The Anker Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger 5000mAh snaps onto your iPhone, charges at up to 7.5W and folds out into a hands-free kickstand.
Long description
The Anker Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger 5000mAh, sold by Anker as the 622 Magnetic Battery (MagGo), is a slim battery pack for MagSafe-compatible iPhones. It attaches magnetically, so no cable runs between your phone and the battery. A built-in foldable kickstand props the phone up while it charges, which suits video calls, navigation and streaming.
Charging performance of the Anker Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger 5000mAh
Wireless output is up to 7.5W. The side-mounted USB-C port recharges the pack (5V/2.4A) or charges a device by cable (5V/2.4A, 12W maximum total output). Anker specifies a magnetic hold of 9 to 12N, in line with MagSafe requirements, and adds temperature control and overload protection. Cases thicker than 2.5mm and non-magnetic cases can reduce charging efficiency.
Size and design of the foldable magnetic charger
The body measures about 105 × 66.5 × 12.7 mm and weighs around 142 g (5 oz), so it slips into a pocket or bag. It comes in five colors: Dolomite White, Interstellar Gray, Buds Green, Lilac Purple and Misty Blue.
Who should buy the Anker 622 Magnetic Battery 5,000mAh
This foldable wireless charger suits commuters, travelers and anyone who wants a light backup battery that stays attached to the phone. It works with iPhone 12 and later, not Android. If you need faster Qi2 charging (15W) or more capacity, compare it with Anker’s 10,000mAh MagGo models on Discompare.

Catalog Notes
- Naming: Anker’s official name is “622 Magnetic Battery (MagGo)”. Retailers use variants such as “Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger”, “Magnetic Power Bank, 5,000mAh Foldable Wireless Portable Charger” and “MagGo Battery”. Use model A1614 as the matching key so listings merge.
- Do not merge with other Anker 5,000mAh magnetic models: A1618 (MagGo Power Bank 5,000mAh, 7.5W, Stand; already in the catalog), A1616 (321 / PowerCore Magnetic 5K), A1610 (621), A1641 (633), or the Qi2 slim 5K (A1665).

