The visual quality of this monitor is considerably superior to my previous IPS monitor. The colors are remarkably vivid and accurate, and the blacks are profound and saturated. It also features an exceptionally rapid refresh rate.
Although it is not an inexpensive monitor, I believe it is worth every penny.

Was originally loving the product, honestly everything was amazing about this monitor until it started developing a grid pattern on the screen. Now if I look at any tone of grey with the monitor it looks like a dirty screen door. In the picture I attached you can see vertical shadowing in a pattern, looks worse in person. Amazon refused to replace it because I was over the 30 days. Now I have to deal with warranty.

First off: when this monitor works, it works well. The problem is… it doesn’t always work well. In fact, it quite often works quite poorly. HDR is this monitor’s most notorious failing, and after multiple firmware updates they seem to have given up altogether – with the most recent firmware update the monitor’s HDR is passable on PC, but nothing to shake a stick at, and truly atrocious on PS5.
In addition there are a bunch of miscellaneous issues – if you leave the monitor plugged in too long, it will eventually start to have massive visual glitches all over the screen, regardless of whether or not you turn it off with the button, which initially made me think my monitor was failing after only a few months of using it. The options are also rather finicky and difficult to navigate, and if you navigate to a source that doesn’t have any input the monitor will simply refuse to open the options menu to navigate back, most of the time . . . which is annoying, because you need that menu in order to switch to another source! ASUS cheaping out and only providing HDMI 2.0 additionally drags this monitor down, as it means you can only get the most out of it using the singular display port – sorry, PS5.
Lastly, g-sync is sadly a virtual non-feature, but this is not a problem with this monitor specifically but rather with OLEDs in particular. For whatever reason, g-sync on OLEDs seems to result in flickering whenever there’s more than a minor drop / spike in FPS – including micro stutters, which are sadly extremely common when trying to play PC games, especially older ones.
Overall, if you have the money to spend on this monitor, you can probably afford an OLED from a more reliable brand. Poor support has made this early venture into OLED gaming from Asus into more of a mixed bag than it had to be.

This panel is pricy, although it’s recently been on sale for $160 less than what I paid for it (of course, right?).
Some of the reviews are scary: blank screens, reboots, dead pixels, issues on an all-blue screen, etc…but I’ve had none of these problems.
My panel has no dead pixels and works flawlessly. I’ve only had it for a few months, so I can’t comment on any long-term burn-in, but it does run the pixel cleaning routinely and I’ve had gaming sessions on it that have gone 6 hours or more several times, so far.
It came already loaded with the latest firmware update.
I use it mainly for gaming, and my room has blackout curtains, but even with the window open during the day, it’s more than bright enough for me.
I noticed the difference from my LG 27″ IPS panel that I bought 2 years ago instantly. The black levels are amazing, the contrast is insane, and the picture quality overall is the best I’ve ever seen in a monitor. This is the first monitor I can actually run in HDR mode that LOOKS like real HDR.
I know people also complain about text clarity, and while I don’t use this panel for anything work-related I have no issue with text.
Its eye-candy every time I turn it on. Adds so much depth to my gaming…and response time is the usual legendary OLED almost-instant. Don’t regret buying it at all and highly recommend.

This is the most expensive monitor I have every purchased by far. As such, I expected quality support, but I was sorely mistaken.
I used the monitor for 5 months before it suddenly would not display anything but a black screen. I could not access the OSD or use the monitor whatsoever. I completed all the troubleshooting steps and determined that the monitor was faulty.
The next part of my experience was nothing short of an infuriating and repetitive cycle of “customer support”. This monitor, unlike most, does not have a serial number attached to the device, only on the box can you find it. I threw away the box months ago assuming it was trash. There is literally no other way to get the serial number. Without the number, you cannot get a refund, send it in to be repaired, or have diagnostics done by ASUS.
I have been trying to get this overpriced, underperforming, headache of a machine fixed for almost 2 weeks now and am in the exact same position that I was in 2 weeks ago after multiple phone calls.
I will never by an ASUS monitor again and I strongly recommend you all do the same.

I love the picture and quality of the screen. Very easy to set up and pairs nice with any setup. One thing I find most satisfying about it is the screen lit up at night, doesn’t get any better than this

I upgraded from a 5 year old MSI Gaming desktop with an Nvidia 1670 GPU that I got years of gaming fun out of, but it finally up and died on me. I got a newer MSI Aegis R2 Gaming Desktop – Intel Core i9 Processor 14900F – GeForce RTX 4070. I wanted an OLED monitor for it and after much research ended up getting the ASUS ROG Swift 27”1440P OLED DSC Gaming Monitor (PG27AQDM). The combination of a nice GPU and this OLED monitor makes for a luxurious gaming experience. I am mostly playing Diablo IV and Overwatch 2. The resolution and various effects are great and Diable is so much funner to play now that it isn’t laggy and and I these beautiful graphics. Very happy with my purchase — OLED is worth it.

This is quite simply a gorgeous monitor. The gaming picture quality is superb. I have it connected to a Dell gaming laptop and I’ve noticed no ghosting while gaming or tearing in the screen even with the refresh rate set to 240Hz. The colors are incredible and the blacks are solid black. When I saw an OLED gaming monitor in a review I knew I had to have one. I’m so glad I made this purchase. If I had to list any drawbacks it’s the text is a little more difficult to read than a standard LED monitor and it only comes with HDMI 2.0 ports. Other than that, it’s a superb monitor and I highly recommend it.
