Purchased May 19 and installed with a Mantle Mount MM700 over the fireplace. Replaces a 2019 Samsung QN55Q8. So far, so good. Was able to purchase for under $600.00 with pre-release pricing. Even at full price (current) of $749.00, it is still something to consider. Hopefully techy owners will start publishing setting suggestions as nothing to date is available. Incredibly easy setup with Google TV (no more Samsung proprietary Tizen to deal with!). New Sony I was considering would have been at least $300.00+ more than this unit and for our streaming purpose and connecting with my Windows 11 Plex server, that additional significant jump would not have been justified. Simply no problems or issues to date. Software updates are quite slow but the system works. Looking forward to Google’s new Android TV 14 platform on this unit which was beta released this week. A huge plus is that I was able to bypass the 10/100 Ethernet (limited) connector by using an Ethernet to USB adaptor and getting most of my home 300 Mbps download speed to operate this unit with. The odd thing is the lesser priced line (Q6) has a 3.0+ USB port while this line (Q7) has the older 2.0 USB port. Cannot figure that design/production decision out! Why the newer TVs are not simply installing Gigabit ethernet ports is beyond me as the increased cost cannot be that noticeable. Very satisfied with construction, picture, (4K looks great) and yes, even audio quality to date. Using a Zvox AV100 via the optical audio cable as an augment for my aging ears vs. dialog. Time will tell, but for now I highly recommend this 55 inch unit. No, I do not use it for gaming, over the air antenna sourcing, nor is it hooked to an actual provider cable. 4.5 stars instead of a full five due to the 2.0 USB port inclusion rather than the 3.0+. Update 6/13: Price drop to 599. today. Close to presale of $569. that I got mine for!

The Q7 is a true powerhouse in the world of entertainment. With its impressive array of features and stunning visuals, this television excels in almost every aspect. From streaming movies and TV shows to gaming and enjoying your favorite series, the Q7 brings content to life like never before. However, its Achilles’ heel lies in handling fast-paced sports action, which somewhat detracts from an otherwise remarkable viewing experience.

    Picture Quality and Display:
Without a doubt, the Q7 boasts a mesmerizing display that captivates viewers. Colors are rich, vibrant, and accurate, while the contrast and black levels make for an immersive viewing experience. The resolution ensures every detail is crystal clear, allowing you to appreciate the fine nuances in movies and TV shows. During static scenes and slower-paced content, the picture quality is nothing short of breathtaking.

    Versatility and Smart Features:
One of the standout aspects of the q7 is its versatility. Whether you’re streaming your favorite shows via the integrated apps or connecting external devices, this television accommodates all your entertainment needs. The smart features are intuitive and responsive, offering seamless navigation through various applications. Additionally, the voice control functionality is a welcomed convenience, making it easy to find and play your desired content with just a few words.

    Motion Handling and Sports Viewing:
Unfortunately, where the Q7 falls short is in handling fast-motion scenes, particularly in sports. When watching sports action, there’s noticeable blurring and judder, which can be distracting and lessen the overall viewing pleasure. While this flaw doesn’t significantly impact other forms of content, it’s disappointing for sports enthusiasts who were hoping for a complete entertainment package.

    Audio Performance:
The Q7s audio performance is decent, offering clear and dynamic sound. The built-in speakers deliver well-balanced audio across different genres of content, ensuring an engaging experience. However, audiophiles and those seeking an exceptional home theater experience may prefer to use external sound systems.

    Conclusion:
The Q7 is a true all-rounder, excelling in various entertainment categories with its outstanding picture quality and smart features. Whether you’re into movies, TV shows, or gaming, this television doesn’t disappoint. The unfortunate drawback, though, is its subpar handling of fast-motion scenes, especially in sports. If you primarily use the TV for non-sports content, it’s a top-tier choice. However, sports enthusiasts may need to weigh the incredible picture quality against the slight disappointment in motion processing. All in all, the Q7 is a solid investment for those looking for a versatile and high-performing entertainment hub.

I had been shopping / researching tvs for months. From Sony, lg, Samsung, Hisense, onn, Omni firetv, Vizio, and Iโ€™m sure I missed a couple. At the end of the day, my most important thing to me at the end of the day is picture quality. I first looked at entry level TVs, Samsung cu7/8000s, etc. I thought hey a 75โ€ tv for less than 500$ how could you go wrong? That was where I couldnโ€™t have been more wrong. I went to a few stores to check out the pictures in person. I then realized for the picture quality I am looking for, Iโ€™m going to have to pay around $2000. I still wasnโ€™t ready to pull the trigger yet. I started looking into tcl, hisense, and some of the other โ€œcheaperโ€ brands. I think it was Best Buy that had a few of the tcls on display. First I had looked at the 75q650 and thought hey thatโ€™s ok, but I am not impressed. The salesman there told me to check out the next series up, which had a 120hz panel and better display which was the 75q750. I was immediately blown away. I then felt like I was looking at one of the $2000+ oled TVs. When prime day came around I decided it was time. I am extremely happy with my purchase so far. Other than the built in tv audio, this tv goes over and beyond expectations. I use a soundbar personally so this tv turned out to be the perfect fit for me while staying way under budget. Highly recommended.