FAQ: Anker Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger 5000mAh (Anker 622 Magnetic Battery, MagGo)
Model: A1614. Draft for the FAQPage schema block. Prices are intentionally excluded; use live merchant feed prices. Answers marked “verify” must be confirmed before publishing. Estimates are labeled as estimates.
Q1. What is the Anker Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger 5000mAh?
It is a slim 5,000mAh magnetic power bank for MagSafe-compatible iPhones. It snaps onto the back of the phone, charges it wirelessly at up to 7.5W and has a built-in foldable kickstand. Anker’s formal name is “622 Magnetic Battery (MagGo)” and the model number is A1614.
Q2. Why does this product have so many different names?
Retailers describe the same A1614 hardware as “Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger”, “Magnetic Power Bank, 5,000mAh Foldable Wireless Portable Charger”, “622 Magnetic Battery” and “MagGo Battery”. Use the model number A1614 to confirm you are comparing the same product.
Q3. Who is it for?
It suits iPhone owners who want a light backup battery that stays attached to the phone: commuters, travelers, students and anyone who often ends the day at low battery. If you want faster 15W Qi2 charging or more capacity, compare Anker’s 10,000mAh MagGo models instead.
Q4. What is in the box?
Anker’s service page lists a USB-C to USB-C cable. A USB-A to USB-C cable is not included, and no wall charger is included. Verify the full box contents for the current retail version before publishing.
Q5. What colors does it come in?
Anker US lists Dolomite White, Interstellar Gray, Buds Green, Lilac Purple and Misty Blue. Retailers may carry only some of them.
Q6. How big and heavy is it?
It measures about 4.13 × 2.62 × 0.50 in (about 105 × 66.5 × 12.7 mm) and weighs about 5 oz (about 142 g). That is roughly the size of a phone’s back panel, and thin enough to carry in a pocket.
Compatibility
Q7. Which iPhones work with it?
Anker US states compatibility with iPhone 12 and later. Anker’s older guide lists the iPhone 12 and 13 series (Pro and Pro Max included) and advises against using it with the mini models because of the magnet position. Verify the current list for iPhone 16 and 17 series before publishing.
Q8. Does it work with Android phones?
No. Anker states it is not compatible with Android phones. The magnetic attachment and wireless output are designed for iPhones with MagSafe. You can still charge an Android phone through the USB-C port with a cable.
Q9. Does it work with the iPhone 12 mini and 13 mini?
Anker’s guide does not recommend using it with the iPhone 12 mini or 13 mini. The smaller back panel can make the pack sit off-center and charge poorly.
Q10. Do I need a MagSafe case?
No, it works with or without a magnetic case. However, Anker says cases thicker than 2.5mm and non-magnetic cases can reduce charging efficiency or weaken the magnetic hold. A MagSafe case gives the best fit.
Q11. Will it work through a wallet or card holder attached to the phone?
It cannot attach in the same spot as a MagSafe wallet. Remove the wallet before attaching the pack. Metal objects between the phone and battery can block charging and cause heat.
Q12. Is it MagSafe-certified or Qi2-certified?
Anker describes the magnetic strength (9 to 12N) as meeting the criteria of MagSafe, but it is not stated to be Qi2-certified. Treat Qi2 status as unconfirmed and verify before publishing.
Charging Speed and Capacity
Q13. How fast does the Anker Magnetic Wireless Foldable Charger 5000mAh charge an iPhone?
Wireless output is up to 7.5W. That is slower than a wall charger or a 15W Qi2 power bank, and slower than Apple’s MagSafe charger. It is best treated as a top-up tool. Actual speed depends on the iPhone model, battery level, case and temperature.
Q14. How many times can it charge my iPhone?
Anker’s guide gives a range of about 0.8 to 0.95 full charges per full cycle depending on the iPhone model. That is less than one full charge, because a 5,000mAh pack (about 18.5Wh at 3.7V) loses energy in voltage conversion and wireless transfer. Expect a partial-to-nearly-full top-up.
Q15. Is 5,000mAh enough?
For a single evening or a day of heavy use, yes. It is not enough for two full charges of a current iPhone. If you regularly need more than one charge, choose a 10,000mAh model.
Q16. Why is 5,000mAh not a full iPhone charge?
The rated capacity is measured at the battery cell’s internal voltage. Converting to the phone’s charging voltage and sending power wirelessly wastes some energy as heat, so usable capacity is usually about 60% to 70% of the rated figure.
Q17. Can it charge while I use the phone?
Yes, the phone can be used while the pack is attached and charging. Heavy use such as gaming or video streaming draws more power, so the pack may add charge more slowly, or barely at all.
Q18. Why does it get warm?
Wireless charging generates some heat, especially at higher loads or with a thick case. Anker includes temperature control as part of its MultiProtect system. Remove thick cases, keep it out of direct sun and avoid covering the phone while charging.
USB-C Port and Recharging
Q19. What does the USB-C port do?
It is a two-way port on the side of the pack. It recharges the battery (5V/2.4A input) and it can charge a device by cable (5V/2.4A output, 12W maximum total output).
Q20. How do I recharge the power bank?
Connect the USB-C cable to a USB-C wall adapter or a computer. Anker recommends a wall charger of at least 12W. Check the LED indicators for charge level.
Q21. How long does it take to recharge?
