This is an immensely frustrating cage. I had two guinea pigs in a big 6′ x 2.5′ coroplast cage. One pig passed away, and I got a remote job so it was time to downsize. This cage is a GREAT price for its size, but that’s the best thing I can say about it.
If you haven’t had a cage with a canvas base, please know it’s much more of a pain to clean and KEEP clean than a plastic base. It can be done with this, but you have to take the entire cage apart to do it justice, otherwise you’re going to get old, soiled bedding caught between the cage and the canvas. The rod system they use to fix the cage to the canvas is… kinda clever I guess? Be careful with it though, because the loops that the rods go through are prone to tear off. I’ve only had one break, but it was literally the first time I put the cage together.
I got the version with the divider and roof. The divider is totally unnecessary for me, but I can see it being useful for introducing two pigs to each other. I keep the door to it open all the time, so really no bother for me. The triangular platform is okay. The height it sits at is a little odd, though. It’s too low for an adult pig to get under. I put my pig’s pellet dish on top of it and she’ll hop right up and munch away. It’s a good little exercise to make sure my 8 year old piggy is still nimble! I’d recommend a water bottle hanger you can adjust the height of. The typical Petco ones with the single loop would sit way low or way high.
It’s a great size – for the price. Plenty of features, even if they are a little half baked and poorly implemented. If I still had two guinea pigs, I’d go with the 2×3 (at least) C&C cage over this every time. I just don’t feel like two pigs would be happy in this thing, but my little senior pig gives it like 8 wheeks out of 10. But she’s more generous than I am.

Was not that sturdy of a cage and we find the bars a little wide for the pets we have otherwise is a decent enough unit. Pets are 2 domestic rats.

Kidsโ guinea pig got pregnant and we had to split up the boys and girls. This cage works perfect for that. The top opens easily for access, no need to use the small doors. The assembly is frustrating the first time due to no real instructions, but after taking it all apart the other day to clean it, assembly went quick. 4โx2โ takes up a good amount of space but they seem happy in it.

By far my favorite cage and Ive tried many other brands. The size dimensions is perfect for guineas wellness for sizing while also good for those that must accommodate it inside the home with other home decor. Easy to clean since it’s rectangle shaped and one flat level. I do recommend the $1 store or hardware store, plastic tab loop fasteners for securing when in use. Otherwise the cage can be flimsy since it is collapsible for storage later. I did purchase with cage the top to be sure no escaped guineas. The liner mat when putting together goes outside and the black wire cage sits inside the plastic cover. The mat tabs secure around the metal frame.

This cage fits my 2 female guinea pigs perfectly. It is extremely easy to fold up if you travel a lot. The roof doesnโt stay on perfectly but I only use it if my dogs are in my room!

We recently got our first guinea pig. After researching online c and c cages seemed to be the best for them but they are pricey if your also needing one with a top so we settled for this one. I went to a local hardware store and had them cut a piece of plywood to place on top of the cube storage so the cage could be lifted off of the ground. It works great but does slide easily so if you have handsie kids I wouldn’t suggest doing this lol. The downsides to this cage is that the directions are awful, but fortunately I was able to figure out the assembly. We’re not using the divider and because of that the middle of the cage bows in a little bit. The cage also isn’t that stable so I added zip ties to all of the connecting pieces to help stabilize it more. I also used someone else’s idea from the reviews and zip tied the middle of the lid together and also zip tied one side of the lid to the cage so I can just lift it up and it sits on the wall while I’m cleaning. All in all it’s a good cage for the price with a few modifications ๐

I absolutely LOVE this cage. It is SO easy to set up & clean. I usually did C&C cages for my guinea pigs but I got this one because of the top since my cat liked to jump into the cage. It keeps my cat out AND sustains her weight so this cage is strong! The lid is easy to close and open. The cage stays together pretty well if you want to move it without taking it apart. The cage also collapses easily for clean up or moving. Clean up has also never been easier! Literally everything about this cage is an absolute hit! I 100% recommend it, especially considering the price.

Boy was it too hard to set it up,
yes for sure
Good one though, but if u r expecting less cleaning work get a cage with a tray
You gotta clean the sheet each 2 days even after it using wood shavings and wood tray kinda

Really good, I am using for my hedgehog and I can say that he has quite a good space for walk.

**WITHOUT THE DIVIDER IN THE CAGE IS BOTH UNSTABLE AND UNSAFE**
So if you don’t plan to use the divider or DIY this mess into something more useable then I would just go with another similar type cage. The door to the divider doesn’t like to stay open either so plan on having food and water and hay on both sides if this is for one animal or a pair that live together.
This was a horrible purchase and I wish I could return it. I have both the midwest verison and the petsmart verison of this style cage and figured why not grab another as I have both guinea pigs and quail that thrive in this type of setup. Very disappointed about how difficult it was to put together compared to the other two. The little shelter/corner hide they give you is not going to stay in place so it will be knocked over almost every time you check in on them. The lid is not something you should rely on to contain your pets. This cage failed for my piggies because of the divider problem and the instability made me nervous. The quail like it a bit better but also managed to escape by pushing through the side door and jumping up at the lid until one squeezed out. There will be more bedding and hay flung outside the cage than the amount that manages to stay in with how low the canvas bottom sits. Also the bottom offers zero reinforcement so you cannot lift this off the ground with anything inside it besides bedding or you are counting on tiny strips of velcro to stop your pet from falling down and getting hurt. Overall I would not suggest buying this.
