All of the other air purifiers I have are for smaller rooms (190-490sf) and are smaller in keeping with their filtering a smaller space. This unit is for double my largest one, but was still surprised how loud the first setting it is. It’s doing a big job so I guess it needs to be louder. It does however have an “auto” setting that is lower, and a “sleep” setting that is very quiet but also puts out virtually no air…. So all in all, I wish it were quieter but it’s doing a big job. I also wish it had backlit lights on the function keys, and that giant ring of blue light is completely unnecessary. There is a setting to turn the display (light) off, thank goodness, or it would have been returned. So, 4 stars. Not perfect, but very strong. And it was a good price with a discount on it.

My house is a total of 3000 sqft with an almost all open floor plan. Lots of dust, pollen and pet dander in my home and we were constantly cleaning the filter on our air conditioner. Plus there were days my allergies were unbearable. I purchased another brand for the bedroom which was twice as expensive and it works OK so I wanted another for the main area of the house. Did some research on this model and purchased it for the living room/den/dining area because it claimed to clean more than 1000 sqft, which is about the size of the three rooms combined. We have two big dogs and the Mrs smokes. As soon as I turned the unit on it lit up red ( poor air quality) which I already knew. Within 45 minutes it changed to yellow and 1/2 hr later it was lighting blue. Noticed a big difference within a few hours of receiving this and turning it on. This unit works much better than the other one I have in the bedroom, at half the cost. Very quiet operation, and seems to do an excellent job. The dust was cut down considerably, the cigarette smoke smell is almost gone, the air feels lighter and more crisp already. Will purchase another for the other area of my house ( kitchen, other dining area, etc… Very happy with unit and the price was right.
EDIT: After using continuously for an entire month I have to say this unit is fantastic! The amount of dust in my home is greatly reduced. My allergies are much better, and the air is crisp and clean. I could not be happier with this and it is by far one of the better purchases I have made. Buying another for a different area of my home.

I am in love with this machine! Purchased this item because I have horrible allergies and this year in particular they have been really bad. Also because we have pets and found mold in our house (cleaned up). I have noticed a considerable difference after having this machine and running it daily. My husband walked into the house the other day and said “Wow! It smells like a spring day in here. Like you have all the windows open. Everything smells so fresh!” It has a nice sound and even has an option to make it even quieter (I like the white noise). I love the air quality indicator. It’s just awesome! Highly recommend!

This really helps the air quality in my home, my kitchen and living room are close together and it really helps get rid of the food smell, it works at a fast speed it changes colors when it detects bad air quality it’s easy to clean off great size! And the sleep mode is so quiet you don’t even notice it’s on.
