I didn’t realize this when I ordered, but this product is actually two real skis with curved tips and (heelless) bindings hidden underneath the fabric. They’re bound together with the fabric so they can’t slide apart (the first training feature), and then there’s an inflatable U around the outside so it’s harder for the child to fall sideways (second training feature), and finally there’s an inflatable seat between the skis so it’s easier to get moving without forcing the child to keep their balance while standing up immediately (third training feature). A 4 year old in my group immediately figured it out and stood up without prompting on the third run. The only downsides are the weight capacity (the larger version is harder to find) and the cheap rope (which is easily replaced. Awesome!

Great quality and fantastic tube. My boys, 6 & 4, are both a little timid trying new and loved this tube. It really helped calm their nerves with skiing at a young age. By the end of the summer they quit asking to tube and only wanted to go skiing. Love how much it helped their confidence. My 10 year old niece tried it and she was able to ski no problem, but thought it was to slow and boring. My 2 1/2 year old niece also used it and had big smiles the hole time.
They all hit waves and didn’t fall down. We went about 10-15 mph with the older kids 5-7 mph with my 2 1/2 niece. No one feel off.

We bought this little ski trainer for our 4 and almost 3 year-old children. It was an instant hit as they love the idea of something that is just for them and cute! The trainer is well-built with nice valves and it’s own handles for towing and pulling. The material covering the bladders seems nice and thick so we’re expecting it to last well.
We loaded each kid on directly from the boat (as Lake Mead was a little cold at the time) and then pulled them by hand at approx 10mph. They liked it, but didn’t dare stand up the first time. They had a couple of goes each and then were indifferent.
The next time out, with the water a little warmer, they loved it. They were standing up and enjoying the feeling of ‘skiing!’ I’m sure they will grow to love the device. Whether it teaches them much about skiing I don’t know, but so far as a fun activity, its been great.

Great starter tool for the budding skier. It’s really easy to go above the recommended speed. The kids mastered this very quickly, and they absolutely love it. It does require them to lean back quite a bit to keep the nose up out of the water. If they don’t, it can nose dive and throw the rider. I’d recommend this anyone with kids to get them started on standing on skis.

Very easy and safe for young kids to use. It really teachers youngsters what it feels like to be towed by the boat….a great coaching tool. The Airhead AHEZ-100 EZ Ski is a well made, quality product!

Easy to pull. Safe for littles (4 and 6). Sturdy. Kids felt comfortable and stable at all times. Able to sit and stand at their leisure. Highly recommend for littles who are wanting to learn to water ski.

This item is a brilliant design! They could stand when they felt confident and sit when they were tired. Our young sons are both very tall and sturdy for their ages (6 & 8) and I had no problem holding the tow rope at the back of the boat.

My daughter loved using this tube on the lake, the ability to sit allowed her to be on it for over an hour straight.

Finally got my 4yo on skis, sorta. Overall we are very happy with this purchase. My daughter is very proud of the fact that she’s a big girl skiing like mom and dad. A few weeks ago we finally got her on a 2 person tube which got her over the fear of being towed behind the boat. The next week we finally talked her into riding her ski after my godson who is 6 took it out and loved it. My suggestion to those purchasing this for your child is to follow the same progression as us.
The best thing about the ez ski trainer is the seat. When my daughter gets a little off balance or hits some rough water she just sits down. This has given her a lot of confidence thus far. The next best thing is the dual handles so that if she falls the person holding the handle in the boat just let’s go so you never have to worry about them trying to hang on and getting dragged.
The only thing I was disappointed in is the lack of control the skier or rider has. The kids can make it go back and forth a bit but not much. This is due to two factors I think. First the ripe is attached to the ski so it’s very hard to point it any direction except at the back of the boat. Second it’s a tube so what can you expect. I think I may try removing the rope from its attachment point on the tube at some point to see if this will give them more steering ability and help them get used to the pull of the boat.

Our 4 year old loves to ride behind the boat on and then has learned to stand up which will one day translate to getting up on skis. Get for training form and learning how to get up while making it fun for little kids.

Both girls love this. One 5 year old and a 2 and a half year old love to ski on this. We pull them behind the pontoon and they can either stay up or sit on the bench. They can ride the waves or just sit and enjoy the ride. Best thing ever to initiate them to regular skis. Easy to pull and great fun all day.
Glad I bought the smaller model.

Great for teaching kids to water ski! Our 5 and 7 year old grandkids LOVE this ski trainer. Has two water skis enclosed in a unit they sit on – almost like a GT Snow Racer. Helps kids safely get the feel of standing, balancing and leaning back on skis – they can sit down when tired or nervous. Great purchase.
