Absolutely love it for the price point. Great product. I have 2 of these now in different sizes and both of them have been working great with my Mac.
Resolution is perfect for daily office work and I have noticed my eyes don’t get tired easily while working on this.

    *** UPDATE 12/23/21 ***
This update is to correct the top negative review titled “It’s not IPS and it’s not 75hz”. I don’t know where this person gets their information from, but the claim that you “cannot have both 1080 lines of resolution and 75hz at the same time” is completely false and untrue. And I’m a 20+ year I.T. tech. I’ve just attached a picture showing this monitor running at 75Hz in Linux. I’ve also had it working just fine at 75Hz in Windows as well. Now while you can’t visually tell much (probably none) difference between 60Hz and 75Hz like you can going from 60Hz to 120Hz, 75Hz is still better than 60Hz. And this monitor has been working fine at 75Hz since the first day I’ve owned it. If that reviewer’s statement were true, we wouldn’t be able to run monitors at 100Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, 240Hz, etc. The ONLY way this monitor would NOT run at 75Hz is if one’s video card or video card drivers do not support 75Hz. Mine does and that’s why I posted the picture of the monitor working at 75Hz. That reviewer’s card or drivers likely did not support 75Hz, so the option wouldn’t be there.

It sucks that Amazon took away the ability to comment on someone’s review. Otherwise this would have been corrected long ago, and probably wouldn’t be the top negative review that everyone sees first. It really bugs me when someone leaves a negative review with such completely inaccurate or false information, and then it goes unchecked and others say the review is helpful.

Having said that, I’ve had zero issues with this monitor. It’s crisp, clear, colorful. And has been running flawless. Still 5/5. Definitely worth the money.

Original Review: (This is for the 27″ version)

For the price, this is the best larger size monitor you can buy for a first monitor or if you’re on a budget. The stand is just okay (you get what you pay for). It only has tilt functions. If you want more, you’ll want to take advantage of the VESA mount on the back.

This monitor has tons of color and temperature settings. The super-slim bezel and picture colors are just gorgeous. I’m using it as a second monitor. It looks great and the price is excellent for the picture quality and aesthetics of the monitor.

If you’re looking for a first gaming monitor that won’t break the bank, or are on a tight budget and want a monitor that looks great or even an inexpensive second monitor, this is about the best you can get. And I’ve done my research. Go for it!

P.S. No stuck/dead pixels on mine!

Bought two of these to replace a 24″ dual monitor setup I have had for many years. These monitors are performing top-notch. I did a lot of research before deciding on these ASUS monitors. They have not disappointed in any way, with the exception of getting Windows 10 to load the specific driver for this monitor. ASUS should have included the driver disk with the monitor (yeah, it’s a cost saving issue with ASUS). I have been working on PC’s and laptops for 35+years and these monitors provide outstanding performance and having two of these set up in a dual monitor configuration gives excellent viewing real estate. At this price point, the bang for your buck can’t be beat. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a new or upgraded option.

I really like this monitor for work, photo editing and watching videos. 27″ is the ideal size for me since I like to be able to fit multiple different windows on a screen simultaneously and be able to still read everything clearly. This monitor definitely allows for that. I was reluctant to buy such a large monitor at first but I am very glad I went with this size instead of the comparable 24″ I was considering.

It is very well made and aesthetically pleasing in terms of design and after about two months has been working very well. The blue light filter is a nice touch and especially since Asus also offers this with my laptop, so the integration there is very pleasant.

I also appreciate that there is HDMI and VGA, especially since I already have a VGA to HDMI adapter so I can essentially use two HDMI inputs and swap between them which is a nice plus. There is an available option with a DisplayPort as well if you prefer that. I do not.

Only complaints I would have are the button layout on the back being a little awkward to adjust the monitor settings (but you get the hang of it after the first one or two times) and the screen’s bezel is not quite as slim as you would think before turning it on (there is a black bezel that’s maybe 1/4″ all the way around from the edge of the display, but you hardly notice it after about 5 minutes of use).

I am personally NOT a PC gamer, however I DON’T think I would recommend this monitor to someone who is a true graphics purist. 27″ is a LOT of screen area and 1080p is not a very high resolution (relatively speaking). You could absolutely game on it and it has a moderate refresh rate so it won’t be terrible, but I feel like someone who spends serious money on a graphics card should consider either a smaller screen (maybe 22″ or 24″) OR they should spend the extra money and get a 4k 27″ monitor. This is more general purpose and definitely not ideal for high FPS gaming.

Overall this is probably one of the better PC monitors on the market for its price point. Asus continues to impress me with the quality of their products, they really have come a long way in terms of their product design, performance, aesthetics and build quality. You will not be disappointed.

I’m not a gamer, but I do have a two monitor set-up. This unit works perfectly for me. Clear images, crisp and bright.
    I would recommend this product.
