Our 10 year old dog Auggie loves this new addition to his breakfast. He loves the taste and he definitely has more energy during our walks. He has to walk up/down lots of steps at home, so joint health is really important for Auggie. Arterra is keeping Auggie’s joints healthy and strong.

I started my 12 year old dachshund on Arterra’s senior formula two months ago, replacing three separate supplements I was previously giving her.
She’s really been slowing down, so my expectations were measured and I would have been happy with just maintaining her health, but the positive changes I’ve seen have been dramatic. She’s very obviously moving better and even jumping on furniture when she used to wait and ask me for a lift. More dramatic has been the change in her mood – she seems happier, more energetic, and generally more at ease, particularly when we have company or she’s playing with other dogs.
I don’t know if this product will extend her life, but it’s certainly improved its quality. While expensive, I’m actually spending less than I was on the supplements it replaced. This stuff is the real deal, and we’ll keep her on it as long she’s with us.

My dogs can now bench press 250lbs after taking this supplement! In all seriousness, I have been doing some research about health supplements for my two Labradors since they are getting a little older and labs are prone to hip dysplasia. I wanted to be proactive with their health, so I decided to give this supplement a try. After taking the supplement, my pups have had a noticeable uptick in energy and have a much easier time going up and down the stairs in our home. Both my pups and I are happy with the results!!!

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE how healthy this brand is and the care they take by ingredient selection. The amount of research I did PRIOR to getting this would probably have sufficient to write a college essay.
With that being said, I have two large dogs. One is a brand new (ok, not BRAND new) pup of about 9 months old and the other is lovingly nicknamed “Grandpa” because he’s my old man.
Grandpa is a king shepherd and if you know anything about dogs, you know that shepherds of any flavor are notorious for hip issues and decreased mobility. So I was ecstatic to see this food additive!
Now the picture included in my review is of the full “dose” mixed in with grandpas food. And water, because my goodness, it was like paste!
IT FREAKING STINKS.
I have a strong stomach. 14 years in a career where decomp was a normal breakfast smell, pretty much nothing phases me. THIS had my gagging until the point of tears.
Needless to say, grandpa wouldn’t touch it. He just looked at me with sad eyes until I stopped my theatrics. The puppy, who literally eats lamp wires, plastic bottles, and metal pieces, also wouldn’t touch it.
I tried less the next day and added in some favorites.. try to entice him. No. Absolutely. Not. I started to get creative in how I tried to essentially force feed this stuff to my dog. Still to this day, he’s not tried it. I can’t get him to even lick it.
So, it isn’t the easiest to get my dog to eat. Ease to measure/mix! The quality seems to be there! But, it didn’t do much good by staying in the bowl. Which!!! Was an absolute PAIN to try and clean.
