Kitty Sift Disposable Cat Litter Box – Large, 6-Pack

I absolutely hate cleaning the litter box. I feel like to clean the litter box, I would need to wear a hazmat suit. Even for one turd, it grosses me out. These are excellent. I literally put two down, fill with litter, and then two weeks later I go down and I throw them into a compost bag(use oko cat litter), sweep the floor, then put 2 fresh ones down with new litter! This keeps smell at bay and they do not soak through at all, very thick! If you don’t mind cleaning cat litter, I feel like you could get away with another 2 to 4 weeks use of these(total 4-6 weeks).

I bought these as I was doing an 8 hour road trip and had to bring my Cat with me, as he’s on medication. It worked perfectly and didn’t leak, smell or cause a mess. Definitely great when you need something temporary for your fur baby.

Used for my cat while we traveled. I was surprised at how durable they are because they feel rather thin and flexible when you first take the stack apart. But each one did the job, no seeping through, and made clean up so easy at the end of each Hotel stay. Just fold up, litter included, and put in a garbage bag. Really made taken care of the cat so easy.

I have bought this item several times and never had a problem. I received the litter boxes May 17th but didn’t open them until this morning, June 1st. Three of the 6 boxes were torn from one corner, down the side, and a little underneath. I wasn’t pleased about that at all, but since I had them so long before opening, I don’t plan to try and return them. I will order them again, but next time will check immediately for damage.

I give this a 4 star, because my failure is not due to the manufacturing flaw of the product. in fact, it is well made, the base box also appeared quite thick, thicker than the nonsifting ones, which is good. one star off is the gaps are really too wide, and small pieces of feces can fall through. Depends on how active your cat’s bowel is (mine is a kitten, and if a cat can look embarrassed, I saw it on his face).

My problem is I recently adopted a kitten, and he can’t use clumping clay, but has developed a good habit with pine pellets which I also like. So I am looking for a reasonably priced environmentally friendly disposable sifting box for pine pellets, as I abhor cleaning (litter boxes). There are plastic sifting litter boxes that are relatively inexpensive, but I can’t justify disposing them at the frequency I prefer. Then I saw this sifting litter box, knowing very well what might happen from other people’s reviews but had to try. The bottom is even raised so there is a nice gap for saw dust! But the pellets just went through… Doubling the boxes does not help, only consumed more pellets, and my hope went with the pellets down the openings. I went as far to drill holes in the nonsifting box, and happened to pick the one that came with the sifting boxes. Now, I only have simple DIY tools. The base is of good quality because after about 20 holes, my drill gave out a few coughs and refused to work anymore, and that was just 30% of the box. While I was contemplating buying a stronger drill, a moment of clarity made me wonder if my life had come to this.

So, if the maker of this disposable box read this, please consider making one that will work with pine pellets. Or if anyone knew of where to purchase a decent environmentally friendly disposable sifting litter box (of good price!), please kindly let me know. thanks.

P.S. I know I can try sifting liners, but there are logistics that need to work out first, especially when the kitten can turn into a were-kitty.

Not as durable as a plastic liner but durable enough to work and boy is it convenient. Urine does not penetrate it. I can use one for a couple of months and i am a very clean person. Zero cat smells in my home. Scoop regularly. Add fresh litter as needed
