipping box. Actually glad I saw the product before I threw the padding away.

This thing is great, it helped me figure out why things were freezing in my fridge considering there’s not temperature gauge in my fridge. It helps me understand the humidity of my room where I keep a 3d printer. It is very small, the pictures made it seem like it would be around 5-6in square, its more like 1-2in square.

Wanted to make sure the room is staying at the right temperature so I know when to adjust the thermostat if need be.
