I got this for my son who takes piano. We wanted weighted keys. He was very pleased with this. He has only been playing it for a week, so I can’t really say anything about the long term. I will say that it was harder than I would have liked to put the stand together and it still wasn’t completely balanced/even like I would have wanted it to be. It seems like one of the angles was wrong. Also it comes with leather straps but it 100% not clear how those are supposed to be used. There are also extra screws that I couldn’t figure out where they were supposed to go and I am assuming it had to do with the leather straps but the directions were a million percent unclear and so it seems to work okay without those screws or leather straps but some clarity on that would have been helpful. So the stand would really get three stars, but the piano is five so I am leaving it at five.

I’ve been taking piano classes at my local community college for the past year, equivalent to a level 1 and 2 class. At home, I would practice with this keyboard I had for around 5 years that had great sound, a handful of interesting midi sounds, but abysmal keys with no resistance. It isn’t something you would notice or care about just starting with piano, but after 6 months I noticed just how much more comfortable and better playing on the more expensive keyboards and actual pianos at my school felt—I also DESPERATELY needed a pedal. So I set out to find a keyboard that would suit my wants and needs: something that just had fully weighted keys, had good sound quality, and had a good looking stand—I didn’t want an X-style stand like I had before.
The keys: The keys are great. They feel pretty much as weighted as the Yamaha keyboards we use in my class. They still feel different from acoustic/grand pianos, but pretty good.
The sound: To be honest…I really wasn’t expecting the sound to be kind of mediocre. My previous keyboard, The One Light light-weighted keyboard, has a pretty decent sound quality. I’m not too experience with pianos, but I wouldn’t say it was any worse than the Yamaha I use in class. This one…it’s not too bad, but it has a very definite digital-sounding feel to it. I noticed it immediately when I used it and immediately assumed it was because of some button that was accidentally turned on. Nope. That’s the default state. I got used to it after using it for a bit, but I wouldn’t put the sound high on the list. It makes me wonder what the other reviewers were hearing, since part of the reason why I got this is because the reviews said it had good sound quality.
The build: the keys don’t feel cheap, though whether they are or not isn’t really an indicator of that. The body of the keyboard mixes between thin and hardened plastic—the thin plastic parts don’t feel cheap but they don’t feel not cheap, you know? The stand itself is made of wood and is fairly easy to put together and should be pain free for those unexperienced with building things like this.
Overall, if you really want something with fully weighted keys, 88 keys, a slightly fancier stand, that comes with the three pedal attachments, then this is a pretty good option. I ultimately chose this one because I was eyeing the Yamaha keyboards when they were out of my price range. This one felt like a good compromise between price and quality, and I wouldn’t say that the quality is bad at all. Some of these problems just feel like ones that will be fixed as soon as you get a more expensive keyboard.

This is a great keyboard. Heavy duty and just what I was looking for. There were no clear instructions for how to use the extra sounds but my kids were able to figure it out.

The piano itself works ok, but these are the grouses I have with it.
1) The BUILT-IN MUSIC STAND is thin and flexible, and falls over even when you hard-jam it into the slot. It fell over at practice, so at an open-air musical event, we angled it so that the wind would help keep it in place, but in spite of that, it fell over and dropped our tablet on the ground. We had to use a separate music stand.
2) The NUMBER OF TONES are limited to 6; in general, they’re ok, but if it were me, I’d reduce the number of beats and increase the number of tones.
3) The LACK OF PHYSICAL BUTTONS to change sounds; while you’re playing, you can’t change tones easily – you have to carefully look at the list and then press two buttons. Physical buttons to change sounds, beats, etc would make this more useful in a performance mode.
I would recommend looking for something a little more expensive, but better layout, for serious musicians.

This keyboard has the key feel and sound of a real piano. I was surprised how good of quality it is for this budget price point. It’s not just for beginners! I purchased the version with the stand, headphones, and 3 pedals. Everything works great right out of the box. The stand is much better than the traditional “X” ones. However, the assembly directions for that are horrible. It took some trial and error to get the stand together correctly. The 4 rubber straps actually attach to the sides of the keyboard (2 on each side coming together like a “v” to one screw on the stand) to keep it from falling off. They are a big help to have on, once you figure out how to attach them. Pleased with my purchase.

Decided to get back into piano after a very long time away. This keyboard feels solid and the keys feel a lot like an acoustic piano. Good sound, good feel, and responsive enough so far to have decent dynamics. We will see if it still holds up when I get better, but I’m optimistic.
