I have been waiting for a good deal on a Wifi Mesh 6e system, and after my latest search, I found the value I have been waiting for. The installation was easy, the mobile app works great, and the performance is fantastic. TP-Link did a great job of focusing on the user experience. Minimal user input is needed to set up the router and satellites. The system detected and installed a firmware update. There is a day and night difference compared to the Netgear Orbi Mesh I replaced. Video streaming is stutter-free at 4k, as is gameplay on multiple PCs.

Had the routers for a while now. They work great. They spread across my property about an acre and I get great reception on all of them

One thing to help troubleshooting at the end of this. The setup with these went really smoothly. I like the app. What I like the most is how simple they are. All three units are identical. So whichever one you plug in first because the primary router and the other ones become the satellites. So this means that you could keep on expanding if you wanted since you just need to keep adding satellites. Since these were renewed I knew there was a chance that I would run into an issue. So one of my satellites didn’t work. I didn’t want to send everything back to Amazon since I had already set it all up and everything else was working. So I just contacted the seller directly, spoke to a real person in Brooklyn. She sent me an RMA label for the faulty satellite, and about a week later I received a replacement satellite which worked perfectly. Also, in the meantime, all of our devices just connected to the next-closest unit, which still gave us good connections for what we needed. But now that all three are in the system again I do feel that we have better throughput wherever we go.

One note you may like to know is that even if you set up your new network with the same name and password as the old one, not all of your devices will connect to it automatically. If this happened, all I had to do was turn wi-fi off and on on the device, and then it reconnected and was good. I’m sure if you understand networking this will make sense to you. But an easy fix for anyone.

The system is awsome. Had a major lag problem getting wi-fi to my upstairs tvs. I purchased a refurbished unit and got a great deal. Setup was somewhat iffy because info from previous owner was still in the units and I didn’t really know how to delete it. Contacted TP Link and tech walked me through it step by step. I have a 500 mbps plan from Spectrum. Speed test indicates I’m substantially exceeding that. Although I just got it today, I’m impressed. As it works out, I should have taken this leap a long time ago. My security cameras have to be individually manually reset, however I anticipate improved performance once this is done. I was somewhat reluctant to make this purchase but I’m glad I did. And by the way I can return the Spectrum router and save a few bucks. Go for it. This is technology for the future.

I bought the TP-Link Deco AXE5300 Amazon renewed to upgrade my home network from the Deco M5s. I was impressed by the overall performance of these devices, as they delivered fast and reliable Wi-Fi throughout my house. I also liked that I could use my Deco M5s as additional satellite units, extending the coverage even further. I set up the AXE 5300s as wireless backhaul, which was easy and convenient.

However, I was not satisfied with the Amazon renewed process, which seemed to be lacking in quality and consistency. The first order I received was missing the power supplies, and the inner package was opened and unsealed. The outer package was sealed, but it looked like someone had tampered with the contents. It did not seem like these devices were tested or refurbished at all.

I contacted Amazon and requested a replacement, but the second order was not much better. The devices had significant signs of wear and tear, such as scratches and dents. They were also very poorly packaged, with no protection or padding. I wondered if they had been damaged during transit.

Out of the two orders, I managed to put together one order that was functional, but I was not happy with the hassle and the waste. I feel like I got a reasonable deal for the price, but I expected more from Amazon renewed. I hope they improve their standards and procedures in the future.

On a positive note, I want to commend the chat representative that I spoke to, who was from India. He was extremely helpful and courteous, and resolved my issue promptly. Customer service was top notch from Amazon, and I appreciate their support.

The AXE 5300s are much taller than the M5s, but this did not cause a problem for me as I had enough space to place them. They also did not run as hot as the M5s, which was a plus. According to the [specifications](^1^), the AXE 5300s have a new 6 GHz band for the latest 6E devices and parental controls, and they can reach incredible speeds up to 5.3 Gbps with Wi-Fi 6E. They also have three Wi-Fi bands with backhaul to support up to 200 devices.

I received version 1.6 of the AXE 5300s, which is one of the three versions available. The only difference I could find between this version and the others is that it has slightly less power usage, which is not a big deal for me. The version number is printed on the bottom of the device, along with the serial number and the MAC address.

Overall, I do appreciate the performance increase of the TP-Link Deco AXE5300, but I would not recommend buying them from Amazon renewed unless you are willing to take a risk and deal with potential issues.

I am using this in a $2,800 ft² home with no issues so far. The app experience is pretty good too. I do appreciate the separate IoT configuration for 2.4 GHz devices.

First time I am using a mesh system and for how wide the house is the coverage is great. The only issue I have is like others that have mentioned if you are walking around the house and you’re switching from one hub to another then there is a little lag. This is problematic if I’m actively playing pokemon go and battling someone, but how often is that. For most things that you’re going to be doing around the house you’re going to be stationary anyway so it’s not really a big deal. FOr the price you really can’t beat it especially for a mesh wifi 6e system. Also the software and UI are very easy to set up and troubleshoot. Bought a second mesh system for my sister too! Now I can troubleshoot her wifi from hundreds of miles away too.