Anker’s pages checked do not give a recharge time. As a rough estimate, a 5,000mAh (about 18.5Wh) pack at up to 12W input needs roughly 2 to 3 hours, depending on the charger. Verify with Anker’s user guide before publishing a figure.
Q22. Can I charge the phone by cable and wirelessly at the same time?
Total output is capped at 12W. Anker’s pages do not describe using the wireless pad and the USB-C output together, so verify before advertising simultaneous charging.
Q23. Does it support pass-through charging?
Anker’s pages checked do not state whether the pack can charge a phone while it is itself charging. Verify with the user guide before publishing.
Q24. Can I charge AirPods, a smartwatch or an Android phone through the USB-C port?
Yes, with a cable. Anything that charges from a 5V USB-C source works, though the 12W maximum means slower speeds than a fast charger.
Q25. Does it work with a USB-A to USB-C cable?
The pack has one USB-C port, so any cable ending in USB-C will connect. Anker notes a USB-A to USB-C cable is not included in the box.
Kickstand and Design
Q26. How does the foldable kickstand work?
A hinged stand folds out from the back of the pack, so the phone can stand on a desk or table while it charges. It is designed for hands-free viewing, video calls and streaming. Verify whether it supports landscape only or both orientations before publishing.
Q27. Does the stand hold the phone steadily?
It works well on flat, stable surfaces. Thick cases and heavy phones can make the setup less stable, so test it on your desk before relying on it for long video calls.
Q28. How strong is the magnet?
Anker specifies a magnetic hold of 9 to 12N, in line with MagSafe requirements. It holds firmly during normal carrying and use, but it is not designed to hold the phone during vigorous movement such as running.
Q29. Can I use it in a pocket or bag while charging?
Yes. Because it attaches to the phone, you can put the phone and battery in a pocket together. Keep the pack aligned and avoid tight bags that bend or squeeze it.
Safety and Travel
Q30. Is it safe to use?
Anker lists MultiProtect safety technology, including temperature control and overload protection. As with any lithium battery, do not use a damaged pack, keep it away from water and stop using it if it swells, smells or overheats.
Q31. Can I bring it on a plane?
Power banks must go in carry-on luggage, not checked bags. At about 18.5Wh, it is far below the common 100Wh airline limit. Airlines have additional rules such as limits on the number of power banks or on using them in flight, so check your airline’s policy.
Q32. Is it water resistant?
Anker’s pages checked do not state an IP rating. Treat it as not waterproof.
Q33. What temperature range can it operate in?
The pages reviewed do not list an operating temperature range. Lithium batteries generally charge best between about 0 and 40°C (32 to 104°F). Check the user guide for Anker’s exact range.
Q34. Can it interfere with cards, credit cards or medical devices?
Magnets can affect some items. Keep magnetic stripe cards away from the pack, and people with pacemakers or implanted devices should follow their doctor’s guidance about magnets and wireless chargers.
Warranty and Care
Q35. What is the warranty?
Anker refers to its warranty policy, but the term was not stated on the pages reviewed. Verify the length with Anker and your seller. Third-party retailers may offer their own terms.
Q36. How do I look after the battery?
Store it around 50% charge if you will not use it for months, avoid leaving it in a hot car and recharge it every few months. Keep the magnetic surface and USB-C port clean and dry.
Q37. How many charge cycles will it last?
Anker does not publish a cycle rating on the pages reviewed. Lithium-ion power banks typically keep good capacity for hundreds of cycles, but confirm with Anker’s spec sheet before promising a figure.
Buying and Comparing
Q38. How is it different from the Anker MagGo Power Bank 5,000mAh with stand (A1618)?
They are similar in size and capacity, but they are different products with different model numbers. The A1614 (this product) has a side USB-C port and a foldable kickstand, with 12W USB-C output. The A1618 has a stand and 5V/3A and 9V/2.22A USB-C output. Match on the model number when comparing prices.
Q39. How is it different from the Anker 321 MagGo Battery (A1616) and the 621 (A1610)?
Those are other 5,000mAh Anker magnetic batteries with different designs and features. The 621 and 622 families differ in port position and stand design. Use the model number to avoid comparing the wrong product.
Q40. Should I buy this or a Qi2 power bank?
Choose this if you want a slim, low-cost magnetic battery with a kickstand and are happy with 7.5W speeds. Choose a Qi2 model (such as the Anker Nano 5K, A1665, or a 10,000mAh MagGo) if you want 15W wireless charging or a bigger battery.
Q41. Is it good value?
That depends on the current price. Anker US showed a markdown of $22.00 from list at the time of research. Use Discompare’s live price comparison and price history to see whether a deal is real.
Q42. Where can I compare prices?
Discompare lists live prices from verified merchants for A1614, so you can see the current lowest price and price history. Use quoted list prices only as a rough guide.
Q43. Is it still available, and are there newer versions?
Check current merchant availability on Discompare. Anker has released newer Qi2 and slim models, and some retailers list an “Upgraded Version” of the 622 with a side USB-C port. Match listings by model number A1614.

