Based on other reviews and input received from others, I decided to splurge on this eyeshadow. I’m so glad I did! It really is worth the price. It glides on smoothly and it doesn’t feel heavy at all. I’m 40 now and have some fine lines around the eyelid area. This shadow does not crease or cause lines to show more. I bought the baby pearl shade and it looks very natural and pretty with my fair skin. I would imagine it looks even more beautiful on darker skin tones. I prefer a subtle, natural look so this is perfect. If you want something that pops, I would advise using this as a base, and layering with another shadow. Five stars!

I really like this shadow! The color is great for my blue eyes, and it’s not too dark or too light.
It’s easy to apply and stays all day.
Would definitely recommend!

Best eyeshadow sticks I ever used. I have tried different brands and expensive brands as well. I found these to be the best of the best for me. The colors are gorgeous they glide perfectly and easily on eyes and are not sticky. They las all day as well and are very pigmented. I have all those colors and love them all. Even though they are a bit pricey they have a good amount of product in them.

I purchased the color Guava, which looks online to be a pinkish mauve – which is what I wanted. The actual color is more like copper. The texture is really nice, and it goes on smoothly, and color payoff is good. It doesn’t seem to last super long, but it’s compact and easy to tote around and re-apply. Seems about the same overall as the Julep one I purchased recently which was much less expensive.

I have tried this and the Ulta eyeshadow stick in In A Nutshell, so I will compare the two. The Alleyoop one seems like it has very little product, since I used it up quickly, but it’s double the price. It is slightly darker and more shimmery and pigmented. The Ulta one is paler with more of a pearly, less intense finish. The Alleyoop one is easier to blend — the Ulta one is kind of “stuck” where you put it. If you’re used to very intense pigmented eyeshadows, you will probably be unimpressed with the pigmentation of both sticks. However, they both have less harmful ingredients than you’d find in most eyeshadows. Overall, I like the Ulta one better since I have small lids and need a lighter eyeshadow, plus it’s cheaper and does not crease as easily.
