This light technically works and sticks well to the top of the tank, however, the “white” light setting glows blue and does not light up the whole tank as much as the light that came with the tank kit. It’s a decent replacement light for a 5 gallon, but my 10 gallon is still very dark, and I may have to order a second one to make it brighter. I do appreciate the timer function. This makes it very easy to turn the tank on and off without leaving the light on too long.

Would be great if it was brighter, but works well otherwise

Easy to fit as a replacement for broken LED fish tank lights. Used the sucker cups to hold it in place on the plastic lid which seems to work. Remote control is a nice option. Good price compared to buying branded replacements from local aquatic supplier. Lights are bright and loads of colour and fade options using the remote.

It’s a nice light, lots of colour choices. The timer is really helpful. The only issue I had was I found the directions confusing.
The remote doesn’t work unless you have an open aquarium stand or leave the door open.

Very nice led light. It’s keeping my live aquarium plants happy too.

The only downfall about this light when you put it on night vision it stays on there for a little while and then it gets brighter during the night but other than that really love that you can change the colors on the light it really brightens up my fish tank I did not use the suction cups that it came with I drilled holes in the lid of my tank and zip tied it to that only because of what the other review say about the suction cup how they don’t stay

Bought this light for two reasons – the price and the options. For something that doesn’t cost a whole lot, it sure does a ton! I can choose the light settings from dim to bright, different colors and set a timer. I can also set it to RAVE mode and all the light colors flash. It’s an easy to clean light and i love that you can submerge it so you can cast the light any way you want. It’s a great little light. Easy to install and will definitely purchase more when the time comes. Highly recommend

This light is okay, the remote is not very sensitive and sometimes the buttons aren’t accurate, but eventually it gets it sorted. It is not a very bright light, but I still have java moss, weeping moss thriving and a few stem plants that are doing okay. The suction isn’t 100% , one side tends to come lose but the other holds on for dear life so at least in doesn’t end up floating around the tank! That being said I am happy with the value for money and all the options it offers as far as colour changes.

I have a 1.5 gallon sponge bob themed tank that his light was perfect for for and gave plenty light to the fish the remote did not work as well but the plug in has a way to still change the light color and was really vibrant and perfect size

Had another light that only needed new suction cups. Decided to purchase this entire new unit as it wasn’t much additional cost. Very happy with my decision. Haven’t tested the timer function yet, but the ability to customize the color alone is worth it. The remote is a big plus also. Fantastic light.

The light itself is great and feels well made and is nice and bright. There are 2 minor niggles I have, though.
Firstly, the sucker pads are rubbish and it regularly falls off into the water.
The second one is both annoying but slightly amusing. As you can see in the video, the Sky Q remote does strange things to it, but only the volume and power controls. If you have this light in the same room as the telly with Sky Q, either keep the remote for the light handy, or if you’re technically minded, cut out the existing infrared receiver and solder in an RF receiver which isnt affected by TV remotes (which use infrared).
Otherwise, this is a great product at a very reasonable price!

Update. Have purchased the 7” for a divided tank and though they fit nicely on each side of the divided tank, I am happy with them. Not super bright but perfect for the bettas so less bright is ok. See picture.
Purchased a size down for my 5.5 gallon tank and very happy. Even happier that the remotes work on both lights. Was able to setup timers and light preference on both at same time so even happier.
I really hesitated on this light. Read reviews and decided that I would give it a try. My tank has an old style light system and I wanted to upgrade. I have a 10 gallon tank and the 15” is installed on the front glass and I do plan to attach it to the actual hood in the near future. For now it works really well where it is. Love the colour selections and the remote works great as long as I remember to point at the wired control and not the light in the tank. Hoping it holds up and will update at a later date. So far happy. Well packed and arrived when expected.

I read the reviews before buying, and one of the biggest complaints of people said it wasn’t bright enough. My guess is it came on on a lower setting and they never figured out that there was a brightness button on the remote control. I bought it for a nightlight for my fish tank so I wasn’t worried about the brightness and wanted to dimmer light. I had to dim it to one of the dimmer settings because it was definitely brighter than what I needed. Unless it breaks and I will update my review, but it’s definitely worth the 10 bucks. The kids love that we can switch it to multiple different colored lights and I have it set to come on at 8 PM when the light built into the fish tank goes off and it comes on a nighttime color & on a dim setting now. It was exactly what I was looking for and super happy that has a timer built right into the light on less thing I needed to buy.
