This telescopic extension pole works surprisingly well. I was not sure about it when it arrived but I have since used it multiple times to lift up not only string lights but extension cords and their plug ends. This telescopic pole works, the design of the head looks a bit odd but once you have used it a couple of times you get a hang of it.
I have a multi storey deck on one side of my house and I like to setup holiday lights that run up and down between the multiple floors. I have small holes I drilled into the decks on each level that I can fit the light cables and extension cords through. This pole allowed me to lift the ends of the extension cord up through the hole allowing me to avoid having to get out the tall ladder like I normally do.
The overall quality of this telescopic extension pole is decent, it is made of metal sections that click into place. The pole is quite short and compact when not in use and can extend out to be about 6ft long, see attached photos. The pole can handle some weight, which you will get a better feel for when you use your one. I am glad I got this pole, it has allowed me to stop using the tall ladder which I am relived about as I do not like climbing up that tall ladder.

I’m only 5’4″ and an at age 60, I am getting scared to get up onto a step ladder to put up and take down my holiday lights and other hanging decorations.
This item is really the perfect solution. It seems to be very durable and is easy to use. I just used it to take down our seasonal string of Edison lights on the patio.
Forget the handyman! This allows people who don’t want to get up onto a ladder to hang decorations more easily

WHERE HAS THIS THING BEEN!?! Ok, this exceeded my expectations. Even comes with hooks that you can screw in using this tool — then simply raise up the light string and I stay off the ladder and having to move it, every 2 feet, over and over. See, that got tired even typing it. lol. It has a telescoping handle that makes it easy to extend and put away for storage, too. I have only two suggestions to the manufacturer. I would add one more section – although it may not make it as sturdy as it is now, I could have used the extra foot at the corner of the house where the bank drops down…. AND, if they would include an end connector (similar to the one already included that you can mount the string lights) with a suction cup so you can screw in a regular light bulb using this extension, I could get rid of a handle that just does that. BUT, as it is, works great for holiday lighting!

I’m impressed with the build of this telescoping pole with utility hook and hanger.
No more using a broom or ladder for me.
Makes taking down and putting up bird feeders a breeze. Whether from a tree or 1st story eaves this is your little buddy. The lightweight square tubing is easy on the hands too.
It collapses down to a couple feet and can be stashed taking up very little space.
The mechanism for holding different size hooks and holding them steady while you turn the pole to screw in the hook (in wood) is well designed and is so nice to have.
Whether your hanging hooks for Xmas lights or taking them down this takes care of that task in a time saving way. Nice.
Great price point.

I’ve been searching for something to help me put lights on our two story house for a while now and am so excited to have come across this hanging pole!
It’s a fantastic product, and a great value for the money (currently on sale for $17.99)
It’s high quality, durable, efficient, and performs exactly as promised.
It’s easy to assemble and using it is fairly straightforward once you get the hang of it!
I’ve had no issues with it at all, would definitely buy it again if the need arises, and highly recommend it!

A little clunky to put together and store, but it does the job well enough. The clip on the end holds the light string well to hang up. The whole thing could be a little bit longer though, maybe add another section or two.

This extension pole was extremely easy to assemble and collapse for storage. The head allows one to insert a teacup hook for remote installation, which I really liked the ability to do! The hook for mounting light strands is big enough that the strand shouldn’t fall off of it during installation. The quality of construction is probably the best I’ve seen for an extension pole. I look forward to using this pole for many years to come!

As I age, I find ladders much less fun, and with my back not what it was in my 20’s (I’m 47 now, so I’ve got some separation I know) – my overall flexibility is kind of shot. Unfortunately, I’m still a big kid at heart and LOVE decorating for all holidays (and non-holidays really – I just love lights and projection – guess its that “still playing in a band at 47 – running cool light shows on the side” in me). Enter this telescoping pole – and its been a game changer. I’m now getting to the top of our Weeping Cherry Tree out front – and netting from the second story to run that Giant Spider / spider web combo just got infinitely easier. My son’s treehouse got an upgrade as well – because not only does this help with extending the light strands to POC, it also has a system to screw hooks into tough to reach places – yes, it take a little force to get them going, but I didn’t have any real issues out on the treehouse.
All in all – this is definitely a “specialty” item – and if you’re nimble or don’t do a lot of outdoor decorating, this might not be the lifesaver it was for me. But you probably wouldn’t be reading this review if you hadn’t considered “if I only had a few more feet to get that last branch” – so this is a 5 star for you (as it was for me!).