Angenehme Textur, gute Größe, gute Passform. Starker Magnet.

I’ll be going on a trip soon and wanted to give wireless charging a try. First impressions of the housing, it has a nice soft and silky feel to it. It doesn’t seem to keep or show fingerprints/oil like other similar feeling material. It also doesn’t seem to be a dust magnet like the rubber material on my Anker PowerCore II Slim. Overall it feels solid with soft edges that won’t dig into your hands.
Moving on to the main reason why I bought this, wireless charging. I mean, off the bat, it works as described. Pop it on the phone and it starts charging. It does get a little warm but not uncomfortable to hold in my opinion. There are countless videos talking about specs and charging time so I won’t delve further into that.
The second reason why I bought this was because I was interested in the stand feature. More importantly, using it as a stand without charging. There’s one review on here that says if you press the button for 3 seconds, until the leds turn off, then put it on your phone, it’l stay off and you can use it purely as a stand. I tried counting in my head for 3 seconds, using a timer for 3 seconds, pressing the button until the leds turned off (more like 5 seconds), and I didn’t get a reliable result. I think it stayed off twice but for the most part it would auto charge. There’s also a response to a question on the product saying they called Anker support and Anker’s response was that only the 633 could be turned off, not the 622. So this is kind of a bummer but the 633 or the Apple battery pack don’t have built in stands but are double the price, which is why I just went with and will keep using the 622.

But it has some, what I imagine, firmware issues. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks and even then occasionally, so I can’t speak for it’s longevity and quality long term, but I’ve noticed strange behavior, not frequently, but not super infrequently either. There’ve been a couple of times when I connected it via the magnet (not cord), my phone said “connected, not charging”. Other times, when I connect my phone to it, it wouldn’t start charging until I press the button on the bottom.
Another issue I’ve seen is when charging the power bank, once fully charged, the lights will blink instead of recognizing it’s full and discontinue charging, and even after I unplug it, will continue blinking until, again, I press the button on the bottom.
Like I said, these things only happen sometimes, but enough to have me concerned.
Otherwise, it works fine most of the time and I quite like it. The magsafe technology is very convenient, and the kickstand is pretty cool. I like that it’s a magnetized folding plate instead of a flimsy plastic hinged thing like some other similar products have.

First you should know this charger only charges at 7.5w, 2.5w faster then the apple battery pack. However, it wont ever be as fast as just plugging in your device to a wall charger. I have the iPhone 13 pro, and it fits perfectly with a case on however if you don’t have a case on you notice a bit of overhang. This charger can get my phone from 17% to ~95% but it wont charge as fast if you’re using power demanding apps. The stand is also great, personally I don’t use it as much but its always convenient when I need it.
Gaming
Gaming with this battery pack is great and will slowly charge your phone while playing but playing games such as call of duty with high graphics will just drain the battery form pack rather than your phone. But lighter games such as Clash Royale or crossy road where they don’t demand much graphical performance work just great and won’t stop your phone from charging. I also did notice it gets warm but not so much to where it’s a concern of a fire or burning, almost having one of those hand warms you might see during the winter.
Overall I have really enjoyed this product as it can help me get through a day with out having to be tied to a wall. I definitely recommend it and could even see myself getting a second one for traveling where outlets aren’t always available. Not to mention being able to charge other devices such as my AirPods from the usb c port at the bottom.

I’m only able to charge my iPhone at 50% before the battery dies. Not worth the money.
Anton Dyakulich –
I recently purchased the Anker wireless charger and I have been extremely satisfied with its performance. The charger is sleek and compact, making it easy to fit on my desk or nightstand without taking up too much space.
The charging speed is impressive, as my phone charges quickly and efficiently. I love the convenience of being able to simply place my phone on the charger and have it start charging immediately, without needing to fumble with cords or plugs.
The build quality of the charger is also top-notch. It feels sturdy and well-made, which gives me confidence that it will last a long time. The non-slip surface ensures that my phone stays in place while charging, even if I accidentally bump it.
I also appreciate the versatility of the charger. It is compatible with a wide range of devices, including both iPhones and Android phones. This makes it a great option for households with different types of phones.
Overall, I highly recommend the Anker wireless charger. It offers fast and efficient charging, is well-built, and is compatible with a variety of devices. It has made my charging experience much more convenient and hassle-free.

Awesome, portable, perfect!

I bought this for my son a while back and he loves it – works great as a external battery, has great retention against the MagSafe magnet, and gives his 12 pro an additional 50% battery top up. Overall it was a great buy and he’s still super happy with it.
That said, I would caution ppl to remember that you can’t use both the batter and another MagSafe accessory at the same time (trust me – this suppose some ppl).
