It’s a perfect router for a small home with a couple of smart devices and tablets connected. But do pay attention that it is only 2.5ghz so it will only work with the older Wifi devices and will not work with the 5ghz frequency.

I use to install these all the time with sat. internet, they worked great. I don’t do sat. installs anymore but bought four of these to use as ap’s on a few jobs. I realize the n-300 is not a robust router and for 30 bucks one should know it’s not for gaming but… The new version is much smaller and after running many tests the throughput is not anywhere as good as the old version of this router. It’s good for surfing and connecting to your phone in an out building or something that doesn’t require a lot. The speeds are chopped in half or close to it. It works but like I said, this new version like everything else today is much less than the old version. I won’t use them again. Better off springing for some Ubiquity gear. Peace out.

I’m sad bc this router doesn’t connect to any vpn. Not my laptop but directly to the vpn to hide my location without having to connect to the vpn on my computer. It’s a company laptop and I can’t download Nord to it bc it’s again policy.

First one arrived and setup for repeater. Failed to work. Had it replaced after discussing issue with tech support. New one worked fine out of box.

Bueno, bonito y barato, fácil de configurar e instalar con las herramientas suficientes para montar una red casera, es el primero que pido en este medio, pero el tercero que compro, Asus no decepciona, aún siendo de los más basicos tiene buen alcance y estabilidad en las conexiones, suficiente para unos 8 dispositivos conectados simultáneamente, perfecto para casas pequeñas o departamentos chicos de unos 80m², el alcance lineal es de aproximadamente 20 metros lineales sin obstáculos.

Estoy muy contento con esta compra, el router de mi proveedor de Internet no es el mejor del mercado y la señal que entregaba era mala (tuve que comprar un repetidor). Hice varias pruebas con este router vs el router de la compañia y los resultados fueron mayores a favor de Asus.
Existe una ganancia en cuanto a señal y velocidad que entrega el router Asus, adicional a eso las caracterÃsticas de su interfaz para manejar el Internet son muy buenas, conectado al router Asus tienes control parental sobre el Internet, tienes control sobre los dispositivos conectados a la red y puedes hasta bloquear dispositivos que no reconozcas (algún colgado) o limitar el Internet en los dispositivos. Tienes la facilidad de crear una red adicional para invitados y limitar el tiempo que estará activa esta red asà como el limite de Internet y un modo “Calidad de servicio” el cual una vez activado le dará prioridad de velocidad de Internet a los dispositivos que estén realizando cierta actividad, por ejemplo, si se configura para videojuegos puedes elegir cuanta velocidad de Internet se debe de usar para esa actividad y cuanta velocidad queda disponible para los usuarios que no estén haciendo eso (funcional para jugar sin lagg o para bajar archivos con prioridad) Asus tiene una aplicación gratis en Playstore para dispositivos Android la cual te permite configurar, manejar y monitorear el router sin tener que hacerlo desde la computadora. Sin duda aparte de cumplir su función tiene bastantes extras. Pruebas:

Has a good feature set, I’ve always been happy with Asus routers so I bought this to use as a range extender/wireless bridge for an IP camera in a remote part of the property. Was pulling my hair out trying to get it to work and finally stumbled on having to broadcast the SSID from my main router before this one would work as an extender. I’m not crazy about broadcasting my SSID but it does work well for the job I had for it. Can’t comment on router features but seems to have all the gadgets and doodads my RT-N66 has (awesome piece of kit).

Recently upgraded home to an ASUS AZ wireless mesh system, they combine both bands into a single network name unlike my earlier models, problem is my Vizio 4k TV refused to connect unless I “downgraded” the networks to the old “name for each band” way of configuring. I bought this router for under $30 to just have a single network to connect my TV. (Please note this router will not connect to an ASUS mesh system, I have it connected into the wired ethernet in the home)
