Simple, does the job, no complaints from me. I actually ended up buying a second one for another computer.
One of them started beeping for no reason once. I just shut it off, then powered it on again and it worked fine, not sure what the problem was, but it still works perfectly well.

Use this to eliminate surges and short power outages impacting my StarLink system. Works great. Very easy to set up.

I originally purchased 2 of these to help protect some of my more expensive equipment from surges (1 each in my home office & front room) after my electric company gave me the proverbial finger when I filed a claim on a $350 video surveillance system that had the hard drive controller get fried after a surge that happened when they were repeatedly turning the power on & off; I later bought a 3rd one & am expecting I may purchase a 4th in the future.
So far, I’ve seen very little issue with them, even getting some usage on the devices that are plugged into them during a power outage (although I usually unplug those devices from them to preserve the battery life in case the power is out for 3 or more days again, intending on using that battery life to charge my phone if necessary). I’m impressed with their performance so far & really have nothing to say negative about them for the time being. The only thing I can really say is to watch what outlets you plug your devices into if you want battery backup on them; 2 of the outlets on the device do NOT provide battery backup, only surge protection.
UPDATE: I have purchased 6 of these since July 09, 2021, I had my first one conk out tonight (early morning) on December 17, 2023, resulting in a shrill, never-ending beep & not powering anything. This was one of the first ones I purchased, which has had heavy use on it from a gaming computer that is almost never turned off. It worked well while I was using it, although I will point out it don’t last long when the power is out with the computer using power off of it (normally the PC is turned off in a power outage). I moved one of the newer ones from my bedroom into the office to replace the one that went out for my computer & have ordered another to replace it (this being my seventh one).
UPDATE: The earliest I have had one of these conk out was a little over 6 months (another one going out tonight on 2/2/2024), so life of this device varies; I think I might start getting the extended warranty when I purchase a new one (I probably could have gotten a free replacement on this last one to go out)…

Use for my PC, Monitor, and wifi-router, and when the power goes out, I still have wifi, and I have time to save and close my projects. Works great so far.
Amazon Customer –
Highly recommend this product and brand. I had a power outage recently and the unit still provided enough backup power to charge my phone. The unit is not bulky which is also a plus. I had a prior unit from this company and it lasted over 10 years.

This unit was the most cost-effective UPS providing backup power for a fiber optic phone hub and handset. It has a replaceable battery and at least a stepped sine wave output as opposed to the non-replaceable, square wave on smaller less expensive options. The stepped sine wave is not as good as a pure sine wave but it is not as noisy as a square wave.
Sample oscilloscope screen shots of line power and the backup stepped sine wave are attached. Both screen shots were captured from the UPS AC outlet, line power is passed through when power is online and the stepped sine wave kicks in on backup mode. The included PowerChute software allows for some customization (audible alerts, logging and transfer trigger sensitivity).

I have had the pleasure of utilizing the APC UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector, specifically the BE600M1 Back-UPS with USB Charger Port, for the past month, and I must say that it has truly exceeded my expectations. This device has proven to be an invaluable asset in safeguarding my electronics against power outages and harmful power surges.
Allow me to elaborate on the reasons why I am so impressed with this UPS battery backup:
One of the standout features of the APC UPS Battery Backup is its remarkable power backup capability. With a 600VA capacity, it provides ample power to keep my computer, monitor, and router operational for an extended period during a power outage. This ensures uninterrupted productivity and peace of mind, knowing that my critical devices will remain online.
Equally noteworthy is the surge protection offered by the APC UPS Battery Backup. It serves as a robust defense mechanism against power surges that could potentially damage my valuable electronics. By shielding them from harmful voltage fluctuations, I can rest assured that my devices are well-protected.
The inclusion of a USB charger port is a convenient and thoughtful addition to this UPS battery backup. During a power outage, I can utilize this port to charge my phone or tablet, ensuring that I stay connected and powered up even in challenging situations.
While my experience with the APC UPS Battery Backup has been predominantly positive, I did encounter a couple of minor issues during the initial setup. Initially, the device did not power on when plugged in, necessitating a few attempts of unplugging and reconnecting it before it functioned properly. Additionally, the intermittent beeping, which occurs when the device is not connected to a power source, initially posed a minor annoyance. However, I was able to rectify this by disabling the battery backup feature, effectively ceasing the beeping.
Overall, I am genuinely satisfied with the performance and capabilities of the APC UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector. Its ability to safeguard my electronics from power outages and surges has provided me with peace of mind and uninterrupted functionality. Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable battery backup solution.
In addition to the pros previously mentioned, here are a few more aspects to consider:
Pros:
– Robust power backup capacity
– Effective surge protection
– Convenient USB charger port
– Compact and lightweight design for easy placement
– Affordable price point
Cons:
– Initial setup may present challenges for some users
– Intermittent beeping can be bothersome (resolved by disabling battery backup feature)
– Battery backup feature may have a slight impact on power consumption
While there are a few minor cons to be aware of, I firmly believe that the benefits offered by the APC UPS Battery Backup far outweigh any drawbacks. Its reliable performance, combined with its ability to safeguard your electronics, makes it an excellent investment for those seeking protection and uninterrupted functionality during power outages and surges.

It seems I buy one of these about every 3-5 years because one of them eventually fails (I’ve got 4 here).
I did buy a replacement battery for my UPS but turns out it was the UPS that was bad (wouldn’t keep the battery charged) and now I’m stuck with a replacement battery because it can’t be returned.
But during outages and surges these things do their job and protect your electronic devices, so it’s worth the cost to keep a working one on my computer and electronic equipment.
Not the greatest lifetime but considering it lasts at least 3 years I’d say it’s a good value.
