I’ve been using the Kaytee Aspen Small Animal Pet Bedding for my guinea pigs, and overall, I’m quite pleased with it. The bedding is made from natural aspen wood shavings, which are free from harmful chemicals and additives, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for my pets.
One of the things I love most about this bedding is its excellent absorbency. It keeps the cage dry and odor-free for a longer time compared to other beddings I’ve tried. Cleaning the cage has become much easier, and my guinea pigs seem to enjoy the clean and comfortable living space.
The shavings are also virtually dust-free, which is a significant plus. I’ve noticed a reduction in respiratory issues since switching to this product. It’s soft and gentle on my guinea pigs’ feet, and they love burrowing and nesting in it.
The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey compared to other options. However, the quality and peace of mind it provides are well worth the extra cost. If you’re looking for a reliable and safe bedding option for your small pets, I highly recommend Kaytee Aspen Small Animal Pet Bedding.

Bedding is soft and lightweight, fairly easy to clean. Fragrance is light, not too overwhelming. Absorbency is pretty good. My guinea pigs tolerated very well. Poduct came fast and in great shape. Price is very fair and reasonable. Would recommend to any guinea pig owners!

Full of little brown mites, and super dusty. Gave my hamster a respiratory infection (clicking noises when he was breathing) and vet confirmed both the mites as well as respiratory infection.

So I bought my 8yr old son a hamster for his birthday.. I figured small, easy clean up…Boy, when I first bought the hamster from the pet store the salesman was just throwing all this hamster stuff at me left and right. Probably bc he knew I was a hamster mom for the first time. I bought all the stuff obviously lol… Fast forward 2 days later my whole bedroom smelled of ammonia AKA “Hamster Urine”…PEW… I couldn’t even swallow… I was like what did this guy sell me “Wet napkins” as bedding lol…..I had no idea that bedding definitely makes a difference.. So being the Amazonian Shopper I am for everything else lol, I went a searching for absorbent good quality hamster bedding… And this popped up. Priced well and good reviews..I outway the good to bad if theres more good I give it a shot…I purchased came next day with prime… When I say WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! GOOGLE says change your hamster bedding once a week, but who wants to sit in their own urine 6 days a week hamster or not. So I change every 2-3 days for her comfort! However, I did an experiment with this new bedding just to truly see how absorbent and odor controlling it was. After 4 days I had to sniff extra hard close up to her cage just to make sure she peed lol… Amazing product as far as absorbency and odor control.
However, it is a tad on the not so soft side but it’s not hard tho.. So I just mix it with the soft napkin like bedding they also sell and stir it all around so she has both comfort and absorbency. Whenever I change her bedding she’s happy and starts running all over the place lol

I use this for 30+ snakes. I was using sani chip- which I like a lot but is $40 per bag now. This is more cost effective and gets the job done well. The snakes like it for burrowing, it smells good, sucks up moisture when there is any, and isn’t dusty (there’s dust, but none of these products can ever be perfectly dust free). It’s still quite expensive for what it is, but it’s the best for the money imo. 4 stars because it really could be cheaper……

Brilliant quality but a smaller bag than i hoped for. Saying that its compacted well so there is more inside than you expect. It did take several weeks to arrive.
