I bought this with the idea of popping it in my bag and heading off to write in the great outdoors. Or a cafe at any rate. With cake. I have yet to take it out and about but I have been using it in the house with my tablet when I don’t want to fire up the laptop.
So…its very ingenious. The hinges work well and the magnets hold it shut when not in use. When you open it up it automatically pairs to the tablet so you only need to set it up once.
Typing is easy once you get used to the small size, which is noticeable but then it’s a portable sized keyboard so you adapt. You can use it on your lap but it does ‘flop’ about a bit so would be better with a book or something underneath to provide a little more stability. On a table top it would be fine.
I have noticed that I don’t always manage to hit the space bar hard enough so sometimes words run together, but I assume that’s my fault rather than the keyboard.
On the whole I think it’s a lovely little thing to pair to a tablet or phone and certainly small and light enough to carry about, yet it still feels well made and the aluminium looks good too!

I write about 3000 words a day on my iphone.
99% of what i do is on my iphone— no longer bother even with the iPad mini other than watching films.

Own an earlier version of this keyboard—same sized and feel of the keys- which folds in the middle and has no function keys— the issue is when Im walking or in the subway want to write with the iphone on my lap— that keyboard will collapse in the middle as there is no rigid support.

This Arteck has a solid center as it folds with wings on both sides— so typing with it on my lap is a non issue— its brilliant. Slightly larger than my other folding keyboard- as it has the function keys— still easy to put in my back pocket. The typing experience for me even on this smaller keyboard is great— the tactile feel of the keys is first rate and i can type as fast as i can on a full keyboard.

This keyboard also allows you to use multiple keyboards at a touch of an FN button— up to three—previous to this the only other keyboard that could do this was my other favorite portable keyboard— the mid sized Logitech which is what I use at home with my iphone, iPad mini, and MacAir. It is too big to carry with me all the time.

I dont like or understand “working at home” when Im home I dont want to work— its my safe and free space— the Arteck folding keyboard allows me to use my existing time to work— waiting in my truck, walking the city, or on the subway— its amazing how much work you can get done by focusing and piggybacking on “existing time”.

This is a Brilliant Keyboard and feels great.

Will probably buy another as a backup. Because i write so much on my iphone— the fingers have developed on both hands- a carpel tunnel kind of tendinitis—10 years and 16,000 pages of writing on the iphone without a keyboard.

This keyboard alleviates that issue and takes the stress off my fingers.

It is amazing how productive you can get by doing EVERYTHING on your iphone. You can run your whole business easily on your iphone.

This keyboard is a game changer and I love using.

Very portable. It’s the same size and weight as a phone and fits nicely in big pockets or small handbags. It’s easy to plonk this and my phone in my lap and type away, and the keys are pleasantly springy.

It isn’t the quietest keyboard though (comparable to using a mechanical keyboard) despite its “whisper-quiet” claims, so don’t use this during a meeting. It’s also just slightly smaller than a normal laptop keyboard, enough to trip you up if you touch-type – so if that’s what you’re used to, expect to have to look down to type until you get used to it.

Other than that, I wish I bought this sooner.

I love the way this keyboard works, can connect up to 3 different items, turns on and off upon opening and closing. Nice and portable, I use it mainly with my phones to type emails and messages.

Closest to a full size keyboard and feels very solid. Need to use it on a flat surface.

Well designed and solidly built keyboard. When folded it completely protects the keyboard from damage and takes up very little space. Keys are responsive with just the right amount of pressure and feedback, for me. Keys are well sized for extended use, except the number keys are a bit small, but not an issue unless you have to enter a lot of numerical data. Keyboard immediately paired and connected with my Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and Galaxy Note 4 phone, also paired and connected easily with my Windows 7 PC. No observed latency issues (delay between key press and display on screen). Function buttons work as expected with the various features on my mobile devices (playing media, cut, paste, etc). Keyboard would benefit from some way to raise or prop the keyboard up at the top end when unfolded to improve ergonomic friendly typing. Maybe a small unfolding stand or flip down tabs, like on desktop keyboards.
UPDATE: Installed Windows 10 and had no trouble pairing and connecting keyboard. My PC does not have built in Bluetooth so I have to use a BT adapter (Kinivo, works great) and I find no issues connecting by adapter rather than through manufacturer installed adapter.
Con; when pressing keys at the far ends of the keyboard the keyboard will tilt a little, which can be a bit of an interference. In addition to a way to prop top up a little, something on the sides to keep board from tilting would be nice. This is not a major drawback, but a matter of minor convenience.

Quality of design and build are great. Could use some minor improvements. All in all; A very solid, useful and easy to use device for the purpose of typing data into mobile displays. A good value at its price. Just got it and had limited time to test. Will update this review if needed after further testing. EDIT: Keyboard charges up very quickly. I am timing how long a charge lasts and will post that later. Have used it quite a bit and have seen no issues whatsoever yet. Once I’m done completely done putting this thing through all its paces I will most likely upgrade the rating to 5 stars. So far the only holdback is the lack of a way to prop it up and the number keys. If after more use those turn out to be minor I will give it 5 stars. I’d say right now it’s at 4.50 stars.

I purchased this keyboard almost 2 years ago. I do a lot of work on the move, and having the clever little keyboard that fits in my pocket is very handy. While the compact size is a big bonus, there are necessary tradeoffs in that the keys are smaller than full size and the number row is shifted right a bit. These are issues that become manageable with practice. In addition to the regular keys, there is a function key that enables control of brightness, audio playback, screen capture, moving to the Home Screen or Search, and checking the battery. The battery life is excellent, and it is easy to pair, connect to, and switch between up to three devices. The keyboard is easiest to use when laid on a hard, flat surface. A table or desk is best, but a clipboard, binder, or hard book can work when using the keyboard on a lap.

Recently, several of the keys on my keyboard stopped responding. The instructions that come with the keyboard have a Arteck customer service email. I wrote to them and they suggested some trouble shooting ideas. When those didn’t work, they let me know that my device was still under warranty as I had purchased it less than 24 months ago. A replacement arrived 2 days later. The fifth star in my rating is because this product is backed up by Arteck making this a solid purchase for anyone looking for a versatile, reliable, portable keyboard.

My favourite keyboard for lots of reasons, I never thought I’d end up saying that about a portable/foldable keyboard, or to be using this as my main keyboard, but it’s nice to use and super handy.

Style is cool, kinda techie but not too in-your-face, build quality is really nice and the way it folds is cool. I would say its just on the cusp of being big enough to type comfortably, I wouldn’t mind if it was slightly bigger but I also like how small and compact it is so there’s a tradeoff I guess. The charge lasts a long time and there’s a little indicator to show how charged it is.

I use it between 2 devices (my main laptop and a raspberry pi) and switching between devices is super easy and quick and a little light shows a different colour depending on the device its connected to.

One negative is that I had it for about 6 months and then it randomly stopped charging, but support was very helpful and sorted the issue quickly.
