Upon opening this light, I was impressed. It’s wider than my other light and has taller legs. But when I went to use it, I felt a bit let down. My biggest gripe is that when I go to turn the light off… it turns it to the night light mode. I hit the button again and it turns it back on? Then I hit the button a THIRD time and it finally turns off. Over time, this became super frustrating to me. I shouldn’t have to hit the button three times just to turn the light off. I don’t even understand WHY it turns it back on? Like why is that an option? It makes no sense. I also noticed that sometimes it would forget how dim I had the light set, and I would have to set it all over again.
The light has several different functions. You can choose from different lighting modes, different levels of brightness, and a timer. The night light feature was nice. It darkened the tank but you could still see what was going on. That was one thing I did like about it. I didn’t mess with the timer, so I can’t give a solid opinion on that.
For the price, I do think it’s a solid light. It fit perfectly on my 20 gallon tall. It was easy to put together and to set up. But the more I used it, the more frustrated I became. I ended up switching back to my old light. I think I’ll save this one as a back up.

Works great, easy to program. Provides good light and my plants are healthy. I would recommend this for a 10 Gallon tank, no larger or smaller as the length of the light fits perfect, just a few inches on each side from the edge of the tank.

I have a 20 long tank which has a nice light on it, but it does not seem to be enough light for the plants. I removed one of the three filters I had on the back and wanted to put an extra light in that opening area.
HOW LONG?
This light acutally measures under 10 inches long but under 4 inches wide (under each by 1/8 inch). Yes it has wire stands on it, and that allows it to fit on a larger frame, but honestly, I want to have light from edge to edge so you will want to know that.
QUALITY OF LIGHT
I have a spot that is perfect for the 10 inch light and the wire stands fit it perfectly in place. I put this on full spectrum with all of the lights on. I like this light quite a bit. It allows me to turn down the white light and turn up the color if I want to, or turn up the white if I want to.
TIMER
The timer on this is pretty simple. Of course, you have to set the timer at the time you want it to come on, so if you miss it one day, you have to wait until the next to get it right. So far if power is cut to it, it seems to go back on. I have not been able to test it in power outages for extended time.
PLANTS
The corner I have this light in has been too dark which has been frustrating. The addition of this little light in the back on a shorter timer than the full tank light has allows the plants back there to grow and green up quite a bit. I have noticed the plants leaning toward that light after a week which is a great sign.
Usually a 20 long tank is shallow enough that a Finnex Planted 24/7 programmable is more than enough. In this tank, it does not seem to be enough. This light adds quite a bit of extra boost to the plants and so far I am liking what I am seeing. If it is too much, I can turn the timer down and even the intensity of both color and white lights.
CORD
The cord is plenty long enough and the controls are about halfway up the cord, making it adaptable for a variety of plug scenarios. My outlet is near the light so it is easy to put up there. I simply tied the cord into a bunch and twisted it into place.
THE BOTTOM LINE
This light is a great light. The separte light controls, timer, and memory make it great to work with. Just remember to size up if you want it to cover the entire top of the aquarium.

FIVE STARS. I would buy this again. I am considering it with one of my smaller tanks that can use a small light.

Only thing missing is a digital visual screen, programmable of course, otherwise I find it excellent. Illuminates tank with a light that the fish and plants thrive in. Very satisfied overall, and the price is right. I highly recommend this aquarium light.

I prefer these kinds of low profile LED lighting to the traditional lighting.
The legs can extend to accommodate different sizes.
It has 3 different light modes to suit your preference.
You can control the brightness of both the white and colored lights.
Has three timers that you can choose from.
I do wish that it had a night mode with blue lights though.

This is a nice light. I use it to grow duckweed and other plants, which it can easily do.
It is very bright and has a lot of adjustability. I currently have it connected to a smart plug, which is also an option. This way it is on the same on/off schedule as all of my other tanks.
I like how sleek and nice the light itself looks. Very quality and nice. I don’t see the need to spend money on expensive lighting when you can just get something like this for a much better value.

I really like this light!
Pros:
– Can turn on just white lights
– Can turn on just RGB lights
– Each type of light has around 9 or 10 different intensity levels so you can really dial in what light you need
– Timer will run for X hours each 24 hour cycle. As long as it is not unplugged or power interrupted, it will execute the specified power-on time from the first time you press the timer button.
– The legs easily attach and slide in and out to fit lots of different size tanks
Cons:
– The timer bit seems a bit wonky, but since it doesn’t have an app or remote, it’s allowed to be a bit wonky.
Overall, this light works great. There really isn’t anything that stands out as a negative other than the timer. I would buy this again if needed.

If you have a 5gal or 10gal tank you can’t beat the quality for this price! There is a timer and a dimmer. No, it doesn’t have super extensive features and isn’t infinitely customizable, but you can set 8, 10, 12 hr timers and independently adjust the colors of the lights. It has worked great for my fish and also my live plants

I got this aquarium light from Aqqa for my quarantine tank. As far as the controller goes, I found it a little confusing to set. That said, I did eventually get it set up for my tank. The light kept my plants alive and thriving.
The legs are very easy to adjust. I like the fact that I can dim the light so it’s less obtrusive at night.
