INCREIBLE. Lo digo pocas veces, pero este producto es increíble, en todos los aspectos. Es bonito, minimalista, el color negro le da un toque de elegancia a mi habitación, y lo que más me gustó es que no hace ruido. Mi anterior power strip hacía mucho ruido cuando tenía conectado a varios aparatos y dispositivos electrónicos, con esta nueva se siente una gran diferencia. No se que tan cierta sea la garantía del fabricante con respecto a la protección de hasta $50,000 dólares de gastos por cubrir tus productos electrónicos, pero lo que si se es que está power strip es la mejor que he probado, y hasta ahora la mejor que he comprado para mi casa.
Un detalle que me gusta es que en el caso de comprar la versión con 7 contactos, tiene un espacio extra entre 1 y las otras 6, esto es muy conveniente cuando conectas un portátil y el cargador es gigante, como es el caso para algunos Mac.
Otro detalle que me gustó mucho y que comprueba que las características mencionadas en la descripción del producto son ciertas, es que en una ocasión hubo una tormenta eléctrica cerca de mi domicilio, y la luz se fue espontáneamente en muchas ocasiones, eso hubiera bastado para dañar algún aparato electrónico de mi habitación, cosa que por suerte no paso, porque este producto se encargo de cortar la variación de voltaje repentina ocasionada por la tormenta, logrando que mis aparatos electrónicos no sufrieran ningún daño. Eso sí, tuve que reconectar el power strip porque el led que indica el funcionamiento de la misma se encendió en rojo y no estaba pasando corriente a los aparatos electrónicos.

Excelente regulador. Materiales muy resistentes y de gran calidad. Diseño muy bonito y funcional. Tiene suficiente espacio entre cada toma de corriente. Lo que me encantó es el largo del cable lo que permite colocarlo en diferentes lugares. Tiene orificios para ponerlo en la pared. Tengo 1 mes con él y hasta el momento todo perfecto. Sin duda volvería a comprarlo.

I am using this in my glass studio to power and protect some very expensive equipment. The switched power makes it much safer for me to set up and take down at the end of the day, and I trust APC. I have used their products for years and have not had a problem yet, despite being connected to what has to be the worst public utility company in the uS.

If I need a basic surge protector at my clients locations, this is my goto. It does exactly what I want it to do, easy to mount if needed, easy to tuck away and looks good. I love the flat plugs as well. Power strips should be replaced at least every 5 years in a business, but I keep running across ancient ones that belong in my museum and not used to plug in a brand new $2k desktop or laptop 🙂 So either I buy them or my client does, but if your old power strip is now yellow when it started out white – get these.

Got this for the wife’s sit/stand desk, which has a metal cable management tray. This fit perfectly inside the tray and the cable was long enough and sturdy enough that it could get to the outlet, but also not get eaten by our robot vacuum!

APC is a trusted brand that I rely on for surge protectors, power strips, and UPS devices. Their products are well-built and reasonably priced. The angled plug design reduces interference with other electronics plugged into the same wall outlet, which is a considerate feature.
This power strip includes 7 outlets, and they are well-spaced. The extra spacing for the last outlet is convenient for accommodating larger adapters. It also has four holes if you wish to mount the power strip on a wall, desk, or another surface, although I haven’t personally used that feature.
All the outlets securely hold the plugs. The only feature I wish it had is a sliding dust cover for unused outlets, but given the price, I am very satisfied.

I’ve had the pleasure of a few of these going through a massive surge. They did their job but i had to replace them. I took them apart to confirm the amount of protection as well. The size is great for tucking away, plug spacing manages to fit most plugs without blocking.
Something to keep in mind if your home got hit by lightning or an electrical fault that it’s better to err on the side of caution in these situations and just replace them. The protection does “run out” over enough surges and this won’t always result in the strip not working to supply power. It’ll keep “working” but not to prevent surges. Cheap insurance really.
