It is appealing to the eyes, has a blue light to offer some ambiance
Keeps your drinks cold, we don’t use it for wine, but for soda/juice/water it still works great.
Coldest temp is 40F which is plenty cold for drinks usually
It’s not very loud. We have ours in the living room area, if we are watching TV we cannot hear it run at all.

My biggest complaint would be the quality of the shelves. One is glass, 2 are wire. The 2 wire shelves have a tendancy to sag under weight. I’m talking four 30oz bottles of water was too much I guess. So we are careful about what we put on those 2 shelves.

Also, keep in mind, With a fridge this small when you open the door it lets almost ALL of the cold air out which requires it to work harder to get back to temp. If you are quick about it, it isn’t too bad. But I have seen it go from 40F to 56F in less than 30 seconds while loading some drinks into it. So it is definitely more useful if you do not need to access it repeatedly all day long. But usually it is back to 40F in 15-20 minutes or so, it just uses more electricity that way.

We wanted a spacious wine cooler and a Consumer Reports review tipped the decision in favor of Antartic.
The product was delivered well-packaged and the setup was simple, as was the straight-forward directions.
I had a question about the capability of the glass vs wire shelving and called the provided number for customer service. I was astounded NOT to get an automatic menu, or to be placed on immediate perpetual hold. Instead, a gracious representative provided a clear answer within a few moments.. After completing the setup, the cooler is working smoothly and quietly. In sum, fine product, fine support, and now….fine wine!

Edited 3/19/24. I set the temperature to 41, then didn’t open it for a week. The wine was chilled to 42-43. Set to 43, the wine is 45. So the difficulty isn’t so much the refrigerator as the fact that it takes a long time to cool the interior. It works better than my review suggests.

I have been using this for over two months, to be sure I passed through the initial quirks. Overall it is quite good, although I have a few small complaints. The first is the temperature, which is the main point of a refrigerator. It came set to 46, and cooled wine reliably to 49.6 °F. I lowered it to 44 and the wine temperature went up to 51.5. I set it to 48, which it claims is the best, and the wine temperature went up a bit more. I tried 46 again and the temperature didn’t change. Now I have it at 44 and get a wine temperature of 50.5 °F. I was trying to get 48 but 50.5 isn’t bad; one of these days I’ll try lowering the temperature.

It does hold the temperature reliably. The cooling system is not strong, so if you just fill the refrigerator with wine it will take ages to reach a steady temperature, during which time it will run frequently. (And while it does indeed keep below ~39 dB, my main refrigerator runs at about 25 dB of sound.) I added an RV refrigerator fan, and use it whenever I put in a lot of new wine; this significantly cuts the time it takes to reach a steady temperature.

The statement is that it will hold 36 bottles. That assumes that you remove the glass shelves and stack the bottles (even the recessed bottom shelf is deep enough for a standard wine bottle lying down). Since I have separated the wine into three sections (wines for aging, wines my wife likes, and my wines) I have one layer of 8 bottles, one of 10, and the top layer of 12 (plus a couple bottles in the rack at the top that are among my favorites but not in the aging group). I’d say I could fit 27 this way. Since I rarely need more space than that, I’m satisfied.

Easy to use, I took the wine rack out to fit more cans. If you use the wine rack you definitely are taking up a lot of room in the fridge. It’s quiet and does light up but it’s not a real dramatic effect. For the price it was a great deal!
