This was a BEAST to put together. I seriously lost my temper and almost cried. I understand why the assembled versions at the pet store cost more.
That said, once it was together I loved it. I have one small rabbit who lives in it. The other rabbit, who lives next to it and not in a cage, has been chewing the clips that hold it together from the outside. He also knocks off the hay holder to steal my little one’s hay. I don’t think it was designed for my circumstances so I will still recommend the cage.
It’s easy to clean. My little rabbit uses the area under the shelf as his bathroom. I can lift out the shelf easily to clean under it.
I don’t use the built in food bowl. That was too hard to clean quickly. When I’d lift out the shelf to clean the cage the food would spill everywhere. I keep his porcelain water and food bowls on the shelf and remove them for cage cleanings.

The ad was a bit misleading but it’s a very good size for Guinea pigs and hamsters probably but definitely not a 3 year old lionedheaded rabbit. Great for him for when you have to go out. Very good size for that. I do love it.

It was a little difficult to put together and I would prefer a metal door because Guinea pigs chew everything. But it’s bigger than I expected and my grandsons Guinea loves it! If it chews the door we will use it’s old cage to replace the door.

With these cages getting more and more expensive, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this one seemed bigger than I’d expected, lol. Lots of generous space for my two babies to romp around in. Its simple design allows for hideaways and the top open feature is my favorite in that the whole top opens up and that makes cleaning it so much easier! I wish these things didn’t cost so much for so little material, but it is what it is, right? I definitely recommend this product if you have one or two piggies (but no more than that as the more you have the more space they need to play/live in!). Good product.

Really nice cage. Large enough for my Rex and easy to assemble/disassemble the top when I have to travel with my rabbit. Great quality for the price. The hiding spot is a little bit low for the size of my rabbit but she likes to go on it. I took off the plastic bowl as she was just getting it off the rack throwing it away and chewing it. But which rabbit does not do that ? 😉

The picture of what is shown is NOT what they send you. The cage pictured is a Midwest cage. I have 3 of those in 2 different sizes. This cage only opens from the top, which isn’t horrible, but the directions absolutely suck. I had to use zip ties to get the thing together. Horrible. I had to step away. It took me way too long to put this together. I didn’t even read the reviews because I HAVE THE CAGE PICTURED. Anyway, it’s together and I left the zip ties on it to reinforce it. I have a baby bunny in it that will eventually go live outside in a wabbitat near our barn when he’s an older, so it will make do for now. BUY THE MIDWEST CAGE AND FORGET THIS HEAD ACHE. Pay the extra money for the Midwest and save your sanity. Thats what I get for trying to save some money. This cage also has a plastic ramp on the side of the cage that if the animal started chewing at would most likely be able to get out bc it’s plastic. So it’s not a full metal end piece. It has the hole for the plastic ramp to flip up and “click” into place. Was not mentioned anywhere, because I would have bought it.

I hate it so much. Biggest waste of my money. First off it took me 3 hours to assemble because instructions are not clear and there’s so many parts to it to install. Secondly everything is so cheap. The gates everything, My bunny likes to chew and hook her teeth on to cages and I bought this one hoping it was strong enough to resist her pulling but it bent so easily it’s ridiculous. Also the parts meant to hold the cage together are cheap and unstable it’s so annoying y’all need to make more secure parts. Every-time I open the cage to feed my bunny it falls apart and it’s not due to my construction of it, the parts are just cheap. If I could I would return this cage in a heartbeat. So pissed.

Wanted to get my dwarf bunny a new cage as was moving and his was old. He’s a free roam bun but if I’m not home or want to keep him contained for a bit ill put him in the cage. After reading reviews I was a little nervous about it coming damaged and how easy it was to assemble. Came in perfect condition and was super easy to put together, no issues at all. Love that it opens from the front so I can just leave that open for him, easier to clean too. Also the ability to take it apart and pack it away is convenient. Super excited for him to check it out!

I got a baby dwarf bunny and this cage was perfect for him. It looks small in photos but it’s bigger than I thought. I love it. I definitely recommend this. I will say I didn’t use the ramp and shelf it comes with to add more hide outs. Also I filled the water bottle with water and the water bottle holder couldn’t hold it full or even half way filled. The water bottle itself doesn’t drip.

This cage is the 2nd one our rabbit has had in 4 years. The first cage probably would have lasted longer if we did not move from one coast to another so it got pretty banged up. The main problem in this particular cage was the instructions. With this cage it only had pictures and #’s for parts, nothing in writing to help you. Ended up going on You Tube to watch a video. Unless your rabbit can go in and out of the cage (which ours doesn’t) we don’t need to turn the ramp around.

I have tried many cages and have found the Ferplast are the best. I have 4 rescue Piggies, 3 Ferplast cages. 2 boys can be together in the giant XL and 1 boy lives in this model, his brother has the other matching one. They are spacious, easy to tidy up or deep clean. I use fleece liners, prop open the gate on the the front with a clip and can sweep, refresh hay bin, water all easy access. I have told others about this brand and model and they agree: 10/10.

My rabbit can hop around with sufficient space. But I find cleaning a bit of a hassle as you need to lift the wire part up and pour the litter. With such a big tray, it’s a bit cumbersome.
