Meu computador anterior tinha 7 anos de uso/lançamento e fiz muito surpreso com o que o 7800x3D pode fazer com os usos que dou para o PC, principalmente com jogos. Pro meu setup, encaixou como uma luva (mais de 60fps em todos que testei até o momento) e não vejo motivo pra alterar qualquer coisa no PC (talvez a GPU, mas a CPU já deu um enorme passo pra melhorar o desempenho do que eu já tinha). Ainda preciso dar um jeito nas temperaturas (comprei um cooler de marca excelente que resolve o problema, mas ainda quero aumentar a diferença entre a temperatura de uso atual e o limite do processador, pois moro em uma cidade de temperaturas altas o ano todo). Recomendo fortemente, sem erro nem medo.

Nothing much to say that hasn’t been said before but this chip is easy to cool, easy to run, and performs better than basically everything on the market. The only drawback is that it is bested by the 7700x in productivity which is cheaper, but it’s still no slouch and the gaming performance is worth it unless you need those extra boost speeds.

Temperature
Ho scelto di abbinare il Ryzen 7 7800X3D a un sistema di raffreddamento a liquido (AIO) e devo dire che sono rimasto molto soddisfatto della scelta. Anche durante le sessioni di gioco più intense, la temperatura del processore non supera i 45 gradi, ovviamente le temperature sono variabili in relazione al vostro setup.
Infine, questo processore è senza dubbio la scelta imperativa per qualsiasi appassionato di gaming che cerca prestazioni elevate, efficienza energetica ma anche un buon processore per svolgere qualsiasi tipo di attività . Se stai cercando un processore che garantisca un’esperienza di gioco senza compromessi, non cercare oltre, è questo ciò di cui hai bisogno.

This is pretty much a 65-watt CPU, despite what the TDP says so it’s easy to cool on air. Gaming performance is stellar and leaves nothing on the table when paired with an appropriately powerful GPU.

I used to be among those who thought X3D chips might be a bit overhyped but consider me humbled. I bought this 7800X3D chip to replace my 7700X that I was going to put into my wifes rig.
I did not expect much as I was buying a chip within the same generation and one step up but this was on big sale so I picked up to give it a shot. Well worth it.
Seriously this chip is a powerhouse, if you are a gamer this is THE ONLY chip you should buy. It has great thermal performance, gaming performance is great when paired with my 7900XT. I went from 120-140 fps in games like Hunt Showdown which are CPU heavy to a constant 170+
I never expected such a bump in performance especially considering it runs at around 5ghz versus the 5650mhz my 7700x could reach. I’m sure the lower clocks may have an effect on some production benchmarks that push all cores but as I said if you primarily game, consider no other chip.

Decided to move from an i5-13600K over to a 7800X3D since I mostly use my PC for gaming and not productivity work. This CPU is a beast for performance and runs rather cool for what you get out of it, and its power efficient as well! Highly recommend this CPU if all you care about is gaming performance and it fits within your budget! If you need something a little more affordable, you can’t go wrong with the 5800X3D.

I paired the 7800X3D with a RTX 4070 TI Super and I can safely say that the processor is doing its job exceptionally well. I’m able to fly over mega cities in Microsoft Flight Simulator maintaining over 60 fps with Ultra settings in 1440p (without Frame Generation) . Originally, I had been using the Ryzen 7600x with the same GPU, but the results were not as good with the FPS dropping into the 50s over large cities. The processor usually hovers in the 60-70 degree Celsius range with my THERMALRIGHT PA 120 SE cooler while gaming, so no worries there. Installation of the CPU was easy and problem free with my B650 Aorus Elite Ax Ice motherboard with the latest firmware. If you want a great gaming CPU and this is in your budget, don’t hesitate to get this (especially if you play Microsoft Flight Simulator).

Can easily run with just an air cooler. Incredible thermals at incredible rates. Efficiency though the roof. I really can’t say enough positives about this CPU. It blasts all current games and isn’t a slouch in other tasks like video editing. But to be precise, this is a gaming CPU. If you want to run current era games, at a good price, this is for you. Add in the added cost of not needing an AIO at all, and you just can’t beat it. I used a Peerless Assassin cooler and it rarely even gets over 70 even under stress. Monster chip.

Bought this CPU for my setup when it first came out and have not looked back ever since.. I’m very happy that I went with the 7800X3D instead of one of the hungry Intel chips.. 7800X3D stays extremely efficient during all workloads.. average of around 70watts during gaming and 100 to 120 watts peak workload (CPU only).
This is literally right now the perfect gaming CPU. If you’re not some crazy extreme overclocker..
I’m a PC engineer and have built many custom computers using this processor including 4090 based computers and never seen any bottlenecks or problems. The only thing to keep in mind with this platform is that first boot can take quite a bit of time so you really do have to give this platform a minute to boot no matter what.. kind of reminds me of a server and how it starts up lol 😂
Also make sure to get the latest BIOS for your motherboard… that can fix many issues we’ve had computers come in for repairs for on the AM5 platform.. this also definitely holds true for AM4 😉
For best performance get DDR5 6000Mhz CL30 RAM. Multiple benchmark show that’s the sweet spot.. Anything faster or slower is shown to negatively affect performance for the 7800X3D.
Also 2 sticks of ram is better than 4 for the 7800X3D since it only has one CPU die or CCD
Yes Intel May hold the performance crown for most things but that comes at a cost of very high electrical use…. the 14900K is a joke requiring on average 200w gaming.. and if you do any workload get ready for up to 600 watts load.. and this is just for the CPU… this does not include the rest of your system…
In the end if you want to build a high-end system with a total system power draw on average 600 to 1200 watts peak then go for an Intel base system… but if you want to stay more reasonable without much sacrifice averaging around 300 to 800 watts peak then stick with the AMD 7800X3D.
Last thing is that the AM5 platform also has many years of upgrades ahead of it as we’ve seen with the AM4 platform being supported for a long time… This will provide you many upgrade paths in the future.
