This processor rocks, and it also saves a lot of energy, with 3 GHZ you can do a lot of things for about ~50-celsius degrees it is enough for my tasks and gaming, it consumes about 20 to 25 Watts of course you can use 5 GHZ if you want even OC, but I was looking for something more eco-friendly and I found this in this processor.

Impressive chip, but expensive. Very fast all around and just sips power. It gets a lot of hate, but I personally love the efficiency gains with this gen. 7700x was hot and hungry. This out performs it and is very easy to keep cool. Perfect for SFF PC’s!

I paired this with a 7900 GRE and wow, this draws so much less power than expected compared to my old i7 10700

Despite the poor Reviews on You Tube actually really good CPU if your building a form Factor PC where you have limited cooling and space. I did a build with Fractural designs Ridge case. My thermals are running 60 to 70 degrees Celsius on a full load gaming. That’s good for using a air cooled form factor build. While performance might be not much better then a 7000 series if your looking to build a form factor PC that has little space for water cooling this is the chip to buy.

This zen5 chip is overpriced as it has exactly the same performance as the older zen4 7700x

    Doesn’t make it a bad chip, it’s still a great chip just a bad price at $360 vs $280 for a 7700x

AMD please fix this, thanks in advance !!
    Fix the price please !!

I had first bought 7700x for my new AMD build, but it constantly caused BSOD. Lowering the voltage and disabling DOCP from bios decreased the crashes, but did not completely get rid of it, I was still getting crashes here and there. I ordered another 7700x from amazon, to find out whether the first 7700x was faulty or not, the problem kept persisting with the new 7700x as well.

I knew other components like the motherboard, RAM, or GPU were NOT faulty because I had replaced them too during troubleshooting, which left the CPU as the only culprit. Last week I decided to pull the trigger and bought 9700x. Fortunately, all my crashes went away. My new build now works flawlessly.

In Bios, DOCP is enabled, and all other settings are set to default, including voltage. It’s been a day, and I haven’t encountered any random crashes. I’m attributing my challenges to a bad memory controller on the 7700x. I recommend everyone get 9700x instead of 7700x to avoid random crashes.

The AMD Ryzenโ„ข 7 9700X is an impressive processor that offers a great balance of power and efficiency. โš™๏ธ With 8 cores and 16 threads, itโ€™s perfect for multitasking and handling demanding workloads. ๐Ÿ’ช The improved power consumption and lower temperatures compared to previous models make it an excellent choice for those who want top-tier performance without sacrificing efficiency. ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

If youโ€™re upgrading from an older generation, especially from an AM4 socket, the difference will be noticeable. ๐ŸŽฏ Whether youโ€™re gaming ๐ŸŽฎ, streaming, or working on intensive tasks, this processor wonโ€™t disappoint. Pair it with a high-end graphics card like the RX 7900 XT or the RTX 4070 Super Ti, and youโ€™ll have a powerful, future-proof setup. ๐Ÿ’ป What are your thoughts? ๐Ÿค”
