Altamente recomendados.

Absolutely excellent headphones. Not overly embellished bass, which I insist on. I’ve drenched myself into stereo equipment over the last 40 years. I’m demanding of detail. These headphones are evenly balanced. A lot of professionals use them in the studio. Biggest negative for me is that they contort (fold) so that they can be put in a small carrying case
Sometimes this can be a pain. Comfort level is good enough to make it through a movie of 2-3 hrs. They don’t breath especially well. Sturdy enough. Padded head band.
Now the important part. And I highly advise you listen to me. I now own the 50’s. I’ve owned the 40’s as well. The 50’s are supposed to produce a slightly better bass. And again…I loathe an unreal bass line. The bass on these and the 40’s is quite good enough. The music of today is earth shaking with bass. Sounds untrue…because it is and unreal. I want a quick snappy bass line. Jazz requires it. Vocals are not drowned out, classical?? Yeah..right. BUT LISTEN. KIDS WONT LIKE THESE. YOUNG ADULTS WONT LIKE THESE !!!. These are for a mature audience who seeks purity. Kids are looking for that car in the street that shakes the block up. Phone poles falling, sidewalk crumbling sound. I run from that. YOU MUST MARRY into the best possible listening experience , a portable amplifier. Not much bigger than a credit card. It notches up the volume, mids, highs, and yes..bass. I use only one made by Fiio. Superb. Without the use of an Amp, your really missing out, with any headphone. I attempted to take a pic, but Amazon doesn’t make that an easy experience. The magnets in these headphones are heavier than most. Make for a tighter sound. A quicker reflex on the bottom end. The Soundstage (separation) is quite good. When coupled with the amplifier, your Netflix and any other movie will provide you with sounds you would normally never have heard. A bird tweeting in background, sirens in the city etc. Personally, if money is an issue. I’d recommend the 40’s and the Fiio. I don’t really gain that much more from the 50’s. BTW..The Fiio amplifier is relatively affordable. The sound provided through my headphones with the tiny amplifier is twice as good as my very good sound bar. When testing a pair of headphones I always recommend listening to Buddy Rich and his “the impossible drum solo”. A great test for bottom end. Rod Stewart’s Sweet little rockin roller off the Smiler album for rock. Billy Eilish or Sam Smith for vocals doing a James Bond theme. Moonlight sonata from Ludvig for classical. Hope I’ve helped you. And p.s. Weather the 40’s or the 50’s..stick with the ATH-M40x. Or the ATH-M50x.

I’ve had these headphones for a few weeks now and I can honestly say that I’m thoroughly impressed with them. I am by no means a audiophile but I know a good pair of headphones when I see them. Originally I had very low expectation for these as I was a basshead and coming from a pair of Sony MDR-XB950BT’s (which are incredible if you are looking for some SERIOUS bass) however I wanted a pair of headphones for clarity.
Upon unboxing the headphones for the first time I was pleasantly greeted by the orginal box which was a bonus for me. Being referbished I was expecting a pair of “used” looking headphones but mine looked brand new without a single sign of wear. My initial impressions of the headphones where that they looked amazing and felt incredibly durable and premium despite their mostly plastic build.
After plugging them in for the first time I instantly fell in love. If I had to describe the way these sounded in one word it would be “crisp” or “clean”. These headphones brought out instruments in songs that I’ve never heard before. Not only that but I could hear absolutely every detail in the music I was listening to. For once my music wasn’t overpowered by bass and I actually liked it. After letting a few friends borrow these headphones they all came back to me with the same thoughts.
Overall I am incredibly happy with my purchase and genuinely impressed. I’d highly recommend these headphones to anyone as they are amazing and will get the job done. Ive listened to many genres with these and they preform well in just about all of them. I’ve heard some say these have little to no bass while audiophiles claim there is to much but personally I feel it is just right. I find myself choosing these over my Sony’s the majority of they time as they have become my favorite go to headphones.
